Love it's size and weight! Great apple product! Only thing is make sure to buy an adapter because only 1 usb-c port I purchased a protective case that's why mine is purple

Hey Guys, This macbook is inevitably a great replacement for your iPad or any tablet. I already own a macbook pro 13 inch fully loaded and that is my primary computer for hardcore computing needs like video edits, photos and any other intensive tasks. This macbook however is unbeatable in how well it performs for having a processor that only draws 5 watts of power and is also fanless. Do go ahead and buy the base model of this machine as thats the value for money. Do not bother buying the 512 gb sad model as that is an overkill and then the product really becomes overpriced. Also, buy this as a secondary on the go machine if you already have a primary laptop and this is an awesome tablet replacement. I also got rid of my iPads as i love using this instead as this is a full computer experience than half baked touch/computer experience like the iPad.

Stays cool with no fan noise. Incredible display, adult finger sized keyboard, very light. I asked questions about all the models at the Apple store. This was the obvios choice for the price. Power+ users should probably look at the Macbook Pro, mostly because of the additional ports. The USB-C adapter is pretty essential for this computer but that's ok for me.

This is the best MacBook I've ever had. It extremely light and has the best keyboard and display I´ve ever used. This MacBook is best for everyday work (mail, web, spreadsheet, word docs). Is excellent for professionals that need a computer on-the-go with all your materials. I am very pleased with the performance and usability that this new MacBook has.

When it was time to get a new laptop I decided on this MacBook because of the reviews and how it would function for the purposes I need it for. I've now been using this laptop for 6 weeks, and all I can say is that is my experience is that the majority of the reviews on the online tech mags (Macworld, Cnet, etc...) really miss the mark on this machine. They list it as a "in-between" fit between a Macbook Pro13" and Macbook Air 13", and will tell you to buy the Air because it is cheaper. I was concerned I was just "paying more for a Air 13" as the reviews put it on those sights, but after using it every day for the last 6 weeks, I cannot be more impressed with the speed, performance, and quality of it. In my work life, I am technical support in industrial sales, and travel in my area supporting customers, however I am required to log calls, look up product, etc... and have to interface with my machine 15-20 times a day. My work has given me a Windows Laptop to use for work, but with this machine I am probably saving an hour a day vs my work laptop. With this machine and it's solid state hard drive and fast OS, I can open it up, start it, link to a hotspot on my cell phone, log my call and shut down faster than the other machine will get me to a login screen. The machine boots in under 30 seconds. If I am in a part of my day where I am logging multiple calls in a short amount of time, I can just shut the screen down and stay powered up and keep moving. I can open the screen and login in seconds. Also the battery life gives me a good solid 9-10 hours of use even if I keep it powered up between calls. On top of that, zero noise, zero heat, zero lag, high quality construction, its a great machine. Other things to note that the online reviews will tell you are concerns are the keyboard and the USB-C port (the fact that the machine only has one port). On the keyboard - the Apple purists are up in arms that this machine has a different keyboard from the other MacBooks. Its not bad, its just different. As a previous Macbook Pro user, I can tell you that this keyboard is a huge leap FORWARD! It's pure precision. The keys don't float, very short stroke, and have a tighter spacing between keys. As someone who types for 4 hours a day, I can tell you it is superior to any keyboard I have ever used, all be it a laptop, desktop, OEM keyboard or aftermarket. Its superb. The USB-C port. I have yet to invest in any USB-C specific hardware, but upon purchase I bought the Apple USB-C to USB adapter (my only complaint is the machine should COME with this piece of hardware), however after living with a machine where you charge thru the single port that it is a non-issue. Now if you are one who wants to buy a laptop and use it like a desktop (like a docking station scenario - hooking up a different monitor, different mouse and keyboard, external hard drives, etc....) than I would steer you towards a Macbook Pro or even an iMac. If you want something that is VERY portable and VERY powerful, this machine is for you. On the rest of the details that I can note on - the sound for machine is excellent (its not Bose Surround, but is very precise and accurate - no problem listening to music or watching movies). On the trackpad, I really don't see much value in the pressure sensitive feature, but it functions very well and is very precise vs anything else I have used (even the magic mouse on my iMac) If you are someone on the move who needs something that is not only fast at processing, but fast to start-up and shut down, with excellent graphic capabilities this is a good choice to consider

The new MacBook is a true ultra portable computer that will satisfy the needs of many, though not all. Is the processor a little slower than others? Yes. Does everyone need the latest quad-core? No. This little machine is *perfect* for everything from light duty email/web surfing to even image editing. This machine was *not* designed to be for the power user as current technology just isn't there yet, but for those who don't need that power *or* those that want a quick pick-up-and-carry computer that has a retina display, full sized keyboard, total weigh of 2 lbs and enjoys the simplicity and power of Mac OS X then please give this machine a shot. My main machine is a MacBook Pro 15 Retina that I keep at home connected to dual displays and should I need that "super power" on the go I'll take it. What I've found though is that I really don't need that power when out and about and really just like doing my general computing of something other than a tablet. I used to carry an iPad with Logitech Keyboard but that combination weighs just the same as the new MacBook but now I have a larger screen and access to applications that tend to work a little better in a standard desktop OS environment. The new force touch trackpad works marvelously though the keyboard takes just a little getting used to since the key throw is pretty shallow. The keys also tend to make a little louder and interesting sound than your typical Apple aluminum keyboard as well. Visit your local Best Buy and try it out, I think you'll like it!

I really like this little computer. The form factor, build, and weight make it great for carrying around. It's beautiful and I wanted one the minute I saw it. It is fast and able to handle everything I need to do. I am not a heavy gamer so have no idea how it would do with those types of demands. I found the size of the keyboard to be comfortable. The keys don't have a lot of give when you type and that was odd at first, but I adjusted quickly. I recommend trying the keyboard before buying. It is backlit which I like since I often work on the computer in the dark and I do like being able to see the keyboard. lI was very pleasantly surprised by how cool it runs. So far I love it. It has only one port but I bought an adapter and have not found that at all problematic. Battery life seems good and charging is fast. I bought mine as an open box and when I got it home found that it had a problem with the space bar. I returned it and was very pleased with how Best Buy handled the problem.

Convenient computer. There are students' promoting from time to time, I love it.

The new MacBook meets and exceeds my expectations. I purchased it for travel due to the size, but have started using it all the time....to the point that I sold my MacBook Pro 13.3". The new MacBook is super slim and light-weight yet packs the power of it's larger MBP cousins. The retina display is crystal clear and every picture and video looks incredible. Battery life is great, machine runs very quietly and never heats up. The single USB-C port is a bit of a challenge, but Apple sells a multi-port USB-C cable which solves any port needs. All-in-All this is my favorite MacBook, small, elegant and powerful...what more do you need!

What a gorgeous machine. They really took the awesome design of the 11" Macbook air and made it better. Looks aside, it does everything i need it for with ease (web surfing, excel, word, etc....). The screen size if perfect. They keyboard take time to get used to, but is also amazing, and I love how the backlight only goes through the letters and not leak around each key like previous keyboards. People seems to be fixated on the lack of ports, but after two weeks, i havent had any issue. I bought a usb adapter for the USB-C and the only limitation is that i cant charge my iphone at same time as my laptop, but the battery life so far is excellent with the Macbbok (around 8 hours of constant use)

Although it's 12 inches, it's pretty larger than what you think. The quality is great, and I love the new keyboard apple put on this computer, so much easier to type on! This computer is great for just carrying around, its extremely light and thin, so I would advice you to get a case for this immediately! Other than that the processing is fast, and the screen quality is amazing. I would recommend this for a student, or someone who just wants a light laptop to carry around. This is not a computer for someone who does extra processing, and heavy functions.
