I bought this to connect to the August Lock but returned once I realized Homekit supports it.

99% of the time I am able to remote connect to my August Smart Lock and open via my iphone. Works as advertised

Easy to use & everything is simple to setup and use

Overall a great concept. It syncs very well by remote access using August and Xfinity Home App. However its Bluetooth ability is a little sub-par. I have found it necessary to re sync my phone with the smart lock constantly by restarting my Bluetooth. The support has been pretty good so far and they are sending me a replacement. Based on that I would recommend it with some caution.

With the addition of this gives me peace of mind when i think i may have forgot to lock my door

You have to have this for your august product. I don't think its fair that I have to buy this item to work with the august lock. To me its seem as if they are trying to make more money. Well any way, you have to use this. .Once I hooked it to the WIFI, it worked great

I like the fact I can control lock away from home but connection sucks I had to move it close to my lock

I like the August door lock. Just would want it built in. But does give further range

At first it said the connection was weak but then it works good since installed.

I brought this Connect because I was told that I needed it if I wanted remote access to my lock but what I did not know is that if you have an Apple TV 4 that is within bluetooth range of the lock then you do not need this connect if you will be using it with your iPhone. If you have an Android you will need this connect to remote access your lock or if you want to use Google Home or Alexa. The product does faulty but all reviews I have read seem to have the same issues. The problem is the connect does not pick up the wifi and bluetooth signal that well. My lock is literally 2 feet from the connect and the connect is 10 feet from the router should show great but its alway good. I could not place the connect 9, 5, and 3 ft from the lock and router if I did that it would not work. So I believe that you will run into some problems setting up this connect. I am new to August but I might have to look at the Yale lock which might be better for me.

Works great with my August Lock. Definitely something that should just be included in the box but otherwise it's a must have if you want ability to remotely connect to your lock.

Being able to see if your door is locked or unlocked from anywhere is amazing. Add the fact that you can remote lock or unlock, you've got your self a great product. Only problem is the lock itself, costing over $200, you would think this would be implemented. Not as a additional product

I bought this after buying the august lock, for the remote access, but the connection is quite iffy and frequently goes offline. it works 89% of the time, but if you want to allow remote access, i prefer Bluetooth keys. i would recommend this if you don't want to give any kind of access to the person your letting in.
