The agent started with the printer and did an excellent job of connecting the printer to all of my devices. She also made sure that they all preformed correctly before working on the external drive. She did an awesome job on the whole project. Highly recommend her for your business.

Over the course of a couple weeks, The 'Geek Squad' successfully performed a number challenging tasks for me--ranging from salvaging years of photographs, synching them all between 2 laptops & an i-phone, replacing a faulty/expensive printer (still under warranty), & setting up its WiFi connections at my home. How Grateful I am for all of these services--made possible via BB's 'Total Tech' coverage!

Brought My Laptop in for Virus Removal

I brought my laptop in because it had gotten a virus and because it was running ridiculously slow. I bought the two year Geek Squad protection plan on an earlier repair, so I was covered. I returned after the "three to five days" to pick up my computer. I choose to test it before leaving the store. I'm glad I did. The computer ran so slow, it took about 10 minutes just to come up. The Geek rep and I spent several minutes talking about why it was still running so slow after the virus was removed. She agreed it was too slow and kept the computer for further testing. The next day I spoke to another Geek who told me I needed a new hard drive. I approved the hard drive replacement. Two days later I make another appointment to pick up my laptop. We boot it up and it is still so very, very slow. This Geek rep works with me and the laptop for two hours. The laptop was working perfectly when I left the store and has been perfect ever since. I really appreciate the time and effort Geffery put into making sure I was happy before I left. My question is: why did it take so many people so long to make things right?

My computer failed. I took it to the Eagan MN Best Buy where I received no help. I then went to Apple Valley Best Buy where the Geek Squad Agent took time to diagnose my computer and determine that it needed a possible new hard drive, Since I had not backed up my data in some time I needed the back up service. When I got my computer back, the data was loaded onto a 1TB My Passport external storage as well as the computer. Instead of the hard drive failing, my operating system failed and needed to be reloaded. The Geek Squad agent worked with me as we confirmed that all of my data was present and that the programs that I used were reloaded and working perfectly. I was grateful that this store cared about me as a customer. Please know that the machine came back to me earlier than the original estimated date.

I have been able to get excellent help in every step of the way to acquire a new computer and transfer my information from I hold 4-year-old computer new the new computer. It is important to be able to rely upon the Deed Geek Squad to assist me and everything needed to be able to use the new computer.

Lap top repair + data back-up

We dropped off our lap top and worked with Meghan (she is very helpful and her confidence is backed up by her competence). The lap top was having issues after an update (it locked up). We were not sure if a virus was involved or not. We were concerned about losing data in particular 4000+ photographs from our recent 4 week journey along the east coast from Maine to Florida and then stops in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia with friends and family.
All of our concerns were met and the repair and back-up were done in just a few days. We were kept apprised of the repair status by email.
We are very happy with the work done and the professionalism and competence shown by your team.

Windows 10 operating system was corrupted. Geek Squad had to back up data, uninstall OS, install new Windows 10 then reload data. They did a good job. Having said that, I asked what caused the error code and got different answers from three different techs. They were familiar with the code but didn't really know anything about it.

Can't Believe They Recovered Everything!

Took 3 old computers (purchased in 1998-2005!) to Best Buy which had all crashed and 100% stopped working. They had pictures and other documents on them that we've always wanted. We kept them boxed up in our garage for years hoping someday there'd be a way to get those things off of a dead computer. When I heard about this service, I thought I'd see if I they could recover these things for a Mother's Day present for my wife. They recovered every last thing and put it all on a small little hard drive that plugs into our new computer just like a flash drive, and she was thrilled! I think they said to allow a week, but they were done within a day. A little pricy, but worth every penny.

What a GREAT experience!!!!. This was my first time using Geek Squad and I was extremely impressed and pleased. My old pc saw it's last day and I had gone into Best Buy where I purchased an !mac, which I was unfamiliar with. The problem was that years worth of photos etc. were locked in my old computer, which wouldn't even turn on. I wanted to have my photos transferred onto the new !mac and as well have them transferred to an external hard drives so that I could safely store the photos in another location.
GEEK SQUAD TO THE RESCUE!! I brought my old pc to them along with the new !mac. They transferred everything quickly and with ease. Everything works great. AWESOME!!

This Hard drive was an excellent price, and is very easy to use. its packaged in thick, durable material, so it can handle minor dings and hits. I have loaded all my music, pictures, and videos from two phones and my personal computer and have barely used up 1/6 of space!! this is amazing to me, because we had NO space left in our phones, and our computer was slow from too much stuff on it. It was by far one of the best purchases I have made in quite some time. I had excellent customer service in picking out what I needed, and I couldnt be happier with my decision! Will absolutely suggest to friends and family!!

When my computer did a fatal crash, I brought in the dead hunk of metal, and the Geek Squad went to work. They were able to save all my old data from my old hard drive and was even able to fix my computer at the same time. Microsoft put out a "software update" that did the damage and the Geek Squad had to erase the entire hard drive and reload all my software back in. There was even a customer right behind me in line that had the same problem as me, same update did us in! The back-up they did was great and they saved all my business accounting data. The Geek Squad always does a great job and is the only place I take my computers from my business and home.

The efficiency of The GEEK SQUAD located in your store is a lifesaver and they are the best techies! They more than helped me when computer programs were installed by a different company I had service with for years along with The Geek Squad. These programs were vital and had to be installed which should have taken 24 hours I was told by their tech. It continued for 5 days and burned out my hard drive which is why I'm continuing the service I have through you and dropped them altogether because of this scam. The GEEK SQUAD installed the new hard drive and transferred all information onto it.

My computer crashed, I had a black screen and couldn't access anything. I was beside myself over the potential loss of all my work and personal data, contacts, e-mails etc. as I don't back up my data frequently (I know I should yet I didn't). I called Geek Squad in a panic. I brought my computer in the next day. They could not get a screen either and, not knowing what the issue was, did not make any promises that they could retrieve the data. They were able to back up the data and re-install all my files. Additionally, they improved the performance of my old clunker.

When my computer failed to start up and a Geek Squad representative told me it would need to be sent off to see if it could be repaired, I had that sinking feeling. Backing up was always something I was going to do "tomorrow"! I made arrangements with them to try to recover my data before they sent it for repair. I was so very relieved the following day when they called to tell me the data from my hard drive had been successfuly backed up. Even better news was received a few days later when I tracked the status of my repair online and learned that my computer had been repaired. Great job, Geek Squad!

I was thrilled to be able to get data off of my old hard drive after my computer crashed. I was unable to get beyond even a black screen myself. I brought in my computer (with little hope) and my Passport External Hard Drive. I was told that they could not use anything but a brand new back up drive so I had to purchase a new one on top of the transfer fee. Although I understand that they want to make sure it is free of bugs it was an extra expense I wasn't quite prepared for, I think I should have been able to sign a waver staying if they backed up and there was a pre-existing virus it was my own fault. Other than that the service was quick, professional and worth the cost.

We had issues finding our computer that was sent out for repair. First contact was with Mario and he did his best to assist. They transferred to Luke at store location. Computer should have been shipped to Store not home. They had to get a hold of UPS to reroute the computer for the store. Tyler called and gave me a step-by-step of what they needed to do. Once confirmed done, he contacted me and gave me a estimated delivery date. Was call when it reached the store. Nice job Mario, Luke and Tyler. thanks.

I have renewed my membership. I wouldn't be without it. Whether your great with technical stuff or your just so so. If your busy and most people have full schedules these days, this is prefect. You drop it off and they take care of everything plus they check out every little thing. If it needs correcting it's fix before it become a problem. They find things you had no idea was there. And it's covered, no extra charges. Now the cover so much more on the same plan. Phone, tablets, laptops, PC and for no extra charge.

My computer had crashed with zero left on it. Dell had to rebuilt but could but could not garantee that I would have my pictures. I took it straight to BEST BUY and they kept it overnight and put everything on my little blue My PASSPORT which I used to set up my rebuilt CP back from Dell so PERFECTLY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this extra hard drive of the BLUE MY PASSPORT that I will always have in safe keeping. I had bought another CP and installed my new computer by myself with my Blue MY PASSPORT..

Had a lot of problems with my husband's computer in the last two months.
Worked with several of the young employees. Each was very knowledgeable and pleasant. However, it took us several trips back and forth to Best Buy to get our issues resolved. I knew what I wanted as a final result, and I must say, they ALL worked to resolve the problem! Would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. We worked with Mark, Rico, Cullen, Victoria, and finally a supervisor that I do not know his name. They were all WONDERFUL!
