I love this version of Alexa. I have bought this for a few of my aunts and they love it too. From the features like speaking to her in Spanish asking to put on a Spanish song and Alexa actually gets it right. To my son playing Amazon kids on it. Not to mention when my husband cooks he speaks to Alexa like if it was another person. We all love this technology because it helps us in our everyday life. Setting alarms, cooking stop time to reminders. And it shows all of our family photos on display!! What’s not to love!

I bought this one to upgrade an older unit and am very pleased. The sound quality is awesome in my kitchen the way it has spacial audio. Screen is very clear and very responsive. I love it for the calender, weather, music, and videos while in the kitchen. Highly recommended!

I’ve had the Echo Show 8 for about a month now, and honestly, it’s become one of those devices I didn’t know I needed until I had it. Pros: • The screen is a good size. Big enough to watch quick YouTube clips or see recipes while cooking, but not so big that it dominates the counter. • Sound is surprisingly decent. Not audiophile-level, but clear and loud enough for music, podcasts, or even quick calls. • I like the camera cover for privacy, and video calls with family work well (even if my parents take forever to answer). • Alexa integration is smooth. I mostly use it for timers, weather, calendar reminders, and controlling my smart lights. Works great for that. Cons: • The interface can be a little slow at times. Not horrible, but there’s a bit of lag when switching between things. • You can’t natively stream everything—Netflix and Prime Video are there, but if you’re hoping for YouTube or other apps to work easily, it’s a bit clunky. • Sometimes it pushes random suggestions or news updates I didn’t ask for. You can tweak this in the settings, but it takes a minute to figure out. Overall: This thing does a lot for the price. It’s not perfect, but if you’re already using Alexa or have other smart devices, the Echo Show 8 fits right in and adds some nice extra features. Bought this for my 85 Yr old mother in law who has everything! If I knew how much she uses it daily I would have purchased her one years ago. I load up all the great grandkids photos sent by my daughters weekly and she loves veiwing them, she loves music and learned all she has to do is ask Alexa to play her favorite so songs, I bought her a light bulb compatible with Alexa and she now commands the light to turn on and off. No longer has to walk to her lamp every day twice a day. She loves her Alexa Show. What I love the best on this product, I have this unit on my Alexa app so I can monitor her turning the light on and off. If I see the lights is on she went to be, if I see the light turned off, she is awake. It’s the perfect gift!

Easy to use. Works great use it for music and organization purposes as well as just everyday use to look things up quickly set alarms and timers and calls. My kids can use it as well and the visuals are great.

Great product easy to install and hook up to your other devices

Somewhat to me surprise, I am really enjoying this. I decided to add it after successfully setting up an Echo 3rd generation Hub and discovering it worked with some light bulbs I got. The hardest part for me was getting used to using Alexa - somehow I had never gotten around to using it. The speaker on this Show 8 3rd generation is actually not bad, and I have been listening to music more than I would have predicted. It also does well controlling a set of smart plugs and two light bulbs in the same room, as well as some plugs and lights in another room.

Great device, we use it for a lot of things, decent size screen and the speaker is good on it

It has been a few years since I last purchased and Echo Show. Between my last purchase and this one, a few changes regarding the hardware have occurred. I wish they would develop a way to connect external devices to the Echo Show, or to use it as an additional display unit. I like that it has remained the same shape and size as my last purchase. The sound quality appears to be better. At times the unit isn't as user friendly as I would like. However, this may be more of a software issue, than a hardware issue. Overall it is a good and reliable product.

I bought this unit for my brother who lives in NY. I live in Ireland, and I thought it would be good for video calls. I had the same unit myself. We are absolutely delighted with the Amazon Echo 8 unit. The picture and sound quality is so much better than we expected. Previously we video called using WhatsApp, and found it very frustrating. Using The Echo, calls can be made Hands Free, and the viewing area around is terrific. I purchased The Echo from Best Buy, online. The transaction was seamless, and the unit was delived Next day, to my brother in Long Island, and best of all, Free Shipping. I can honestly recommend this unit to anyone who likes making video call. Besides the video calls, the Echo displays all my uploaded photos from amazon Photos. It plays all my Spotify Playlists and allows me to listen to all my favorite Radio Stations around the world. The unit has many more features, too many to list here. Again I have no hesitation in recomming The Amazon Echo 8 3rd Generation. Brendan, Ireland.
