I got to tech tech and this is a great service that comes with it.

I have several brands of cameras and other smart automation but this was on sale and i wanted to minimize the number of apps I use. This surprised me with the application and picture quality. Can link it to a particular door if you so choose. A little slow on the notifications, but nice camera.

This is a nice add on to the chamberlain garage door app, so now when you are opening or closing you can see what's going on right there in the app. Camera Quality is ok and does the job, could have been better.

This camera was VERY easy to set up and use in my garage. I ended up returning it though because the Ring outdoor stick camera was more versatile and Ring’s cloud recording service is cheaper.

Chamberlain Indoor Garage camera s are very easy to install and configure . I installed other cameras nothing as simple as these especially you can stick it with out screws on garage opener itself

Installation was easy, especially if you are able to mount with the magnetic base which I was. It will stick right to the bottom of the garage door opener provided it is made of steel. One thing to note is that the printed installation guide does not match the in-app instructions. The former instructs you to mount the camera first and then connect power and open the app. The app tells you to connect the power first and proceed with adding to the MyQ app prior to mounting the camera. In the end I don’t think it really matters which order is followed though. When first open the MyQ app before adding the camera, you will likely see a chip or bubble type button at the top that says “Add camera”. That is not the one you want as it will take you to a web store page for purchasing a camera. You will want to click the “+” button at the bottom to add the camera device. Might be a little confusing to some. Once installed and setup I was glad that there was an option to flip the camera view in the settings as mounting on the underside of the garage opener initially produced an upside-down view. Using the camera in the app works well. It gives you a live video feed and you can communicate through the camera’s built-in mic and speaker. Sound is good and picture is clear in light and dark settings. Events are recorded based upon motion detection and recordings are stored in the MyQ cloud which they give you a 30-day trial of. It’s unfortunate that the camera feed is not available outside of the MyQ app. There are some “works with” integrations but nothing for video that I can tell. I have IP security cameras that record to a central NVR unit, and it would have been nice to include the feed from this camera. I would also love to get the feed on my Brilliant smart switches but alas none of that is possible as you are stuck with having to use yet another app to access video. I get it, they want to sell you the cloud storage for some recurring revenue. It would make this device much more versatile though to open the video stream.

Very clear picture and sound. Set up was easy. Only wish is if it wasn’t stationary. Would be nice to be able to change the angle from the app. Oh well still highly recommend.

Chamberlain’s MyQ Smart Garage Camera fills a direct spot next to their famous myQ garage door automation. At $149 it’s not a cheap camera, but it does have some unique advantages with the myQ setup. Is it worth the investment? The Smart Garage Camera is USB wired (no battery) wireless camera. Sporting a 140 degree wide angle lens, the camera can capture a lot of view of your garage. Indeed it’s designed to either be mounted on the wall or ceiling with drywall screws, or more ingeniously, mounted magnetically to the garage door opener housing. Chamberlain sells this camera to be ideally used with their MyQ Garage door opener kit, which is a fairly cheap product. Having a reliable camera to watch this newly automated door is obviously the rationale behind this product, and here it does well enough. Pairing the camera is about the simplest thing you can do. You plug it in, fire up the app, follow the instructions and bam, you have your camera connected. Furthermore, you associate the camera with a door opener and you can get alerts, and recordings. A few things that are weird about the myQ setup. Unlike some other manufacturers, you need to turn on your push alerts to know if there is motion. This wasn’t hard, but some people might be confused on why they aren’t getting notified of motion. Furthermore the association with the garage door was manual, but perhaps that’s because my myQ setup has 3 doors. I wish I could associate the camera with all 3 doors, because I chose to mount this camera on an i-beam in my garage far enough back to capture all 3 garage doors. Unfortunately, only one door can be associated with the camera. A few other notable mentions, camera connection time seems to take a bit longer than some other wifi camera I have. Usually within 10 seconds I’m connected. The built in speaker is effective - however you must use the microphone button like a walky-talky (push to talk) instead of simply a ‘call’. You can turn on and off night vision and other features, flip the orientation (depending on mounting), and enable recordings/notifications/motion detection, etc. Motion detection seems a bit sensitive, even on the medium setting. There are no motion zones, or distance settings, so it’s pretty basic here. The video picture quality is excellent, and you are definitely getting your camera quality for the price. I lament that to use Amazon Key or have any recordings at all, you must pay for a subscription. That further increases the price of the camera to an ongoing subscription, so be wary. You can still use the camera, but recordings and Key will cost you extra. Overall, the camera is an excellent addition to a myQ setup. The integration with myQ is obviously seamless, but for the price I was hoping for more, or even just 5 minutes of cloud recording free (or something). Overall an excellent product if a bit overpriced.

Great picture from this camera, however without a paid subscription it’s pretty pointless

It’s a garage camera not a lot of features but it was easy to set up and works just like it’s supposed to. I wish it had an on and off feature. When we are in the garage I just turn it to the wall.

Like the camera for monitoring the garage door ! However, the MyQ camera app/utility needs a lot of work ! Itz pretty poor.

These are nice little cameras, they connect via my q app ,visions is really good and love magnetic mount,down side is you have to pay monthly fee is want to review footage

Camera works great. MY Q APP is okay. The APP could use some improvements. The price was good as well.

This camera works great, especially in the heat. In Arizona, our garage gets very hot, and the camera continues to run well.

This was so easy to install and pair with my opener. I love the app and being able to see in my garage whenever I want to.

Don’t like the pay service ,I’d prefer a tb hard drive with no extra cost .
