I couldn't find the model of the monitor on their website to try to update the firmware (even though that wasn't the issue) and the Samsung rep also couldn't find the model of my monitor when looking during troubleshooting. According to some reddit posts, everyone else has the same issue when their screens go black. Samsung is a great brand but choose a different model. This one gave me way to many issues with how long I had it. I only get a standby light (blue) and that is all. The monitor gets power but doesn't ever wake screen. I have tried multiple different cables and after 2 hrs of support from Samsung, they told me I needed to get it repaired. Got a G7 instead and it works miles better and seems to be way different with their UI. DON'T BUY THIS MODEL, choose a better one.
