I purchased another brand adapter and couldn't get it to work with my pico projector. Returned it and purchased this one, and it worked great with no fuss. In my experience you pay a hefty price for Apple projects, but they JUST work. Time is money so dont waste time with other brands unless you know that they actually work

Per usual this is a high quality product from Apple and it works just fine. I’m pushing to a 240hz monitor and it will run it at 120. Not bad. Pros- Apple quality Includes power pass through Cons- For the new(er) MacBooks like my 2017 model, there are only 2 ports. Granted they’re Thunderbolt 3, this device limits 50% of your wired connectivity. Conclusion- Save your money and apply it towards a Thunderbolt 3 dock. They have more connectivity options and and are a better bang for your buck.

Does exactly what I needed it to do. We have a back seat DVD system that each individual system can have video sent via HDMI. Kids were able to plug this into their phone or iPad and watch it in front of them rather than looking down for the entire road trip!

This adapter makes doing presentations a breeze, it easily allows you to connect your iPad or iPhone to a TV using an HDMI cable. Also comes ion handy for streaming.

Adapter worked as it was supposed to. Hooked the lightning connector to the iPad and an HDMI cable to the HDMI slot and I went from an iPad screen to a projected screen where an entire conference room could see. Carry it with me all the time now. Rated value as "Good" instead of "Excellent" because all Apple accessories are overpriced.

Annoyingly expensive. But, it works perfectly unlike all those cheap versions you can buy elsewhere. I've bought at least 5 other types of "lightning to HDMI" and this is the only one that works properly all the time. I'll give it five stars, but subtract a few points on the "value" scale.

Bought to stream movies from phone to trucks entertainment system while traveling. Works great with HDMI and can charge at the same time

Used this, my iPhone 6S, and Google Hangouts to host a virtual baby shower with ten participants across the US, broadcasted to the HDTV so everyone at our house could see the Mom-to-be on the big screen rather than passing the phone around. Considering how much processing the phone had to do with the app, the adapter seemed to take less strain than broadcasting over the AppleTV.

Very easy to set up and use between my iPad and my TV. Would be helpful to know at the time of purchase that it would be preferable to have an HDMI cable on hand or with the purchase. I just unhooked the HDMI cable from the back of my DVR player and used it. Everything worked perfectly.

Bought this so i can be hardwired into my tv instead of using the mirror option to stream shows form different apps on from my phone. Mirroring doesnt allow for certain apps to be utilized because they want you to use the device such as apple tv with interner, but thats impossible if you do not have any access to internet or cable tv. this does the job but certain times y ou may have to restart the app or phone in order for the image to be on the tv properly

Works great on moms iPad 7. She can now view what is on her iPad onto her large TV and make it pretty much a smart TV watching YouTube and doing FaceTime just by connecting it to the TV's HDMI connector on the side. It's a bit pricey however she is happy with her purchase. Mom is 82 yrs young! :)

I purchased this to view Hoopla from my IPad to my Samsung TV ( which is not Smart TV but an older model about 7 years or older). I read the Samsung booklet an inserted into the HMDi DV1 and Hoopla works to view movies with picture and sound. I tried another manufacturer’s product but it didn’t work properly. I just got a black screen with only sound.

These work great to broadcast your iPhone or iPad onto a TV when airplay is not an option. I have bought the off-brand ones and had nothing but problems with many of them. These are significantly more expensive but you get what you pay for in this case, the Apple ones have always worked for me with no issues.

Great device. Great deal instead of getting the more expensive alternative.

This is very good product for quality. It connect to projector very quick. Very easy to use but it’s too expensive.

Easy to use, this was a plug and play item. Ipad recognized and started working immediately.

Adapter works great! Was able to connect my ipad to my tv with ease.

I first saw this when a friend showed me her pictures from her IPad using this adapter. I thought it was pretty neat how your IPad displayed on TV & it was so clear on a big screen. I haven't used it very much, but I was able to show our family some pictures we took while on a trip instead of trying to gather around an IPad screen. It is very easy to use. I do think it is rather expensive.
