Out of the box. This thing is huge! and every game looks amazing on this monitor. But i think that really depends on how beefy your gaming PC is. Never had a G sync monitor. I was still seeing some tearing and i was getting some black shadow trails when playing games. But tweaking the setting fixed those issues. Another thing weird that happens is when I play a YouTube or Netflix video in full screen picture goes black for a split second. Will be looking into it but not a major deal breaker for me since i usually only watch videos with half the screen. I'm sure it wont be a big deal. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. I've only had this monitor for about a week. So far so good.

I looked at several monitors including the Predator and an ASUS. All three options were really good. The big advantage of the other two vs this one were that they had 120mhz vs this monitors 100mhz. But at the end of the day, I went with this due to best buy price matching (price matched with Micro Center for $799). This monitor has g-sync and the difference is pretty clear. The only thing with this monitor is the set up time. You will def go through trial and error. I would suggest going online to see what settings others are using that have used expensive calibrating software. It'll save you time. Also be sure to open nvidia control panel and turn g-sync on as its not on by default and the default mhz is 60. Change it to 100. While most new games are optimized for 3440x1440p, some old games are not. If you're a huge player of OW, do not get an ultrawide as they do not allow the game to be played in this format. You'll end up getting black bars on each side. Movies on this at first were pretty grainy. I had to play with settings a bit and do a restart before I had a good picture (and its really good). I mostly use this on a gaming PC with a 1080Ti and get 80+ fps on ultra for games like Destiny 2, Tekken 7, Total War Warhammer, and a few others. I just bought Witcher 3 but haven't installed so cannot report on that. Battlefield 1 was ok at first. Then I realized I had to install new drivers. After that and a quick restart, it looks incredible and you can totally see g-sync working with the great motion movements. Before this monitor I was on an LG 27ud68-p, a 27" 4k monitor with 60hz and freesync. That monitor was really good but I just really wanted an ultrawide. If you're coming from a 4k ips to this monitor, you'll notice a decrease in color quality. Things just popped on my old monitor. I wouldn't say colors are "washed out" on this monitor but the 4k in 3840x2160 on ips vs this is night and day. The FPS however is way better on this than 4k. Gaming on this is so much more fluid. The monitor is awesome. No screen tearing while playing games looks fantastic and the led lights are a nice addition if the colors match your build(they can be turned off if not)

This screen is worth the money if you are looking for something to play games on. It really pulls you into the game.

I really liked this panel, however I had two with a dead pixel so I ended up returning it. What a shame as it looked great!
