Overall the adapter works great. It is easy to use: simply plug it in to your apple device (i used an ipad air), plug a HDMI cable into the adapter, and the other end to tv, etc and you have a great high quality picture (if the video is also high quality). Only issue is that a lot of the streaming apps block the use of video output devices which is why I give it 4 out of 5, so check before spending $50 on an item that may never be used because of this. If you don't already have one, be sure to buy a HDMI cable.

This adapter is one of the best for connecting it to a non smart TV without having something like DirecTV, COX, or Spectrum. If you have an iPad with all of you apps like HBO, Netflix, etc. You hook this up to your TV or PC and there you have a bigger viewing platform, good for traveling.

This adapter worked perfectly to connect my iPhone with my television. I am so happy that I can display my Peloton exercise classes on my television. I love it!

Very nice! It works as intended (unlike the third party counterparts that I had previously bought), and it is quite nice in build. It's a nice piece of tech that I'll use for a long time and I'm glad to now have in my arsenal. I'd recommend this product (Specifically from Best Buy as well) because I trust it and Best Buy has always had the tech I need and they've always came through with my needs!

My father-in-law bought a generic lightning to HDMI adapter a few years ago which our daughter has used for her LCD projector. It was glitchy sometimes and just stopped working. Genuine Apple products work better. Only drawback is anticipating the cord to split down the road, but right now it’s got the movies back on the wall.

Was getting ready to FaceTime with my dad when I realized the whole family can’t see the little screen. Got this and my iPhone screen was repeated on the 52” tv. You also need a long HDMI cable from A/V adapter to tv. Works great for video.

Connect-ability between Apple products and ancillary equipment has to be planned so these type of adapters are necessary. Since I don't use PCs (unless I have to) I've gotten use to having a bag of adapters available to use. Good quality but Apple is very proud of their products....you can tell by the price.

It works as advertised, however if connecting to a device with no built in speakers such as monitor or old projector your are out of luck, you won’t get any sound. A bit high on the price but seems durable.

I connect this to my TV from my iPad. So much better the watch movies or sports on my TV big screen. I bought this on Deal of the Day, so it was a good price. Thanks Best Buy. Works perfect

Quite expensive for what it does. But it’s a good investment because it guarantees to work with IOS devices. Bought some from amazon and usually after new IOS update, they stop working. It’s quite expensive but worth.

I use this for running presentations (with video) from my iPad Pro. It works like a breeze. AppleTV is a good wireless setup, too, but I always like to have this on me just in case. It makes plug and play a breeze, especially if you’re using someone else’s display equipment.

Awesome product from Apple. Plug and play. Works immediately with iphone and ipad. Stream movies, or look at content like pictures on your full sixe tv. Amazing. Anyone can figure it out. Just plug it in and go. Full device controll while in use. Just have to buy an HDMI cable to connect to most modern tv's. it would get a 5 gold star except it can become a little fickle after some use. Still works but sometimes you have to jiggle the cords to get it going.

I was able to connect my iPhone to the built in screens of my Dodge Durango so my kids could watch YouTube on road trips. Was a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay but it is a apple product. I’m able to charge my phone and play videos for them at the same time.

This is a nice addition when traveling to take your streaming media services with you.

Purchased this adapter so my boys could watch Netflix at my mom's house. She does not have internet, so my boys get bored sometimes. Just connected adapter to TV with HDMI cable and to iPhone. Worked perfect. No need for grandma to purchase internet because she has an iPhone also!

I needed this so I could watch movies playing on my iPad on my Samsung tv. It works great. It does exactly what it's meant to do. The fact that you can charge your device at the same time is perfect. The only thing that bugged me was the price but if you don't have Apple TV it's the way to go.

I have no idea why all the bad reviews are here, I got the adapter today and after trying out a second HDMI cable it worked perfectly. I just had to restart the Netflix app and I saw the picture. The first cable was working too, the quality was just not so good because of the poor quality of the cable itself. Picture and Audio (tested up to 1080p) is working smoothly and perfect. I've also tested the charging feature and it worked too

It works great with my new ipad. Just plug it in, open photos app and everything is available for review to transfer over.

If you plan to use it for stream Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, etc…. It will work don’t go and buy the cheap ones they doesn’t work. It’s a little too high on price in my opinion just for a tv adapter.
