Had an old dead computer. They were able to transfer files from the hard drive. Irreplaceable photos. Much appreciated!

Bought a new laptop and had geek squad transfer data from old laptop. Left new laptop at store for 3 days. Everything was transferred perfectly. Very happy with service.

The employees did an excellent job retrieving the info from my old computer. However, some personal assistance in finding a new computer and a more reasonable price in setting up the new computer would have resulted in my purchasing a new one at Best Buy instead of online.

The day I bought my new Samsung phone the Geek squad was able to take me as a customer for data transfer services - which i was very happy with until I got home and found that not all of my contacts has been updated. SO, the next day I had to drive the 25 miles back to the store to try and get the job completed. I arrived as the store opened and Danny A. at the Geek squad counter was able to figure out the issue and complete the transfer. He was very courteous, and professional. Also he knew how to fix the problem. so a big THANK You to Danny A.

My new computer was purchased thru Best Buy. I had them update the computer and transfer data from old computer to new computer as part of the Total Tech Membership Fee. They service my computers several times per year, mostly be remote and I am very satisfied with the service. As such I bought my washer/dryer through Best Buy and it is included in the Membership for service at no additional cost. I will buy other items from Best Buy that can be included in service agreement because of the great service I receive from them.

My son's computer had to be replaced, so the Geek Squad offered to back-up his hard drive. It was a pricey but necessary service. Also, it took the employee a few minutes to physically find the flash drive upon pickup. Friendly staff.

I have been very happy with all help I have received from the agents at the Best Buy Geek squad at 55 Hotel Circle All the agents have been very helpful and have helped solve my problems some which occurred when they had to take everything of and reload I think everything is up and running like it was before and so far the original problem that I went in with hasn't returned since they did the reload (computer was locking up and was not able to be turned off) So a big thank you to all of your Geek Squad at Eubank! They are great. I cannot say the same about my horrible experience with the 800 number.

These Geeks snagged all the data from my other dying laptop, and helped me to understand how to use it. They were more than willing to help when minor issues came up with my new laptop! Worth every penny!

Overall, I am very happy with the Geek Squad. It didn't go easily the first time, but part of this issue was my fault, due to multiple users and confusing file directory setup on the old machine. So even though it took multiple trips to the store, everyone was pleasant, courteous, and helpful. In the end, everything was done that could be done, and the transition to the new machine was about as painless as it could have been.

Took my old computer and new computer into the store for a data transfer after the service tech was unable to do it in home. Almost all of the data was transfered from the old computer to the new, including information from an external hard drive. All good. Except the Steam game data. Nothing on this was touched, though I specifically asked about this. The in home tech told me I would need to tell the instore tech and provide the password to Steam to complete this service. At the store I was told I didn't need to give them the password. They were very helpful setting things up and explaining to me some new processes on the computer, I really had a good experience with the tech I spoke with. Unfortunately, I discovered once I was home that the Steam games had not been downloaded which I then did, but took some time.

Brought my HP laptop in for slow operation and other issues. It was determined it needed a new hard drive. It was installed with a data transfer. Running faster with no problems. Thanks!

I bought the new hard drive at Best Buy and the installation and data transfer was very quick considering. If you do get a new hard drive save yourself the trouble by getting the data transfer service as opposed to a cloud system, clouds sometimes don't download complete programs.

Purchased a new iMac & had data from MacBook Air transferred. The personnel at the Ithaca (Lansing) were a pleasure to work with, except when I picked up the iMac they failed to provide us with the new password they used to complete the transfer. Nothing but praise for Josh (hope he gets a BB shirt soon), Austin, CJ & Kyle. However, my 5 star rating stops there! When discovered that we needed the password we tried to call the store. Even having a local phone # and an extension, the call ended up at a National call desk with no ability to talk with anyone locally! I discussed with an agent in FL who was to send a message to the Ithaca store, with the assurance that they would call me back shortly… that call never happened. The next day we again connected with “National” & was told that it could take up to 48 hours before I get a call back. What?! Almost an hour on the phone (& while trying an online chat on the iPadPro (multitasking), I ended up with support in Panama City, Panama. The online chat, lasting over 20 minutes ended up with providing us with another phone #. We’ll, the gentleman in Panama stuck with us trying several possible passwords & ended up going to his supervisor and had the issue escalated. He was actually able to get an extension number and got the Lansing GeekSquad with 3 of us on the line! Unfortunately, I have misplaced the gentleman’s name in Panama, but he along with the Lansing personnel earn 5+ stars. Best Buy corporate customer service & phone service & the online chat, a very disappointing negative star rating. Neglecting to provide us with a password… stuff happens, but customer service support without being able to interact directly with the local sales staff or Geeks..inexcusable! //We're posting the experience here as we don't see where else to tell about our experience & understand if you don't use it// BTW…love the iMac & iPadPros

The agent evaluated our current older laptop and was able to clearly explain procedures he was using, problems and options. He was very professional, knowledgeable and provided what I would describe as "honest options" for either repair or replace. Very appreciated.

Our PC was running out of room. Plus we never upgraded to windows. The Geek squad took our PC and put in a new hard drive & downloaded data from the old one. It took 4 days to complete the job. I wasn’t happy because I couldn’t get an update. There is no direct phone line to the Geek Squad so I couldn’t easily get an update AND the app for Best Buy didn’t seem to be working. I was told they didn’t have time to enter updates. A very frustrating experience.

Excellent. All items transferred successfully. All looks the same from one laptop to another. Amazing!

Geek squad agent Matt worked to increase the memory in my laptop at my request. He encountered many issues, crashes and problems on the way, but persisted until he could find solutions that worked. Then he got all my important data transferred safely to new drive, and re-installed Webroot and Zoom, as well as helped me to get my glitchy e-mail functioning again. I appreciate his diligence in making sure everything worked and was upgraded beautifully as promised. On the way, communications could have been a little better, and one sour note was the Best Buy system which failed to text me that the job was done, so that I had to wait three extra days without my laptop. Otherwise, great job, and also, they were all very patient and non-judgmental with me and my technical ignorance.

They helped me deal with the manufacturer and made sure it worked great when I got it back.
