Took minutes to hook it up using a HDMI cord that I also got on sale. Makes a world of difference in the ease of seeing things.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.picked this up for 80$ on black Friday the colors are a bit off and little wearid but u can fix it u spend a little time in the settings menue :-) i play pc games and xbox360/ps4 with a little work u can make it look nice :D upgraded from a 19inch moantor 720p to this 1080p only downside to this is no speakers or 3.5mm jack :( but u can always buy a Av To Optical converter to get sound out of your consoles :-) woudnt realy recomend this if your looking for a gameing monitor but if your on a tight budget and dont have a moantor get this if u see it under 100$ :-) save money and a little work u can have it looking nice :D

This was on sale at a good price and I've used Acer monitors before with good results so decided to take a gamble. This one has not disappointed me at all. The brightness is just right and a small amount of color adjustment was all that was needed to satisfy my needs. One thing I did find annoying was the EnergyStar notification that stayed on the screen every time I turned it on but that was something I could turn off in the menus so now it powers up and us usable much more quickly.

The viewing angles are also great and the brightness is good even for a super bright room. The colors are rich and vibrant (different color warmth and setting available). The only thing I don't like is the bezle which is about 1/4" thick but for the price you can't really beat this monitor.

The monitor doesn't come with the VGA cable. Now it's only 80 bucks before tax - good deal for a 24-in monitor with VGA and HDMI ports.

The brightness isn't the best, not the worst, my main complaint is that the gamma is WAY off on it, even after adjusting it as low as possible, the colors still aren't very vibrant and everything has kind of a white foggy filter on it.. However, at $80 for a 24 inch screen, it will do.
