I had to wait a long time, but now I am aware it is best to make an appointment. My computer crashed- hard. Computer was toast, but the Geek Squad was able to transfer everything off the hard drive onto a portable drive. They are soooo talented, helpful and friendly.

I had to have my files transferred because of an issue with Microsoft update screwing up my computer. The first file I looked for was not transferred which was a pain to reproduce. Seems that all others were done correctly though.

This is a great service. I had neglected to regularly back up my data, and when my computer crashed this service saved me a lot of headaches. I am much more meticulous about backing up my data regularly now, but it's nice to know that this service is available.

The screen died on my old HP laptop. I was not able to access the hard drive to transfer all of my info. The Geek Squad completed the transfer quicker than I had been told so I rate them very high for the speed of getting me back up and on my computer.

We purchased a new MacBook Pro and they transferred our data in three days.

Since I'm not very tech-savvy, having the Geek Squad transfer data from my dead computer to my new one was such a great service! They Transferred data, returned the hard-drive from the old computer, then recycled the old one. Exactly what I needed!

I think the Data Transfer service that the Geek Squad offers is awesome! They were able to get all my photos and documents off my desktop computer that crashed and put them on my new laptop that I purchased and had it done in about 24 hours! You guys are great!!!!

Geek Squad did an excellent job of transfering all my files,bookmarks,E mail and photos.I am not very tech savvybut when i GET home there was nothing left to do except pretty much turn it on

The Geek Squad members were timely and professional. They informed me of everything they did. They sent up my new laptop and transferred all my old files to my laptop. Once my laptop reached its storage limit they put all my files on a flash drive.

The Geek Squad was backed up when I arrived. They still acknowledged me quickly. When it was my turn we went over the problem and I was given a time to pick up. Everything went smoothly and I was able to get my files from my old computer.

I backup my pics and documents frequently, but never know what I've added since my last backup. Good to have it done. Not convenient though to have to search through a separate backup folder to find all my frequently used documents.

The computer works fine, but I'm still trying to find all my genealogy. My husband's lines transferred, but mine didn't. I found some in an old program that transferred, but my updated one I can't find. My son in law helped me look for it and we thought we had it, but realized I've lost a lot of valuable information and will have to type it back in if not found. This will take me many days!!! I still have my old hard drive. Is there anyway for you to transfer my genealogy onto a flashdrive or something from it? I am going to try putting the genealogy program on again in another file and using a flash drive I have from last year. If that doesn't work I will be contacting you. Even with that I will have to double check each person I've worked on to make sure all is updated. Luckily I print out the family group sheets with the notes. I didn't discover this at first so told the Geek squad it was o.k.

Had the Geek Squad transfer files from my old laptop to my new one. The screen on the old one was no longer working. Very professional.

The agents were understanding of my anxiety in transferring data from my old iPad to my new Gen 5 purchase. They calmed my fears, were enormously helpful and skilled. Bravo for a job so well done!

Transfer was quick with no glitches. Staff were very helpful.

Had to take my laptop computer to them to have the hard-drive recovered after a failed software update. These guys were able to remove the hard-drive and pull the necessary information off of it and place it on a thumb-drive in the matter of a few hours.

Was well worth the onvestment to have them move all data from my old PC to my new laptop. When I turned on my new laptop, all was the same as before (except had to reload software). Made picking up where I left off with the old easy and efficient.

Unfortunately I didn't for go with this process for it was a brand new computer everything had been saved on a external but I am sure they can assist greatly with this process. For I had this done on some personal computers years ago.

i was very apprehensive about replacing my earlier computer because of this necessary procedure but it went seamlessly. Had I known this in advance, I'd have replaced my computer much earlier.
