Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil is a must-have for the iPad pros. It improves usability of the iPads in myriad ways. It, also, makes for a fun product to relax. It may seem silly, but some of the adult coloring books in the App Store make for a relaxing train ride, or brief break from tedious work, and the Apple Pencil is a needed item to fully utilize one of those apps. I give the Apple Pencil 4 stars, and not 5, because it doesn’t have an “eraser” like the Microsoft pen/pencil has, or various tip options, like the Microsoft counterpart has. The eraser feature is wonderful, and it seems bizarre that Apple would leave a key feature off such as that.

Great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little Apple Pencil, of course! I wish it came with a case or some kind of protection for the tip when it's not in use. The older versions of the iPad don't have any way to hold the pen so the pen ends up laying around until I can figure out how to velcro it to the side of the iPad or something. It's a little pricey but works better than the less expensive one we bought last year.

Assistant to tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the pencil, but for the price tag, i wish it came with a sleeve or grip. That would be a major upgrade for artists and people that use it for extended periods of time.

Great for kids
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pencil is really great for my 8 yr old. She loves to draw and even play games with it. Easy to sync. The only con with it is that it needs to be plugged into the bottom port to charge so I recommend keeping it on a counter where it won’t fall or get damaged. They fix that issue with the new generation but the new pencil only works with iPad Pro and ours is a regular one.

Apple Pencil experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An absolutely amazing tool for anyone that is an artist or that loves drawing. The difference it shows between that and a stylus is more than I imagined, though a lot of money in the long run, I feel as though it is definitely worth it!

This is a great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung did a great job with their S-pen but left their patrons out to dry by only supporting the once-a-year note phone refreshes while ignoring higher quality tablet stylus options. Enter the Apple Pencil with additional features to take over the market. The S-pen doesn't need a charge which is still a game-changer but the Apple Pencil has great levels of touch sensitivity and shading. Like any Apple product you'll need to accessorize it. I find that Pentel mechanical pencils have a clip that will fit + I've dissected about 2-3 pens to get grips that can be placed on my Pencil. I would not advise anyone to charge their Pencil by sticking it into their tablet. Buy the TechMatte Apple Pencil Charging Adapter for a dedicated cable and the PencilCozy for Apple Pencil to protect the cap. I also purchased a hard shelled case to hold my Apple Pencil and charging cable--the same thing that any artist or person with an expensive pen would do to protect their purchase. The Pencil is magnetized and will stick to the device but that doesn't protect the Pencil. I've been using procreate a few other art programs and I must say painting is great and sketching is with less distractions since mistakes can be erased and there is no off-set when resuming a line. An eraser feature would be helpful as well as a feature such as not needing to charge the Pencil but lack of those features is not a deal-breaker, especially for those who realize real art supplies have similar drawbacks (limited use before replacing and separate erasers, which aren't even possible for real life painting). Be young and gather ye rosebuds while ye may! Rest assured the next edition of the Pencil will be better, but do not wait a year to buy this wonderful product to use with your iPad Pro.

Nice if you like pens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice feel on the ipad. One thing concerned me before I got it was how quickly it would run down while not being used since there is no "off" switch. I charged it up and didn't use it for several weeks. When I picked it up again it was at 67%. Seems to turn off when Bluetooth is off, so it doesn't drain. If it does, it charges up in about 30 seconds to where you can get 1/2 hour or so. Godd enough for me.

Good but needs to do more.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this as a Christmas gift from my husband because I use an iPad to teach and correct. It does interface with my grading app so it functions as a better than average stylus. However, I cannot use it to notate on my iBooks or Pages and similar apps. I had to download notability for classroom presentations and pay for PDF Reader Pro to be able to edit/comment on documents. It is pretty expensive for a fancy stylus. I watched some online videos but don't think it is worth the price for my use.
