Faster than the modem from Mediacom

It is much faster speed than the one that I was renting and I have 200 Mbps service. I use this with an Apple Airport and it works great! I also like that it has an energy saving feature for when there is little activity.

Fastest DOCSIS 3.0 Modem Available Now

I installed it in Truckee CA and the cable speed went from 192MBps to 498MBps. It handles up to 32 simultaneous channels down and 8 up. I tested the speed using a Pakedge RK-1 gigabit router and an Ethernet wired connection to a MacBook Pro.

Top of the line Cable Modem

Just plugged in and opened my browser and it walked me right through the steps to setup. Had to contact Comcast afterwards just to have them provision as is always the case when replacing or installing a new Cable modem. The connection have been uninterrupted with noticeable speed increases from my previously purchased from Bestbuy Motorola Arris SB6121 which was excellent as well for the life of the router.

Decent modem for the money

It does look better than most in its class since it is white in color and smaller if it is going to be displayed or left out in the open somewhat. ARES has some known issues with its older models (not this one I don’t think) that still goes on without them really ever addressing it. Also support is pretty pointless, they will just blame yourself ISP for coding the modem wrong and make you call them after being on hold forever.
