Though I would never enjoy a 2-1, but this machine has changed my way of computing. Mostly use it as a laptop for Visual Studio, tent mode for surfing and recipes, tablet for deep reclining while shopping. Get one!!! You will not regret it.

When my laptop from 2009 died, I needed a new one pronto, and this particular one met my professional and personal needs well. The touch-screen actually has spoiled me, for I mistakenly try to swipe the screen on my work computer to scroll routinely now, so useful is that function. The brightness of the screen and backlit keyboard are great features, and the laptop as a whole is light and easy to transport. I wish there were a DVD/CD included in the hardware, but that feature is readily available as an add-on external option, and few laptops seem to have that option regularly included nowadays. I'm happy with my purchase.

When I purchased this laptop originally, the machine was built with a standard screen instead of a touch-screen. I am not sure why this is even a product option, considering it's a 2-in-1 specifically to be used as a tablet and therefore *needs* a touchscreen... But Dell (and Best Buy) were very friendly and informative when helping me try to figure out the issue, and I was able to exchange for another model with the proper screen. GREAT laptop, other than that. Kind of wish it had a disc drive for the price, but understandable at the same time. Also wish there was an Ethernet port! It was an extra effort setting up my new wireless router without being able to directly connect via an Ethernet cable.. I love the tablet feature in the computer, as I've found the flexibility extremely useful when trying to get comfortable on the couch or in bed. Tent mode is great for watching movies, too! Not to mention how beautifully made the laptop is.. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome mid level laptop. I got it on sale for $600, which is a far better deal than the regular $730. Please be ready to be able to update this computer... There are some issues with the Wifi and display drivers, but I was able to get all of those updated and working great. Fast laptop for the price. 8 GB's of ram is a must nowadays. You will have to spend over $1K to get a laptop that performs noticeably better.

The Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 great buy with i5 processor, 15.6 inch touch screen. But it has 500gb of space. Wish it was 1TB. The transition from laptop mode to tablet mode is smooth and is really useful. But system performs quite fast even with all the software I had loaded. The speakers are good and screen visibility is good even in bright light. It looks great with its super slim body. Overall I am very satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

i have never been disappointed with Dell and this is no different.. good laptop at reasonable price.. touch screen is flawless.. first time setup was fairly simple (windows 10 is much better than earlier versions).. the laptop is a bit on the heavier side and i wish it was lighter.. battery could have been better... You pay for what you get.. Overall i am satisfied.. hope it lasts good 3 years

The Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 64-bit laptop is replacing an HP 32-bit that I had since 2008. The Dell is fast and the tablet capability is a nice feature. It has good battery life and with Windows 10 OS it is perfect for me as I already had 10 on my desktop. Not as heavy as my 17" HP so it is easy to carry around. Am loving it.

I purchased this for my mother as an upgrade from an old WinXP laptop (also a Dell) that had LONG ago reached retirement age. This has the same excellent build quality, has a full-size keyboard, and is easy for her to use. I really appreciated the limited bloatware preinstalled, which made setup easy and Windows 10 is an acceptable successor to 7.

Good choice but "Open Box" and Update issues

Got a great deal on what appears to be a solid laptop with a couple exceptions. First, this was an open box item. The sales guy assured me that the Geek Squad cleaned it up and restored it to factory operating condition. That was not the case as as soon as I booted it up the previous owners login screen came up. So, I restarted the laptop from scratch and all was good again for about 4 days. After a surprise Windows 10 update, the WiFi connection could no longer be found. It wasn't that it did not see my router, the laptop did not even know it had WiFi hardware. What made this even more serious is that this very thin laptop does not have an Ethernet connector so it's WiFi or nothing to get on the Internet which was required to get whatever drivers were probably stepped on by the Windows update. After about 3 hours of trying anything I could think of .I went back to the store and bought a USB WiFi adapter. I plugged it in, it was recognized by Windows and I was up and running. This allowed me to run a Dell check for drivers and download everything it said I needed. It has been running fine since.

There's so many choices out there for laptops and notebooks. I was a bit nervous ordering sight-unseen. But I figured I can't go wrong with Dell. I've had other Dells that I was very happy with. We were surprised and pleased when it came. This is a very nice computer for the money. The response time and program operation is smooth and quick. The sound is good. The battery life is respectable. The touch screen is very nice, responsive. This feels sturdy, the hinge is tight. I've had touch laptops that were flimsy and you had to basically hold the screen or it would flop over if you touched it.

Picked this Dell laptop for my wife. Great screen, size and clarity make this a perfect laptop for a person using project apps. Solid design, metal with a soft rubber outer for grip. Although there is room for a 10-key but there isn't one. Win10 is solid and familiar.

So far I am very happy with my new Dell. Travels well, preforms well and hasn't had any issues although it sometimes gives me a graphics error message. Windows 10 has a learning curve along with Office 365, but that's the same with all new products. Was able to replace my desk top and use this as my primary computer. Much much better than a budget laptop

While I'm no computer junkie I can navigate around. My new Dell Windows 10 makes life easier once you get use to it. I did have a few problems with it (the computer itself) right out of the box, however the Geak Squad took care of that in fine fashion and all is well. I would recommend this Dell 10 to anyone. I have already told my friends about it.

I walked into the store with a list of requirements from my son. He was using my HP laptop and the main problem was battery life. Tis machine can turn into a tablet, and has a touch screen. In a perfect world, I'd like a faster processor and more memory, but for the price it is amazing. The only thing I would have really liked would have been a DVD Writer.

Gorgeous laptop loaded with features. The only thing that would make this laptop better is a built in SSD. But that's an easy fix. Had some issues initially with crashes upon wake from hibernation but I fixed that by enabling hybrid sleep and disabling hibernation. Do all the driver and firmware updates when you first get this laptop to avoid any crashes and error messages. Kind of miss having my dedicated num pad on my old Acer laptop but getting used to it. Form over function in this case.
