    Great Overall Gaming PC

After 4 days with this machine I can say that overall it is a great gaming computer. The build quality is excellent with all black cables and great cable management behind the back panel. There are two sticks of 3200 ram, an Asus dual 3070, an NVME with a heat sink and an Asus B560-G motherboard. I was really pleased to find the motherboard is high quality with large heat sinks, decent looks, built in wifi 6 and a good amount of i/o’s on the back. Playing games yields great frame rates even at 1440p. The GPU stays right around 70 C but the cpu is a little warm around 75 C. User benchmark shows “UFO” across the board with gaming at a 150% of their reference values. Things I would change would be to add an intake fan, there is room for a 120mm on the front, replace the plain, green ram with something a little nicer looking , and get a larger outlet fan. The 92mm outlet fan really has to work. Overall a great machine at a reasonable price given the strange GPU environment we are in.

In my opinion this is currently the best purchase you can make if youre looking to build a PC from scratch but the gpu shortage is making it difficult. Most other prebuilts aeound the 15 to to 1600 price point only come with a 10th gen cpu and 3060... 3060 ti if youre lucky. Excellent motherboard l, good enough psu, case is kinda tacky looking but it geys the job done. The only thing wrong is the coing system. Id HIGHLY recommend getting a new cooler. There isnt much room but i managed to put an msi coreliquid 240 water cooler in it and it instantly dropped 40c on idle... this cpu runs hoooooooot. The cooler i bought was a bit in the higher price side at 110 bucks but there are certainly oprions under 70 that will do just as good of a job. Ill post pics to show my placement. Overall i could be happier with the system. How they managed this price point is beyond me. If you load all the components in this PC with the current ridiculously high prices of computer parts youll see that if you built this system yourself it would actually cosy about 100 to 200 dollars more which absolutely blows my mind. I cant possibly recommend any other prebuilt more than this one. Alao received it in 3 days which was just icing on the cake! If it isnt available when you're looking at this just be patient. They restock this PC multiple times a day so just keep refreshing every few hours.... if you bought this product and are now looking at this review well then congratulations!!! You just made and amazing purchase and beat out everyone else you know who paid the same amount for their prebuilt in terms of quality of parts and specs!

I bought this computer a few days ago. Like everyone else says the cooling in this system must be addressed immediately. I bought a Corsair AIO ICUE H100i Elite Capellix. This system runs extremely hot, legit makes my room hotter and I have a pretty big room. I feel like whoever manufactures these definitely knows that the one 94mm exhaust isn’t even moderately close to enough to cool these components. I mean why not throw a better cooling system and up charge a little. Instead you have a ton of unhappy customers and they obviously don’t care because they wouldn’t let them go out like this. This is extremely unacceptable when the final price is just under $1,750.00 after tax. Then you have to go buy a cooler $100-200 mine was $165.00 after tax. Now we’re pushing almost $2000.00. If I decide to keep I’d have to buy a case because this one is extremely tight and getting more case fans in will be a rigging challenge of its own. I highly recommend looking else where if you’re not comfortable modding it does take some work and time it’s not just “2 screws” like I read on another review. I got this build because finding a 3,000 series is a joke right now. I’m highly contemplating on returning this.I built another rig that had a 3900x AMD CPU and a 2070 Super that definitely out performs this rig easily. Gaming and other tasks. It’s a shame they’re letting this go out the door and into customer hands this way. You should want your customers to be happy and come back for seconds or more. There’s no way I’d ever buy a prebuilt from them again. One of the biggest sellers is word of mouth. What do you do when your customers are unsatisfied. Absolutely nothing and you keep sending them out that way, it’s honestly sad. I give it a 2 star because at-least it works and you can game on it. It is everything but a stellar experience though. Cable management is pretty good but if you throw a 240mm AIO you will have to take the wire cover off unless you strip and reroute the wires. This is definitely not my first rodeo and this wasn’t a fun experience. It’s not fair that I have to go spend all this extra money to get a decently functioning machine because the manufacturer just flat out doesn’t care about their customers happiness. The Ram is extremely cheap, the SSD is as well. The best components are the MOBO, CPU (LOCKED) and GPU. The other components were cheap. I’m not expecting to get a Thread ripper, and a 3090 for $1750 but I’m also not expecting to get something that should be around $1200. Please make your future customers happy since you could barley make your present customers happy. Please start listening to your customers we’re the ones who make your job and business possible.

Agree with all the reviewers. Need to update cooling. Cpu was running 55c while transferring files from old computer to new computer. Shut down once from overheating. The CPU fan sounds like a small hurricane while downloading updates. 2* as is. If you are afraid to do any mods. I do NOT recommend this computer. It is super loud and runs super hot and will shut down on you. After a 150 dollar AIO (bestbuy had this in stock on the shelf so I grabbed it iCUE H100i Elite Capellux), some minor surgery (had to remove bottom plate that hid the power cords... It's easy, just a couple screws) it's a solid computer. At the end of the day I now have a super quiet, cool, lightning fast RTX 3070. 5* after my easy mods (complete noob. Package directions were all I needed). I think it's still worth it and would do it again.

      Dear Cuddlez,

We do understand your concern about the fan noise.

It is normal, just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

Great Components Bad case. Airflow is horrible. CPU gets in the 80s F with stock cpu fan I installed AIO barely as there is no room in the case, lots of modifications. I'm now looking for a case to transfer everything to. I asked how many USB 3 in this and was told 6 however they are USB 2. There aren't enough USB ports in this only 2 Type A and 2 Type C. If you're a computer builder you will be disappointed with this case design/ airflow. CPU and GPU are great otherwise runs anything I throw at them.

This overall is a solid built desktop however it has 1 very specific issue currently that all units are shipped with. Some people may have noticed that it is turning off because it is overheating. The Bios has an issue with the Fan Curve. The Default Fan Curve is set to Standard in the Bios but the Fan Curve for it is actually supposed to be the Silent Fan Curve which doesn't kick the fans up until it reaches 72C which is too little too late because it will thermal throttle as high as 94C from what I've seen. The Silent Fan Curve in the Bios is actually the Standard Fan Curve that it should be set to. Hopefully Asus will issue a Bios Update and fix this on future iterations that are shipped out. To fix this issue, you just have to hit Delete or F2 on the Asus ROG Screen before Windows loads. Click on the Q Fan Control and then choose Silent for each of the fans. Hit Apply To and choose all of the Fans. Save and exit. Problem solved. You can also set a custom fan curve and adjust it correctly. GPU is a Asus Dual Non-OC. The ram doesn't support XMP. I wouldn't say that it is quiet once the fan curve issue is fixed but considering how difficult it is to get a GPU currently. This is a decent deal.

Honestly I think Asus is taking advantage of the gpu shortage. It's a decent price for the parts, but CLEARLY the stock cooler isn't good enough to these hot intel CPUs. The temps with the side panel on as intended regularly hit 100c sometimes just with minor stuff. The CPU is thermal throttling like it's no tomorrow! You can go the cheapo rout and take off the side panel for a bit extra airflow and dropped temps. But more dusting will be needed. Alternatively you could just upgrade the cooler. But keep in mind that the computer case is alot thinner than your typical PC case, so either a low profile air cooler or an AIO will be needed if you want your side panel to close. It's a shame but even so this is a GREAT deal in the current hellscape that is PC buying/building right now.

The stock setup is loud, hot and will not provide the full performance the CPU is capable of. Which is a shame, as the components would combine to make a solid gaming PC at a great price. Get a 92mm tower style cpu cooler (e.g. be quiet! BK030 Pure Rock Slim 2) and at least one 120mm intake fan or a 240mm AIO liquid cpu cooler. Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're sorry to hear about the issues you're having with this model. The noise that is emitting from the computer is known as coil whine. When the electrical current is increased to a certain point, the magnetic field around the coil can cause it to vibrate, which produces the whiny sound. After a short amount of time the noise should go away as the components regulates. However, if it is that the sound is too much for you, then we would recommend that you have this device sent in for servicing.

I bought this hoping for a smooth out-of-box pc with a nice GPU. Well, it wasn't smooth at all. I followed other's suggestions and bought a corsair H100i AIO. This fit after a little bit of work on the front. Although it did help, the airflow on the front is so poor that it had to operate at its peak to keep the CPU somewhat cool. My next upgrade was 32GB of corsair vengeance as I run lots of FEA studies for my work. I added an intake fan on the top using some zip ties. There are no mounting holes on the top. Why? No idea. The only fan that comes with this is a small, super loud exhaust fan. Who designed this? After all of this extra work, I had a VERY noisy machine, and it was still thermal throttling. I recently bought a corsair iCUE 4000X case. This solved all of my problems. The GPU and CPU are MUCH cooler in this case and can operate faster. I got a 40% increase in FPS from better airflow/cooling. Oh, and it's near silent. ASUS engineers should be ashamed of themselves for building such a terrible case. I do not recommend this product unless you are in dire need of a GPU. I've spent well over $2k on this project. If I were to start again, I'd go another route.

Good specs for the price (considering the current market) but thermal performance will be a problem. CPU intensive games will run the system very hot. The underpowered CPU cooler runs extremely loud to compensate. Temps frequently get above 80 degrees. If you buy this, look to other reviews for potential cooling solutions. A system with a 3070 for $1600 was a rare find, though, so this is what I went with.

I like to game, but I work professionally as a photographer, and freelance video-work every now and then. For the purposes of Lightroom and Premier, this computer doesn't perform too well, but I think that has to do with 16GB RAM? I'm unsure. It's a solid PC.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. It's noisy and it's driving me crazy. I don't know if it is the poor 11700F CPU that yoyo up and down in temperature or just the horrendous fans in this desktop. There are only a single case fan and that is the small 90mm fan in the back. I am pretty sure it is this fan that revs up like a jet engine whenever I do anything that requires any processing power. Yep, no front fans, no fans on top of the case. I have a couple of 120mm case fan laying around so I added it to the case. It wasn't easy getting the case off and adding the fan. It helped a little bit so I then decided to change the stock cpu cooler to something a bit better. Things are less noisy but at least once an hour, I still hear the darn rear case fan revving up. Turns out there is a setting in the Bios where the fan setting are all messed up. Changing the fan setting from standard to silent help stop a lot of the revving. Still, I'm conditioned to hear the case fan revving up and it *still* do it much too often. Everything else is great, I'm just not sure how long I can stand listening to this noise.

      Dear Silhouette,

We do understand your concern about the fan noise.

It is normal for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation.

DO NOT BUY THIS PC! I first read the reviews of people complaining about it not having enough cooling, but I'm just a normal guy that likes to play casual games. However, this PC has shut down suddenly within minutes of doing ANYTHING that taxes the CPU at all. Just a straight system halt shutdown. My wife was just doing a word document and it shut down on her. I can't even imagine trying to deal with ASUS support on this, so I just boxed it up and back it goes to BB.

      Dear Marcbollinger,

The auto-shutdown is possibly a thermal issue. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

Stock cooling sucks, so does the psu and ram. Bought it for parts and GPU during big shortage. Card and CPU is good

I do not recommend getting this pc the cooling system is to weak so the cpu overheats and the pc shuts down. Went to geek squad to get it looked at and they couldn't get the same issue to happen so its random. Had it shut off on me downloading files, trying to play forza, and even watching videos on the browser. They said i could upgrade the cooling but they recommend a liquid cooling and the case is to tight so at that point i would say just get a different pc.

Expected to get a working computer for gaming functionality as it is advertised. The cpu starts overheating just when checking your email. Bought cooling upgrades but after looking into it, setting up a proper cooling system would have requires a chainsaw or sledgehammer
