I love this monitor, and it easily would be a 5-star product based on design and performance, but the first monitor I purchased was a dud. After about 3 days of using the first one, the screen starts flashing black once every hour or so. This eventually turned into the screen flashing black every few minutes with the occasional periods of it flashing on and off nonstop. I went through ACER support and used online forums and did everything I could to fix the issue without returning the product. From what I could tell, the issue stemmed from a faulty power supply, so I decided to see if I could check that out back at Best Buy. I went back to Best Buy and told the Geek Squad about the issue and they told me to just bring it back. They didn't want to try to diagnose the issue at all, it was just easier for them to give me another monitor. So I took it back and sure enough, the second one worked just fine. If you have a similar issue with this monitor, check the power supply first. Some people have even had this issue with faulty surge protectors, so check that as well. If you pick this up and and it works out of the box, it's great. I've had this second monitor for close to two weeks now with no issues. Honestly, it's probably my favorite monitor I've owned. I love all of the adjustments I can make with the stand. The picture is crisp, the refresh rate keeps up with anything I'm playing, and I've had no issues with ghosting. If you can get it on sale for around $200 like I did, I think it's an excellent value for your money in the current monitor market. (December 2019)

Been using the monitor for around a month now, it supports both freesync and g-sync and works on both right out of the box. The difference from 60 to 144 is amazing. I play games at 1080p and seeing them all run at 144hz is wonderful. Would love to get a second one to have a dual monitor set up.

Awesome 144hz monitor. Gameplay is silky smooth, and absolutely no dead pixels so far. Calibrating the color on display takes a little bit of research and messing around with the monitor's internal settings, but once it's dialed in it looks absolutely stunning.

This is a good quality monitor that’s 1080p 144hz the first time I ordered it, the screen was defective but that’s not Best Buy’s fault but after exchanging it for a new one everything looked and played great.

If your video card has a display port, use it! You can definitely tell the difference! I use this for photo editing as well as gaming. So after I adjusted colors with the Spyder, I ran through a few edits, then started up the Witcher3. Gorgeous! I may have to get another one!

I bought this monitor because I originally had a 60hz monitor and everyone told me 144hz would be a huge improvement on my game play. So far, I completely agree. The colors are great, streaming and playing games is so much smoother now that I could never go back to 60hz. My only problem is sometimes when I turn it off, it puts my computer to sleep, which isn't what I want, but I can't seem to find a setting to make that stop.

Not the greatest of colors in the world but the 144hz makes up for it

This is pretty amazing. Although I will admit I did not at all know what I was buying. It was purchased as a gift and once we actually had the right hardware it was amazing to see how much better high gaming monitors are!!

Ok so hear me out I had originally got my brother this monitor a couple months back because he wanted it for gaming. And I saw how it looked used it a couple of times and I had to get myself one for the price it is you can’t go wrong with it! Definitely would recommend!

Wow; what a difference for gaming. The monitor has great screen movement abilities. 4 extra USB ports are useful. 1 ms response times. This monitor features Free-sync if you have an AMD card. 144 HZ refresh rates really make this monitor shine. I use as middle panel in with my three monitor setup.

I was skeptical to buy this monitor at first because of the mixed reviews of people complaining about having dead pixels but so far I have not had any problem with mine and I am pretty happy with it so I would recommend it to anyone that is thinking about buying it.

This was an upgrade for from a 1080 monitor and as soon as I loaded some games I could easily see the difference. The only downside to this monitor is the speakers aren't the best but I use a headset for gaming anyways. Would recommend for both shooters and RPGs games.

Bought this product thinking it was a just an ordinary monitor but that is just not the case. This product is excellent, sturdy, has very great quality and is just the right size. It is smooth when gaming and very responsive when searching around the internet. it is well worth the price

This is a near perfect gaming monitor. As some have previously written, the sound from the monitor is lacking, but that is my only negative for the device. All other features are what I expected from this purchase which was at a great sale price too.

This monitor was a great purchase for my grandson. He uses it for doing homework and sometimes games. He manages to hook up his Chromebook Or his phone to get a better picture. He is vey happy with this monitor and would recommend it to others.

The price was right and I like the idea of being able to raise it up to a higher level.

really great monitor with awesome bells and whistles (the usb ports in the tv let you control the device) and the 144hz refresh rate is silky smooth. I did find a really good deal on a 1440p (2k) and havent been able to go back, but nonetheless this is a fantastic monitopr

Having my previous model which I was in love with Die I set upon the search to find a replacement.. bought a couple different ones and brought them back due to whites not being white blacks the same and colors not being vibrant .Finally took the shot on this monitor it was initially not impressed with factory settings but after adjustments it is a fantastic choice .. very detailed !

Initially out of the box, the screen is too bright -- retina burning bright -- so make sure to bring the brightness down. When it comes to picture quality, this monitor looks great once it's calibrated correctly. Viewing angles are also good (not IPS good, but good) and there are a lot of options when it comes to color balancing. Although, there is a lack of a 'Sharpness' setting in the OSD. Now, what is not listed on Best Buy's site is that this is a Zero Frame monitor and that it also has Picture-in-Picture! Also, this monitor doesn't only do 1920x1080, but it can also display 2560x1440 (QHD) and 3840x2160 using the Display Port connection! This wasn't the case with my previous 1080p monitor. Cons: - The Built-in speakers are really bad. - Monitor does not go into Standby mode when I put my Fire TV Stick or cable box in standby/sleep/"off" mode.
