Works with the 3. Docsis standard, so connecting to Comcast HighSpeed internet service was no issue. Got it activated with their call center within 5 minutes. Worth every buck. Now I need a faster Wifi router...

Our use of wireless technology in our home has exploded. (3 computers, 2 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 smart tv, 5 cell phones that jump onto the household wifi) We couldn't figure out why things were slow and loosing connections. Someone suggested that we update our router and modem to accommodate all of the technology we were using. It was just what we needed. All problems were solved instantaneously! The technician/salesperson was awesome!

This was our first 3.0 modem. I had to take the first one back and even the 2nd one is no faster than the 5 year old one I had before. I give this 4 stars because I don't know how much my ISP is effecting performance.

This device works with charter internet which is why I bought it. Seems ok so far.

I bought this to replace a leased modem and this SURFboard modem is working like a charm and was easy to set up. My only issue was dealing with Time Warner and their techs.

This product was not the simple setup as it was advertised to us by a team member- the instructions were not easy to follow and we were required to spend considerable time troubleshooting (For reference, I am a 25 year old college graduate, very computer literate. This was not user error) We did not have it set up and working for two days after purchase which was frustrating. Now that it is set up, it does work well. I do not have to reset it ever (as I did my old one) and the connectivity is strong.

Not bad for a investment and no additional charges from Tour cable company. Easy install and highly recommended your provider is setup to operate with this modem.

The set-up was very quick and efficient. I called Xfinity, read them the required numbers, and was set up in under 10 minutes. It was reading 60Mbit transfers on my 50Mbit minimum service level. All internet services are fast, including Netflix. The indicator lights are very bright, so I keep them turned toward a wall. Now, I am saving the modem rental fee, and can even upgrade my service to a faster speed if needed.

While I think it's scammy of the ISP to designate specific modems to use, this has met my expectations. It works fine, fast service. It's been about a month and a half with no problems. So... so far, so good!

I use the the SURFboard cable modem. My speed is great even using up to three computers at the same time. Very easy to install.

I decided to continue using the issued modem from Comcast, and returned this product. However, I think it would have been satisfactory for my needs and will purchase it in the future should the need arise.

I was getting tired of paying rent for a surfboard from the local cable provider. After years of service and rent I found out that the surfboard they provided didn't hold the speeds they professed to be giving me. I plugged this bad boy in and it has worked great ever since. Getting and paying for 50mb speeds. This board really delivers.

This is the perfect cable modem for someone who wants to upgrade to Docsis 3.0 and already have a wireless router without having to lease one from their cable provider
