I have been a long time Canon customer and purchased this camera after reading so many great reviews. I have had this camera for two years, and the image quality is not much better than a T2i, which is an older Canon model. The battery did not last long and stopped charging after 1-1/2 years. When I contacted Canon to have it replaced and complained about a potential manufacturing problem, they were unable to help me due to the factory warranty expiring a year after the purchase. Best Buy was also unable to help. This is disappointing considering the retail price I paid was $1,399 plus taxes. One pro is that the camera is easy to use and it’s easy to transfer images to the phone. If you buy this camera, get extended warranty as the quality and durability of the product is questionable.

This is a good option is you want to use as a backup camera. (Not professional use)

I have been a Nikon user. I upgraded from D7100 to this one. It really feels sturdy and is a great camera.

Too many megapixels for crop sensor. Pictures in low light have a lot of noise

Not very user friendly kinda need to be tech savvy but once you figure out all of it great camera

Bought in 2018 and it failed in 2019. Right after warranty expires of course. I researched it a little bit and it turns out multiple models of canon cameras all share the same problem. The flashes on these cameras seem to be defective from the get go. Canon forums are filled with hundreds of complaints about the same issue. The price to repair the camera is almost as much as the camera itself. The model I own is a bit more so I have no choice but to fix it but if you own or plan on purchasing a rebel then it’s a throw away camera for the price to fix it. Check canons forum before you purchase or you might end up regretting your decision.

Hard to use for somebody that doesn't know how to. I bought this camera thinking I could understand its features and use it easily. I have been into cameras most of my life and I have a degree in photography. This camera is a bit too much for the average person. I was able to figure it out but it should've been a lot more simpler

Camera gets the job done. Lets me take a number of different kinds of photos.

The jury is still out for an honest review . However so far, so good.
