They did a good job of transferring data except I couldn’t open any of my word docs so had to go back. It was quite annoying but one or more of the tech staff finally got it figured out.

9 year old Mac with lots of photos and documents. We were concerned that they would not be able to transfer seamlessly but very surprised and pleased to find everything was transferred. Very happy and relieved. New computer is awesome.

We were very pleased with the service provided from the Geek Squad. Our PC was very old and would have been difficult to transfer data. The Geek Squad completed the transfer very quickly and was set up perfectly to just plug in and use.

Pulled hard drive from laptop for me to keep my data. Old laptop not able to be upgraded to windows 10 so I had them recycle the unit.

When I brought my computer for clean up and they found I needed a new hard drive, after the agent informed me they needed to do data transfer, I was pleased that they were able to save and transfer all my data.

They did what needed to be done. I was pleased with their service.

Having the Geek Squad is so handy. Every time I run into a problem I call and make an appointment to bring in my laptop. The squad always finds the problem and explains just what they are doing. Nice to know someone is there to help.

The transfer of all our data from our older laptop was done much faster than we expected so we had the new laptop to use much sooner.

My old computer crashed and they not only recovered my saved files but all of my pictures I thought were lost forever. The process was very quick and the techs were very knowledgeable and friendly. I was then able to recycle the old computer.

I actually got more than data backup or transfer... I got data cloning. They are one of the few places that even offer full cloning. Geek Squad did a perfect job but I did have one issue. They initially refused to do the service unless I purchased a one year service contract for which I had to give them a credit card and which would auto renew unless I took affirmative steps to cancel it. When I refused and agreed to accept no service contract of any kind they did the service and the price was substantially less expensive. I had this same service done at the same store two years ago regarding another computer and I didn't have this issue.

The Geek crew were terrific in analyzing and fixing my PC problem. It was an impressive team effort by the Squad and I can’t thank them all enough!

The agent transferred our data from our old laptop to the new one. He spent a lot time going over everything and answered our questions. He even helped install and move some items on our old laptop.

Geek Squad transferred hard drive data to my external hard drive after the computer crashed. The documents were easily accessible on the external drive.

Great service as always - help was above and beyond! Two things usually drive business in the right direction: pricing and customer service. I find myself returning time and again to Best Buy these days for my electronics and computer needs because my experiences have been stellar in both areas. During my latest visit (in Farmington, NM) I stopped in with a cell phone emergency and was helped by Ray in the phone area - and he went far above and beyond in getting me taken care of; I cannot express enough how much his level of service and expertise, great personality and helpfulness sealed the deal for Best Buy in receiving my patronage. I hope Best Buy recognizes the value of this employee and ensures that his is the example that leads the way in Customer Service. Thank you!!!

I am not that tech savvy so I very much need the geek squad and I am always very satisfied with the work they do. They transferred everything from my old laptop to my new one. They said it would take about five days and it only took two. Very happy.

Very easy to get up and running. Automatically backs up my data every night. Thankfully I have not needed to retrieve anything lost, but I know it’s on the external drive if I need to get it.
