    I wanted to be able to watch whatever I was streaming in my phone on my TV in an RV. There was no WIFI availability when camping but, My phone had a strong signal. I was able to connect with my phone and plugged it in to the TV with an HDMI cable and didn’t miss one shot of the Masters being streamed on my phone. The lightning adapter could also be connected to charge my phone so it didn’t drain the battery. I’m not a technical genius but it did everything I wanted.

    I have had this particular adapter since August, and this one has started to wear out. Probably from a four year old trying to grab the phone and change the video playing, but still. Keep this flat and try not to flex the cable overly much, and it should be fine. Seems to be less durable than most Apple accessories I have dealt with. Price seems a bit steep for what you get. Also, make sure you use a Apple charge cord with this, as in my experience third party charge cables dont work the same.

    This works great if you want to hookup your iPhone or iPad to an HDMI port on your TV. Everything on your iPhone shows up on the TV.
