Work wonderfully to extend the range with AiMesh

They work FLAWLESSLY with very little configuration beyond the Asus admin prompts on my main router. I can't speak to their functionality as a basic stand-alone router.

I was having a weak connection upstairs, but after setting this up as a mesh router my connection problems have stopped. Highly recommend

We do understand your disappointment with this range extender and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing wireless range or coverage issue. Typically, the coverage of this WiFi Extender is up to 2200 sq. ft. To improve wireless coverage or range, place this device in the center of the area you want to cover, avoid placing the router near metal objects, electronic devices or direct sunlight, position the router on a flat, hard surface and halfway between the floor and ceiling. Additionally, dense building materials, such as gypsum, concrete walls and planks can affect Wi-Fi signal penetration. After 35 min and much cussing I returned the non-working item and bought this. This Asus extender took litteraly 5 min to get working, including the time to read the directions and load the app on my phone. Worked perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

The unit is rather large by the way, so put it somewhere where no one uses the plug like my hallway before my door is never used except for now this. You can also turn off the LED light if it bothers you. On the setup, give it a few tries before getting frustrated and making a rash decision. Routers require patience.
