I've only used it for scanning and printing (no faxing) but I've had no problems so far. The only caveat I have is that it seems to draw a lot of power. It is plugged into the same circuit (not the same plug) as my work computer and when it starts printing it trips my UPS to battery power for just a second. Just enough for the UPS to beep and my LED desk lamp flickers while it prints.

Powerful printer from a quality manufacturer

I've been a big Brother fan due to simple setups and good quality, and now surprisingly the multiple capabilities has come in handier than expected. I also love the wireless capability - it's easy to send items to print directly from my iPhone.

Other reviewers had commented favorably and the price was right, so I made the purchase. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and like was it can do. First, set-up was quite easy! So far I have used it to print (including double sided), copy and scan and I've been pleased with the result of all three operations! The ability to copy from a remote printer and my mobile phone has been a bonus! After 3 weeks, I am quite happy with this purchase!

Haven't used it enough to comment on ink cost. NOTE, if you need to contact Brother for help don't Google number, there are MANY bad actors showing their number in Google for help. My Brother Keeper

I have to remove and re-add to my printer list on a regular basis. I am connected to two other printers and never have that problem, but the point of having this one was to have it next to me instead of walking back and forth to inconvenient printers (that work). It prints and copies beautifully.

Each one has been a workhorse. This one is no exception. We had decided to upgrade from a 10-year-old plug-in Brother laser printer very similar to this one to a wireless printer. The transition was seamless. It was easy to set up and configure on our home network and has operated smoothly ever since. I have zero regrets and am completely satisfied in our purchase.
