Cable adapter does the job as expected. Allows ipad to connect to TV or AVR with HDMI cable and allows for charging at the same time. Works fine. My only complaint is the cables will disengage if pressure is exerted on them, especially if you're using a stiffer HDMI cable. My solution was to tape them together with duct tape to prevent the cables and connector from separating. Using AirPlay Mirroring with Apple TV might work for some folks in lieu of using this cable.

I was stuck between purchasing this item or Apple TV but I just wanted to stream my phone to the tv. So I asked the employee which one would be best for my needs. He recommended I take this cause it's a hardware so you won't get any interference. So I am happy with my perchase

Plug and play, pretty simple. Bought it for movie watching while on the road Netflix/Amazon Instant/Plex all worked good. One note if planning on using this for business projections (i.e. Hooked up to a projector, test it with the app....some apps get a bit funny with regards to orientation)

Must have accessory for iPad owners who want to be able to stream their iPads onto their tv. Works seamlessly with Netflix, Hulu, etc. We don’t have cable but we have internet on our iPad and this works great

I told my husband there has to be a way for me to connect my phone to the HDMI port in our van. He went in Best Buy in search of such a gadget and found this. It's absolutely amazing. It allows me to have my kids watch movies from phone or ipad that are saved there. Works great!

this product has been great to enable me to plug my iPad into an HDMI cable to plug into a TV and also charge it at the same time. Very helpful for my home office

We wanted kids to be able to access itunes movies on the TV without buying an apple TV. This hooks up to our HDMI cable and an ipod, ipad, or phone perfectly. It also has a place to hook up charger so the devices don't go dead from all the streaming.

I had No idea on what I was doing but it was so EASY and the BEST part of this item is that you can charge your phone at the same time while you watching movies or steaming music. Had NO idea you could to that! SO GLAD I PURCHASED THIS ADSPTER!

This little dongle is fairly expensive to what you are getting, but for me it is very practical. My parents have a small cabin in rural New Mexico and no Internet service. With this, I am able to stream Netflix via my iPhone right into their TV set. Very cool for watching movies!

I had to buy this to work on my iPhone 6 since my work computer failed to connect to VPN. So, with a wireless keyboard, and this adapter, I was able to use my iPhone 6 as a "psuedo" computer and was able to be productive on editing Office Files. The product is pricey. It did it's job to meet my expectations. It would add more value if it is used more often.

I do not have wifi around my house so using an Apple TV to AirPlay was not an option for me. This is the second best option. Works just like using AirPlay but your phone is connected to the TV which could be a downside if you are expecting a call or text. Easy install, just need an hdmi cable.

This adapter came in hand while staying in a hotel for watching movies downloaded to my iPad via the tv sets HDMI insted of shelling out money for the hotels paid Tv system for viewing. It worked perfectly and looked great especially since I had downloaded the Hi-Def versions of the movies.

It is really just a dongle to access video from your iPhone or iPad to a television but very useful. I have a vacation house with internet or cable television. By using the A/V adapter I can add watch streaming video.

Great tool for watching on the go. If you do any traveling, this is great to have. Link your iphone up to the tv and watch content from all of your apps wherever you go! Works with any HDMI capable device.

Dear all, this Apple - Lightning Digital A/V Adapter is so great. I am using apple ipad mini. Before I bought it that I didn't know it's screen so small, and I am afraid that my children's eyes will...But after I bought the Apple - Lightning Digital A/V Adapter, it's great.It's easy to set up, the pictures look clearly,and we can watch ipad's programs from big scree. We like it! But if the price can down a little bit,we will buy more Apple's products. Thanks Best buy.

This adapter works well with Apple devices with the lightning charger. You will also need an HDMI cord which isn’t included to connect to a TV with an Open HDMI port. Picked up while on vaction so we could watch a movie on a rainy day. It worked fine without issues on the hotel tv that had an extra HDMI slot. It is a little pricey but it is a genuine Apple Product and a you can pick up same day at Best Buy.

This product and an hdmi cable is all it takes to watch your favorite videos, Netflix, Hulu etc right in your TV. I have tried 2 off brands and they do not show all videos. Spend the extra money and get the Apple Brand adapter. Works flawlessly.
