This cable works great. Some comparisons with AirPlay: What this cable does better: I felt like there was less lag. Also, I was able to trick it into playing content that AirPlay won't allow (though the quality suffered greatly--honestly not a great solution, just something fun to play around with) What this cable does worse: Convenience. If you want to do short videos, find a way to make AirPlay work for you. Getting up every 2 minutes to select a new video gets tedious (the alternative, of course, is having a monstrous HDMI cable going through you living room). If your TV doesn't support AirPlay, tons of devices have an app for a work around. Great solution for long videos from phone.

It seems to work fine; I need to do more testing. As of the time go writing this, I used it as a backup way to cast movies on an iPad to a hotel room TV. Hooked a new HDMI cable to the TV. I had some performance issues occasionally, but other times it worked fine. I’m not sure if it was the ipad or the TV that was at fault, since it’s a crappy old hotel TV. I’m inclined to think it was the latter, but without having extensively tested this adapter I can’t be sure. Still, when it was working, it worked fine—I even had no issues with the dreaded black bars on either side because of the iPad’s aspect ratio being different from 16x9.

Pricy, but made hooking my iPhone to my TV easy. Use this & an HDMI cable & watch Netflix without purchasing internet for your location.

I was able to use my iPhone to stream a movie on a projector and keep it charged at the same time! Nothing worse than your phone dying before the movie(s) end and you find out who the murderer is!

Great product like other Apple products. Price match provided the lowest price on the market. Works great and streams to tv that is older with limited apps on the tv.

I use this adapter in my classroom when showing videos we just made and for projects use and interactive fun. When i'm travelling I can easily hook up my travel hdmi cord to the hotel tv and watch my movies and netflix/hulu like i'm at home. Great buy, small, easy to use!

I’ve been struggling to figure out how to project Netflix from my iPhone to my portable projector. Now I have a portable setup thanks to this adaptor which allows me to watch Netflix anywhere I want up to 100 inches.

This connector, being an apple product, works well and seamlessly to connect both my iphone an ipad to the television using an HDMI cable. It also allows for charging during this process, which is a great necessity for high volume use.

We use this for our phone and iPads. We take it everywhere! Whether it is to share photos with the whole family or to watch shows on apps since not everywhere we go we are lucky to have a smart TV. It comes in handy. We love it!

Plug your iPhone into anything with an HDMI input. Pretty genius little adaptor. Using this a lot with both iPhone and iPad for outdoor projector and PC laptop and desktop.

I am new to this iPad thing and skeptical about how simple things could work. This item was a snap to use. Just plugged it into the Lighting port and connected an HDMI cable to the other end, and I was connected to the TV! Great to watch Netflix on a big screen instead of the iPad!

I purchased the Apple HDMI adapter to be used with an iPhone 12 Pro and the Viture XR Pro glasses. A Virure HDMI adapter is needed as well, which I had already purchased. I can now watch movies, work and occasionally play a game on my phone and nobody can see what I’m doing becomes the glasses emulate a 135” widescreen TV in space because they are basically a portable monitor when plugged into an iPhone. For productivity, the adapters allow me to have multiple screens using the Viture SpaceWalker application.

This was an excellent device used with my HDMI cable. They were both used to watch movies from my pad on the TV in a hotel when nothing else was on. I had no way to cast onto the TV in a hotel so this device came in handy. Again, great product.

This is a great cable for my tool bag - lightning USB to HDMI. I’ve used it to share either my iPhone, iPad or my wife’s iPad mini to any screen with an HDMI cable: I have used it for wall projectors, 55” TVs, and computer monitors depending on how big of an audience I need to share my screen with. The only downside is the price- there just does not need to be such a high price on this cable.

I was looking for a simple way to connect my iPad to my TV. The Apple Lightning Digital A/V Adapter suited perfectly. Additionally, on the bottom, there is a slot for continuous charging of the iPad. Nothing else to add besides it works and works well.

Works as intended mirroring the content of your iPhones screen, with the added bonus of utilizing discrete video playback when using select supported apps. Also there’s a lightning port for charging. Sadly it’s short length means your at the mercy of what ever HDMI cable you use… which by no fault of the adapter, makes holding your phone while using a typical HDMI cable very cumbersome. So while you can pair a Bluetooth controller & turn your iPhone into a console that rivals the Nintendo Switch… sorta, don’t expect to play games on the big screen while using your iPhone as the actual controller… unless you looking to up the difficulty.
