Customers are satisfied with the S3220DGF monitor's screen size, refresh rate, and resolution, frequently praising its suitability for gaming and work. Many appreciate the monitor's quality, HDR capabilities, and FreeSync technology, although some noted the absence of built-in speakers and the monitor's weight as drawbacks. I was concerned with it not being a true G-Sync, but it is an excellent gaming monitor. 164 Hz refresh works great with PUBG. I wanted a 32" monitor and have been very happy with this one.

Best 2k / 165Hz / 4ms you can get for the price

Pros: 2k / 165Hz / 4ms response
Price is fair, i'd definitely wait for the sale which is every other month or two.
Cons: Now this is me being picky, but it is rather heavy and that limits the type of swing mount to get if you dual monitor this bad boy. I set off the circuit breaker when I ran three monitors, my portable ac, and waffle maker at the same time.
Comes with 1 display cable, 1 HDMI, 1 USB, and 1 power cable.
I've since bought two more; one for my gf and her little brother so they too may enjoy competitive "homework."

I understand this monitor is not cheap. But given the performance specifications I feel the cost is appropriate for an excellent monitor. While not an expert, I spent a week reviewing various manufactures and specs, balancing performance with price, and ultimately ended up with this.
I love this monitor. I use it for work and some light gaming. This is my first curved monitor, and while it took a bit to get used to, I don't think I can go back. Very immersive, responsive, and easy to navigate the various menus. I wish it had built in speakers, but those are always such low quality anyway it was nice to get a good pair of external speakers.

The monitor overall is not bad for the price. The only problem I have is that the HDR isn’t really good and looks fairly washed.

Great monitor with a couple of caveats

This Monitor is a very solid product overall if you're looking for specific things and may come up short if looking for others. The monitor brings alot to the table. Firstly, at 32 inches i believe 1440p is nearly essential as 1080p would lack the sharpness i like to have for my gaming experiences. Though keep in mind that even at this size things can seem somewhat pixely although not in a deal breaking way and the image is still overall pretty sharp. The Monitor has a very premium look and feel, very hefty and sturdy while also showing off a more professional than gamery aesthetic. Personally i like its more subdued look but of course that will vary person to person. It offers some practical functionality with its Integrated usb hub as well. offering 2 ports on the monitor and they are thoughtfully placed right on the underside of the screen so they are easy to plug in blind without having to turn over this hulking monitor. With these things in mind i believe there are 2 major concessions here though, and whether they are trade offs worth making will be for you to decide. The first and largest one is the response time. While on paper i feel its 4ms shouldn't be too extreme a bottleneck, no matter what setting I use or change on this monitor there is very noticeable ghosting. It is a problem everywhere as well being very noticeable both on the desktop as well as in game. In fact when playing a highly detailed game with a lot of object edges in frame it can be almost disorienting moving the camera and seeing the heavy streaking that occurs. Though of course there will be places it is less noticeable, it is something that pops up very often. The second is the lack of an IPS panel. Now this one makes more sense as a sacrifice for the size and performance at this price and personally is not a deal breaker. Also worth noting is that it is more noticeable to me since I came from a modest IPS monitor before jumping to this one and still use it as my secondary so the color difference is right in my face all the time. Now the VA panel provides solid color, much better than any TN panel Ive ever used, and could probably benefit from some manual tuning but out of the box it falls woefully short of an IPS panel. I was able to nab this monitor for just over $300 on sale and for everything else it brings to the table the omission of IPS is a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion. However the ghosting is something that i am not a fan of and has made me consider upgrading in the near future. However i would have to spend a pretty penny to do so if i wanted the same 32" 1440p setup so that will come down the line and again for the price i paid its still a very solid overall package. So just keep those things in mind if youre looking at this monitor, if they arent deal breakers then its a solid option to get a large 1440p display at 165hz. However, if i could do it again, for the $450 asking price i would probably go for a 27" 1440p monitor with a lower response time, similar refresh rate and an IPS panel since they usually start in this price range and would offer me an experience i would prefer.

Bought it for my gamer son and he loves it, He had a 27" 4k monitor with only 60 Hz. He said they online games are getting faster and and needed something above 60Hz and a least a 2k is fine for him with the online games. Believe me, I don't see any difference from a dad's perspective of the speed and the clarity of the 2 different monitors. But my son does and that's all it matters. And the size is a big difference from 27" to a 32" and I see that easily . So my son is satisfied with his Christmas present. The price was not that bad, because my son worked hard for 2020 year and he deserved it.

Beautiful Solid Great HDR montior by Dell.

A Great 32" 1440p Monitor with free sync, actual 10bit panel, Nice colors, 164Hz and HDR thts solid (bright at around 500nits). Makes HDR gaming enjoyable. I love playing on this monitor. The 1440P monitor to get at this price range.
The only issue, which occured on my other 1440P hdr 32in AOC monitor is freesync ingeneral. I just keep it off. Im not sure if its a LFC issue with freesync supported panels, but yikes playing with freesync ON theres this noticeable adaptive brightness flickering while gaming. Totally unenjoyable and has kept me to leave freesync off.
Save your self the hassle, and just turn it off but keep at least enhanced sync on.
Another issue is SDR content can be a bit on dull side with this montior, in games i feel need to be abovee 50 brightness to look just as bright as i usually like playing. But to each is own, a recommended BUY.

Great 2K Monitor for Games/Work

For the price this is an excellent monitor for 2K gaming/ content creation. Although it is only HDR400 certified, I was still disappointed with the implementation of this technology and I almost always found that the SDR image was much more color accurate/ well contrasted. You might be able to get good results if you are willing to spend time calibrating your display for HDR content, but I found this to be very difficult on windows 10 as many programs don't support HDR, and as a result I was constantly switching between SDR and HDR in both windows and the monitor settings. HDR aside, I have had no other issues with this monitor. The build quality is high, and it comes with a very solid stand if you don't want to mount it on a monitor arm. This is a great upgrade from a standard 1080p monitor without entering the territory of "ultrawide". 9/10 would recommend, especially if you can grab it on sale like I did.

This monitor is incredible. The image quality out of the box was very good which left me to do very minimal adjustments on my end. This thing is built like a tank and have experienced no wobbling while on the stand. Screen is big, good uniformity and menu buttons are in a reasonable location.
The only snag with this: if you're using G-Sync, you may run into some slight issues while playing games. There have been times where the screen cuts out to black, or cuts out to black displaying "Display Port No Signal" for about 2 - 3 seconds, then the picture came back on. There's no rhyme or reason to it and has happened randomly. One workaround that I found was to manually set the refresh rate to 144hz instead of 164hz in the nvidia control panel. Doing this SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the amount of times this black screen issue happened, but it still happened here and there just not as much. There are also some other suggestions on places like Reddit with other workarounds.
Overall I love this monitor and plan on keeping it despite the little G-Sync snag.

Thomas,
Thanks for your review. We're happy to hear that you're enjoying your new monitor for the most part. It's important to note that the S3220DGF is a FreeSync2 monitor and it is not G-Sync Compatible. If G-Sync is enabled on this monitor, issues such as flickering and blinking could occur. A list of Dell G-Sync Compatible monitors are listed here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs.

I have been using this monitor for almost three months and I really love it. I believe that it is an under-rated monitor as it appears to have flown under many people's radar. This monitor was an upgrade from an older IPS, 1080p, 60 Hz dell monitor. At first, I was uncertain if I would like using a curved monitor. However, after using it for a few days it really grew on me and now I really enjoy it. It makes games feel slightly more immersive and it doesn't interfere with other tasks, which I was initially worried about. I also wasn't sure if I would like a 32" monitor coming from a 24" monitor. When I first fired it up, I found the size really overwhelming. However, after using it for some time I've become used to it and really like it. I haven't adjusted any settings but so far the picture quality seems really great and I love playing games on it. Most reviews will mention that the viewing angles aren't the greatest. However, I use this screen straight on and haven't found any issues. Even when I do look at it from the side everything seems fine. The only downside to this monitor is that it can be greatly affected by glare. I have a window behind me and it can be difficult to see the screen when the sun is shining brightly. That's not a big enough issue for me to knock any points off as I don't mind it that much but I figured I would mention it. I did purchase this at a discount at around $320. I'm not sure that I would pay full price for it as there are other models around that price range that I've read perform better than this one (although the ones I'm referring to are not curved and are generally 27"). All in all, I think this is a great monitor and would recommend it!

I bought these because my wife kept telling me tp get off the tv as she wanted to watch her shows. So waited till black friday...got this on sale. Got home set up this bad boy and i have not look back since. I use these for work and for gaming, on my ps4 pro. Now i get many people would say the hdr is not all that great but i am not an expect, i am just your average consumer. Ever since i connect my system i have been hooked, i can go from work to gaming in seconds and i love it. Works for my needs, a bit expensive at full price but the sale price was worth it.

There are pros and cons to this monitor. The pros are it’s great refresh rate (165hz), it’s 1440p resolution, and large, curved monitor. Playing games on it has been a genuinely good experience. This monitor also has a decent amount of ports, including some USB connectivity that I use regularly (because I some how keep using all of my USB ports on my motherboard).
The cons include the fact that there are no built-in speakers. This is only disappointing if you do not plan on buying stand-alone speakers or use a headset. This monitor can also be a little difficult to color correct the way a like - however, the default color settings are not too bad.
Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and it works well for my use case!
