For my purposes, including fairly amateurish editing of AVCHD files and conversion of various video file formats, this has worked great so far. I did have some trouble capturing AVI from MiniDV via Firewire, but that may be a hardware issue. I am using a 3rd gen Core i3 processor with slower clock speed than system requirements indicate, (and MB memory). Other than the capture issue this hardware has been generally adequate - just slight lags now and then, not unexpected. I have used transitions, vocal track, animated title cards, etc with no problems, along with dozens of video/audio clips in the same project. There are several other features I haven't used yet, such as multi-camera editing. If you have similar needs to me and can get a good deal (I paid $30 on Deal of the Day), I highly recommend this. You will, however, be subjected to a recurring nag screen suggesting upgrade to VS Ultimate 2019. I don't need it! I am awarding five stars for value and useability with the caveat that although I haven't used some features yet, this deserves more than four.

This is a very good product - especially for those starting out with video editing. There are plenty of online tutorial videos too. I would recommend this software for video projects.

This is a very good editing software easy to set up and easy to use it also has some really cool features that you can use.

I have edited several videos now with this software. It is very easy, easy navigation, easy to cut and insert clips/videos/pictures. The only bad part about it is the video capture on your pc. it only caps at 30 fps and cannot go any higher. it was rough to record with it and made my videos lag. All in all, I would recommend the product highly!

Extremely slow, but if your patient i guess it is ok. Lots of bugs and glitches. Kind of disappointing. Best part is their is not a monthly cost like adobe. however no updates available, just a new version is released every year. also normal price is $99 but every copy i have seen is also half the price. if you paid 100 for this software i would give it 2 stars but at 50 dollars it is a good intro software for basic video editing.

I didn't need or want to spend $500 dollars for editing GoPro videos. Got this on sale for half off and recommendation from a friend. Great deal for the money, it does everything and more I could need, with easy functionality/user friendly. A+ in my book.

I got this program since I like to create videos for family, friends and my Youtube and it works, easy to install and easy to use. it comes with many templates to use and you can also buy others too. I have used it for near two years and works. Make sure your computer meets or exceeds specs so it works flawless.

I was looking for a simple video program. I am a beginner so this program was great. It seems that going forward it will do everything I need it to do from simple to complex operations.

I don't have any experience with video editing at all. I bought this software because I thought it'd be easy to use. If you want to do basic stuff, I guess it'd be easy, but if you want to add things to make your videos more lively and fun, it's a little confusing for a novice like me. and then when you've used it close to a year (or even initially), you'll get annoying popups about renewing and upgrading...

Not a professional editor but this program helps me a lot to do with my family video projects And there’s not a hard to work with
