All I knew what I wanted an Apple TV. I bought an older one for my mom's birthday prior to that and figured I would get a new one when it came out. I had no idea how much better it would be than the previous generation. It's like an iPhone, for your tv! If we didn't have dish, I could live off of just that I'm sure. I love the trackpad, and AirPlay for showcasing pictures and videos, because I am a film maker. And also, the Bluetooth is awesome, it's very reliable. I connected my sound bar to it no problem, and it's a Samsung! Long story short, if your looking for a great gadget to improve your tv, don't waste your time on that fire tv or rocky stuff. Go for the big guns! You won't regret it! God bless you guys!

I already owned the first gen Apple TV. Decided to add the 32 GB to my apple collection do to the ability to have the Apple Store. Now I can also download my own apps. This is an excellent side adapter for tvs. If you have a cable company. You can log into HBO, showtime, stream your movies and tones of other sites. Just by using your cable service. If you are looking for a quick fix this is the way to go. Soon able will be airing regular stations as well or at least that's the latest internet rumor

This is my first Apple TV and I love it!!! It was very simple to set up and I really like that it pairs with your tv so u can just use one remote... The only downfall I can fine is that there is no native web browser... And normally that's not a big deal bc I own a couple of smart Tvs that have a native web browser. The tv that I currently have this on is not a smart tv so you can understand my frustration. Overall I really enjoy everything about this new model... Smooth touch pad Rechargeable remote Simplicity up install And amazingly easy operating system Give this system a solid two thumbs up!

We recently dumped cable. In addition to getting a digital antenna we upgraded to the new Apple TV for all the Apps, for our content on Apple - music, movies and TV shows and for Netflix and Hulu. Our cost for a better internet connection and for 60 local channels and all the content we could ever want went from $275 per month to less than $80. Apple TV took about 10 minutes to set up. Great product!

This is very good media streamer and also good for playing games. I liked it. Quality and proformance is awesome.

A decent working device. Not meant to be to far from your wireless router as audio signal will tune out as video, which will leave you wondering if you accidentally powered off or mute your audio. Other than that, streaming is good. Remote left a little to be desired. You can voice command "movies" or "youtube", but while youtube search bar is open, you cannot voice command things like music video titles etc. Sliding side to side on the touch pad is a neat experience, but isn't necessarily an upgrade from the previous model. Especially when dealing with longer title inputs, typo's are to be expected. As with their phones! The convenience comes in the for of being able to spend more on movie rentals. Mostly titles you can source right on the Internet for free, which clearly isn't accessible from the apple TV browser, as it does not have one. I'd suggest the purchase of a bluetooth keyboard or the download of an app that allows you to stream to the devices "airplay" feature, if you do not already have an iPhone.

This unit does everything I need and way more... if you have an iPhone or iPad it even makes life so much more easy and provides a ton of awesome user experience. Even if you don't have other Apple products, this unit has such a great interface that you'll wonder how you lived without all this time. You can load apps like Plex (media streamer) and there are a bunch already buiolt in. And if you enjoy Siri... she comes with it too !

Needs Amazon Prime access I love having the Siri voice option to search -this is a huge feature that is so convenient and a great timesaver. The main reason I bought it was for Amazon prime and Netflix however there is no Amazon option. Looking for a workaround if anyone knows of one.

The product is easy to be installed and immediately start to offer a great quality and quantity of options for shows, films and series. I loved everything. I recommend!

I love my apple tv! The only reason that I use the basic cable is to watch network news. All of my favorite shows can be accessed through the apple device. While it is easy to move from one tv to another, I am going to purchase another apple device because everyone else wants to use the apple tv.

The new iteration of the Apple TV is amazing!! The touch remote and addition of Siri right there is extremely helpful. No more fiddling around trying to navigate to type, all you do now is speak and type or speak and search. The new Apple TV os is super slick and will have you dumping your cable box. Love it glad I upgraded from the old one much needed very excited

I previously owned a Roku and worked well for about a year and found it to be more costly than it was worth to get it fixed... Most of my other devices are Apple so decided to do some research and go with the Apple TV 32gb... And it took my streaming experience to another level. Love everything about it, just hope to be able to stream Amazon prime to my Apple TV. (Not currently associated from my knowledge)

Apple TV came with minimal instructions, way too minimal than this senior citizen need to make it work. I call Apple for help and an hour or so later it was set-up. I wanted to be able to view photographs from my iPad on my tv. This was much easier to do. I had created a photo album for my recently deceased sister's memorial gathering. I ran the album on a loop on Apple TV for quite a while with no problem. Then something went wrong. Apple TV started mixing in photos from my iPad that were not in the memorial album. I was not able to stop the new version. Eventually I unplugged Apple TV and it stopped. Everyone seemed to enjoy both versions of the slide show. I sure wish I knew what happened.

Easy to use. Makes apps easily accessible. I can now watch youtube easily mirrored from my iphone! Love it!

It was implied that you could ask Siri anything and she could find it for you (Hey Siri, find me Inspector Morse on Netflix). Sadly, it seems, Siri can direct you to things on iTunes but little else. If you're going to force a CG "assistant" on me, make it do what the Hades an assistant is supposed to, not be a "product placement device". Over all, I like the Apple tv. Mirroring and numerous apps are great. I also like the aerial screen savers which you can set up to run while you still listen to Pandora (or other music app). In short, AppleTV is good, Siri could use some work.

Apple TV is amazing and easy setup and download programs as well as you can listen to music from your iTunes acct.!!

Great options and integration with Apple devices for air play and casting

We love it! From playing with apps, watching movie etc. we love the new remote and the talking option.

Apple has decided to completely update its "hobby" device. And what an update. I've owned the three generations of Apple TV devices, remembering the good old days when the device had actual hard drive in it, so you could store movies and music. Here's what I like about it: 1. New remote is cool. It takes a bit of a learning curve, but once I got used to it (and fixed the settings for it to medium speed), it worked great. I had read comments that it was hard to input passwords, but I sped through them with the touch pad. Cool. 2. App store is great. I picked up all my favorites, with the bonus that the apps also showed up on my iDevices. Kind of surprising that the App Store for TVOS links to iOS. 3. UI is cool. Very modern. 4. Content has all the usual suspects, except for Amazon Prime and Sling. Which leads me to... 5. AirPlay seems to have gotten a power upgrade. I was streaming Amazon Prime from my iPad, and it was like I was using a native TVOS app. Remote controls AirPlay (except for choosing content). 6. There seems like there are a lot of games in the App store, but I'm not much of gamer, so I wait to see some ratings before I pick up something that might waste a few hours. 7. Siri is kind of cool. But I'm still learning how to use it better. Issues: 1. No 4K. Now, there's a lot of whining about this, but most of us don't have 4K TVs (though I have a 27" connected to my MacBookPro for the retina effect). And there's not a lot of content. I have an impression that Apple might do a firmware upgrade to give us 4K, but they never say anything. 2. No optical sound out. Not sure why they got rid of this, but it may be because of how most people connect everything. I used optical out to plug into my sound system, though HDMI works just as well. 3. Amazon is being a bit of jerk about their content by not having an Amazon Prime app on the Apple TV. But this is a problem which I overcame easily with AirPlay (which I think is only an Apple device thing). 4. No Sling. But I bet that'll change very soon. Apple TV is getting us close to cord-cutting. Very close.
