Does everything right and great value.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best overall value IMO if you have primarily hardwood floors. This does well on area rugs, great on hardwood (vac/mop combo) It vacuums great--navigation is on par with other similar lidar based bots. I have a roborock as well and its just as good--mapping is fast and it creates rooms pretty easily. The empty station works well and the built in mop is decent. I think this has more value than AIVI cam detection--much cheaper and I threw cords in front of it and it avoided them pretty well. (see pics below) For the savings I bought the pro mop ($99) which performs better than any all in one vac/mop period. In pics below you can see unit rolled up past cord slightly--then detected it and went around.

How to have a super clean floor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had trouble to create the mapping but the customer service was very good and nice and patient to help me solve it! Thank you very much! Also taught me more skills! I bought it mainly for mopping. I like super clean and I don’t wear shoes inside the house. I realized it didn’t clean very well even I sprayed the cleaner on the floor before started. I tested it witha yellow cloth. But the floor looked very clean. Two days later, I used it back to back for four times. It was still dirty on the pad at the fourth time. (I didn’t mop for over a month before using it). Then I spin mopped very clean two days later. Next day I dry mopped with my swifter before using it. It’s still dirty. Then I used it everyday, every other day, every two days. It can maintain cleanliness within 1-3 days, with my clean bare feet. I haven’t tried more than 3 days yet. I normally used mopping twice, third (more) wetness, today I stopped the robot in the mid process and washed the cloth and then resumed it. I found doing this made the floor cleaner! The pad at the end wasn’t that dirty. Now I understand how to clean the floor better. Start with not too dirty floor. Wash the pad like at least every 30 mins, depends on how dirty the floor is. Spot clean first if too dirty. Hope it helps everyone who wants super clean floor. I can lie on the floor doing exercise everyday now. I believe this machine was designed to mop very often for bare feet at home. The dirt on the pad as the last attached picture is nothing if you put it in a bucket of water. By the way, I was amazed by how precise the mapping skills was! Fantastic! Lastly, I bought it on sale. Then received an email from Best Buy that was out of stock! Then the store called me for available and ready for pick up?! I was disappointed and then excited. Thank you very much for South Torrance store. Sorry, forgot the staff name. He gave me back the discount price. He even helped me to put it in my trunk. It was very very heavy. Thanks a lot! Thank you Best Buy! Great service!

I love this vacuum.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wifi was simple to connect. Synced with alexa Easley. I had a eufy vacuum prior and this one works so much better. I have 2 cats and the empty feature works great. It is on the loud side. Makes the carpet fluffy and new looking. Does not bang into to stuff like my last one. The mapping works good. It only uses 24% of the battery to do my house. Plenty of run time.

The Auto Empty Bin is Worthless
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mapping of this robot vacuum is truly impressive with the lidar and other features it has. That's it, that's the only good thing. The mopping is subpar at best and can barely clean tiled floors. The bin itself in the robot vacuum is truly garbage. It has a really cheap plastic shroud that does something, no idea what, but it's made out of the cheapest plastic ever. The auto emptying holes on the vacuum are incredibly small and get clogged when it tries to auto empty the bin. Their suggestion for the bin getting clogged is to empty it by hand, which defeats the purpose of the auto empty station... When you contact tech support, you get very poor broken English that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's a shame that the product itself is so bad compared to the mapping ability of the device. The app is slow to respond, slow to load, and overall just a clone of another app from a competitor minus it working properly.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had it for a week and its just ok. Pros Cleans well when it wants too Great map blueprints Alexa compatible App works well Cons Auto clean does not clean out filter well. I have to manually clean it out every other day. Gets stuck ALOT. I have to manually help it or clean the drop sensors non stop because it gets stuck for some dumb reason Robot doesnt listen to no clean zones. I put several in my house and it just ignores them and cleans the area non stop. It even gets stuck in them thnking the rest of the house is the no clean zone. Likes to over clean some spots and just skip others. It ignores my bedroom most of the time with the door wide open. Also hasa bad ha it of cleaning some areas religiously and then say house is clean.

Self emptying feature did not work
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is the summary of my findings. The provided manual is very basic even if it has many pages, does not go too deep into functionalities. Helps with the initial basic features, not much beyond. Connecting to WiFi can be problematic. Based on experience dealing with two units (had one returned). Robot is quiet, does not bump into things, cleans well. I only vacuumed, did not mop. The AI mapping works fine, you can see in the app where the robot went. The app is okay but not as good as it could be. I say that because I have another unit from a different manufacturer so I have a point of reference. The robot did clean some rooms halfway, it came back later to finish them. That was kinda unexpected. The battery lasted well to clean about 1,500 sf and still had about 30% of juice left. The self-emptying feature did not work for me. The station did vacuum the robot but very little dirt has passed from the robot to the station’s bag. This is based on two separate identical robots, neither one of them was able to self-empty itself. I did work with the support extensively, still no cigar. To summarize, the robot vacuums well but the self emptying feature does not seem to work, at least for me. Here is the long and detailed review. Nicely packed, the box was bigger and heavier than expected. All packaged very well. You will get extra dust bag for the self emptying station, a second set of side side brushes and several mops. The associated app has some basic navigation issues. I am in the Apple environment and there is no back button on Apple devices (as there is one on Android). After doing a basic setup in the app like connecting to WiFi and adding the robot the app was forcing me to start the robot to create the floor. I was not ready to do that at the moment but the app would not allow me to decline the offer and there was no step back. I had to force close the app and restart it again for the prompt to go away. Similarly as the app was installed at the same time on all my other Apple devices, when I started the app on my next device I was forced by the app to start creating the floor map without the option to decline it. I had to again close the app and restart it again in order for the prompt to go away. There were also some initial network connection issues, did not properly connect to my WiFi, though I have succeeded after several attempts. Very quiet, relatively to what I had purchased before from a different manufacturer. I used an app to check the noise level while the Deebot was cleaning and got a readout of about 59 decibels next to the unit and about 50 decibels when standing about 6 feet away from the robot. That was on the setting called Normal. On the top setting called Max+ the sound increased by about 5 decibels. Still relatively quiet. The primary functionality that can set one robot from another is the AI mapping. What the T8+ pleasantly surprised me with was that it did not bump into anything. No hitting walls or furniture. It acted like a cool, careful cat, when approaching an obstacle like a wall it would slow down a little and then quickly turn around without touching the wall. Still covered the area, did not miss a spot, but there was no hitting. When cleaning around the big round legs of the coffee table it would swoop around it without touching it but with an almost perfect accuracy without leaving any visible space between the robot and the table leg. Another surprising feature was that when I was running it the very first time, when the robot builds the map of the floor layout, it had most of the floor laid out very early on, not like my other robot that needed to physically get to the area in order to include it in the map. The path appeared to be very systematic, without a haphazard left and right that I saw with other robots. Another interesting feature of mapping was that on the blue colored floor map I could see white lines which indicated where the robot actually went so far. That helped me better understand the progress status as I could see where the robot went so far versus other areas not yet cleaned. What did surprise me though was that it cleaned some areas halfway, then left for another room and came back to it later on. That was unexpected. The real issue and potentially a major concern was the self emptying feature failure. This next generation of robots suppose to empty itself into the station so you don’t have to clean the robot yourself after each cleaning. Sound promising. You only replace the dust bag in the station every 30 days or so as they say. Unfortunately for me I was unable to make it work. First I was working with the manufacturer, provided all the details and sent a video of it. Very little did move from the robot’s dust bin the the station’s dust bag. I have tried with them a number of possible steps to solve it, but nothing worked. I have wood floors and they are mostly clean. Just the usual dust accumulation. We have two small dogs but they do not shed. No cats. Still the dust would not move from the robot to the station. Very little would pass through and most of it would stay in the robot’s dust bin. They sent me a replacement unit to solve the issue. Unfortunately the second unit was still unable to empty the robot’s dust bin. In conclusion there is a lot to like about this robot. It is quiet, vacuums well, does not bump into objects, the battery lasts long enough to cover larger areas and there is decent amount of features that can be controlled via the app. On the other side the initial WiFi setup could be challenging, the manual seems very basic and the self empty feature does not seem to work (again had two units, same issue). I only had it for several days but my feelings about it are mixed.

A great bargain
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this vacuum on a great discount. I've used it for quite some time now. I still haven't used the mop because i have wooden floors throughout the place and i don't trust it yet. Also the water holder for the mop seems really small. The vacuuming is great on floor and tile. Mapping is fantastic. When you have a spacious area, 1900 sqft for me, its hard for the unit to remember homebase. However i would definitely recommend it.

All in one personal cleaner.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros - Great suction. I've had a cheaper robot vacuum before this and it missed a ton of things like pet hair, crumbs and dust/dirt piles. With the Deebot T8+ this is a thing of the past for me. This beast picks up every little thing thats laying around. I dont have to constantly see where it is and what it has missed. Definitely provides a peace of mind that it'll clean up the way you expect a vacuum to. - Mopping - Wow. So this was an unexepcted feature I didn't think would have such an impact since you are to use water, but I'm pleasantly surprised at what just using water can accomplish on lamenent wood floor. The fact that it mops and vacuums simulantously just ensures you're getting the best clean. It has sensors so it can recognize if its going to hit carpet or a rug to stop mopping. This isn't a feature I was able to test yet but it's advertised to do so and I look forward to testing this out when we get our eventual rug for our home. - Fairly queit for the type of power it posseses . The loudest point you will get to is when it docks back up the charging station and self cleans into the vacuum bag. - Packaging/Unboxing. This thing was pakaged great. Easy to remove, easy to set up and easy directions. I was a little worried when I saw how much was involved as my previous robot vacuum was so basic, but to my surprise it was a seemless set up and the steps were concise and to the point. We had this beauty up and running within an hour after it fully charged. - App/Mapping. Easy to use App, feature rich. Really neat seeing it map out your house and seeing its path. The first time using it the vacuum was kind've all over the place and didn't following a streamlined trail, however after its second run it was pretty cool to see how smart the tech is and seeing how it learned from its first run and was able to ride a better path its second run, making it run more effecient. The first run it took more time in less square foot to clean than the second run did due to learning the area floor layout of my home. The app also shows you when you should change certain accessories like the filters, brushes, etc. Cons - Mopping is more beneficial when you use the high setting. If you use a setting less than that I feel it doesn't clean as well as the high setting. - Wish you could use floor cleaner, like Bonomo or something, to provide even better cleaning. Maybe you can attempt but Im not sure if its worth the risk. - Wasn't expecting the charging station to be as big as it is but thats because it also is self cleaning so have to take the pro with the con. - No manual control to move the vacuum , at least from what I can find. Our previous vacuum came with a remote that you can control the direction of the vacuum. Maybe this can be done in the app but I haven't been able to figure it out. I will not deduct a star because this just could be my own ignorance . Other toughts.. I really can't say many bad things about this robot. Its efficient, cleans great and keeps learning. The dual mop/vacuum is so great and a big help in killing two birds with one stone. Between animals foot prints, hair and dirt being kicked around, the T8+ really lifts the burden of doing all this manually. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. We don't have the largest foot print for our main area that we use this in but I can't imagine how amazing having this would be in an even larger living area. If youre in a market for an all in one robot vacuum, look no further. Give the T8+ a try and I dont think you'll regret it.

Best Way to Vacuum...Without Lifting a Finger
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.---- Summary ---- Pros: - Nearly perfect vacuuming - Customizable cleaning - Accurate floor mapping - Obstacle avoidance - Self-emptying dustbin - Long-lasting battery - Quiet operation - Feature-packed app - Effective filter Cons: - Moderate mopping performance ---- Review ---- Design: The DEEBOT OZMO T8+ is dark grey in color with a sleek look. Some of it is a shiny material and other parts have a matte finish. At just over three and a half inches tall, it fits under most of my furniture with ease, getting the hard to reach areas that I often neglect. It has a TrueMapping Distance Sensor that protrudes slightly from the top and an AUTO Mode button beside it that can be pressed to initiate automatic cleaning (custom cleaning can be initiated through the mobile app). The button also acts as an indicator light. It’ll either be off, solid white, flashing white, solid red, or flashing red, depending on the scenario. With the top cover lifted, there’s a Wi-Fi indicator light, reset button, power switch, and multifunction cleaning tool (for maintenance). There’s also access to the auto-empty dust bin and the filter. The front has an anti-collision bumper and multiple sensors. On the bottom, there are additional sensors, the main brush with a release button for maintenance, two side brushes, wheels, charging contacts, a water outlet, and a reservoir. Included with the robot is the Auto-Empty Station, which has an infrared signal emitter to help the DEEBOT dock, auto-empty inlets where the dustbin’s contents go when the station is initiated, a dust bag under the top lid, and an indicator light. The power cord wrap that’s built into the back is a nice touch that I appreciate because it helps with hiding the power cord. Both the DEEBOT and Auto-Empty Station are very well designed. Setup: Under the top cover is a paper insert that has the steps to get started. I found them to be helpful and easy to follow. Basically, all that’s required is to remove the protectors, install the side brushes, place the Auto-Empty Station in the desired location, put the DEEBOT on the station, power it on, download the app, scan the QR code on the DEEBOT, then finish the on-screen instructions. Within minutes, my DEEBOT was ready to go. Setup was seamless from start to finish. I always appreciate an easy setup process. Performance: The DEEBOT is impressively efficient. It doesn’t just roam aimlessly and change directions when it bumps into a wall or object. It maps out the room, moves in straight lines when it makes sense to do so, knows where it has been, and covers nearly every inch of the floor. It’s even able to make it over a somewhat high transition strip that’s between my laundry room and living room. I’ve inspected its work after multiple uses and couldn’t spot anything significant left behind. My wife and I have a cat, so we were hoping this would help pick up hair throughout the week instead of it accumulating prior to our normal cleaning day, and it does a fantastic job of doing that. It’s also helpful for the inevitable kitchen messes after preparing/eating meals. Looking at the clean floor after it’s done and seeing how full the dustbin gets is quite satisfying. The Auto-Empty Station eliminates the need to manually empty the dustbin after each use, but I do have to occasionally check the dustbin because pet hair sometimes gets caught. When the DEEBOT transitions to carpet, it recognizes the difference and increases suction automatically. Even with the higher suction engaged, it still operates quietly. The only time it gets loud like a full-size vacuum is when the dustbin is emptying at the Auto-Empty Station. A lot of our flooring is hardwood, but several rooms are carpeted, and the cleaning effectiveness on the carpet is just as impressive as it is on the hardwood. I wouldn’t say it can replace a standard vacuum, but it certainly helps keep my carpeted rooms cleaner than they’d normally be. Whether I tell the DEEBOT to just do certain rooms or the entire first floor of my house, the battery lasts a long time. On average, it can get up to three hours of runtime on one charge. The mopping capability for hard floors is a great bonus, but it’s not perfect. As I mentioned, a large portion of my flooring is hardwood, so having the mop helps keep the hardwood cleaner than just a vacuum would. However, mopping just involves a wet cloth getting dragged across the floor as the DEEBOT is also vacuuming, so I wouldn’t say it’s deep cleaning by any means. Although it’s better than vacuuming alone, I wish the mopping cloth spun or vibrated to scrub the floor a little more than it does. My other wish is that it was acceptable to use a cleaning solution instead of just water. The instructions specifically recommend purified water. There’s no mention of a cleaning solution, so I’ve just assumed it’d be best to stick with water, in case using a cleaning solution somehow causes damage. Despite those wishes, I still like the mopping capability because it does a pretty good job of preventing grime buildup on the floor. Overall, this DEEBOT has the smarts and performance to deliver nearly perfect vacuuming, but I think the mopping performance is just moderate. App Features: General controls, like starting, pausing, or stopping a cleaning job can all be done in the app. Additionally, there are plenty of more advanced features available in the app as well, such as cleaning schedules, a cleaning sequence (order in which rooms will be cleaned), the ability to select a specific room or area to be cleaned, virtual boundaries, adjustable vacuum power or water flow level, and more. If you have Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant devices, the DEEBOT can even be controlled with your voice. It’s a feature-rich app that makes the DEEBOT experience both user friendly and convenient. Verdict: Where the DEEBOT OZMO T8+ falls short is mopping. While it’s cool to have a robot vacuum that mops at the same time, I think the word “mop” should be loosely used in this case. It’s more like a wipe. I might eventually try the add-on mopping accessory with high-frequency vibration that can be purchased separately, but I wish that was already an included feature and that cleaning solution could be used instead of just water. I think this DEEBOT is mainly designed to be a vacuum though, so with that in mind, there’s no denying that the DEEBOT OZMO T8+ is an innovative and effective robot vacuum. It accurately maps out the floor, knows where it’s been and where it still needs to go so that a spot doesn’t get missed and time isn’t wasted. The feature-rich app enables highly customizable cleaning, like schedules, virtual boundaries, or even the ability to tell it a specific area within a room to go clean. The icing on the cake is the included Auto-Empty Station that empties the dustbin automatically after each cleaning job. I’m happy to report that the robot vacuuming experience has been nearly perfect and for that, it deserves my recommendation and a five-star, “Excellent” rating.

Love my papa roach.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So absolutely love this vacuum have had it for a couple weeks has only gotten stuck 1x someone left the blind cords on the floor. Love the invisible blocks and mapping features. I do wish it had a remote like the first ecovacs I owned many years ago or even being able to guide it on your phone would be helpful another downside is it needs little bigger dustbin, and last downside is it occasionally has trouble making it to its doc and wanders the house looking for it. I have owned 4 or more diffrent robot vacuum this is the best one by far. I love the self cleaning function and the mapping features. I haven't tried the mopping features yet but that has to do with my personal preference to not use just how.

This is the best vacuum bot that I've seen!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, we already have a previous Deebot model, but got lazy with using it. Our biggest issue with it was the overall thickness, due to the sensor height on top. It was always getting hung under things and we'd have to go to "rescue" it. The new T8+ model seemed slimmer, overall and most noticeably, the sensor on top didn't see to be as thick. So, we thought we'd give it a go and definitely glad we did! I'm going to go ahead and say that this an awesome vacuum bot and I'll probably stay with the Ecovacs brand. It has TONS of features, which all work great. The only feature I was expecting and was missing was the ability to talk to your pets via the on-demand live video stream from the T8 AIVI model. Given this was the T8+, I made the mistake of "assuming" it was a given for this model, as well. Nope, it's not there. Too bad, as I was super hyped for this feature. Another thing I noticed. I already had the Ecovacs app installed on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, which I used with my then-current Deebot model. However, this one requires the newer Ecovacs Home app. Yeah, it can be a little confusing in the naming...one for the older bots and one for the newer. Couldn't they have just combined everything into a single app? This isn't a negative in any way though, just an observation. Unboxing of the T8+ model was a nice experience. Everything was packed neatly and there was no excess waste. The box is nice and premium, as well! It was super easy and quick from unboxing to getting it on the charger. Maybe 20 min, tops (using the quick start guides)? What I LOVE about this model is the use of the auto-empty dirt bin. There's a bag pre-installed and you get an extra one. Each bag supposedly lasts for about 30 days. I'm not sure if this is when using it once a week, twice a week, or what. I did look up the bag, however...as it didn't seem to be a standard vacuum bag. They're $19.99 for 3x on Ecovacs website, under the accessories section. Also, the main brush appears to have a 300hr lifespan and the side brushes, around 150. I've not tested or used the mopping option, as our house is a mix between carpet and wood. I would like to try the mop feature in the future, once I get used to it and more comfortable with how it works. I'm not going to lie - at first, it can be a little intimidating. Setting up the bot via the app, connecting to the network and such was super easy. We had random issues with our first bot, but this one had ZERO problems. Everything worked the first time. Once set up, firmware updated and fully charged, we set it out for it's first adventure. Our first cleaning and mapping with the unit took a little over an hour (1 hour, 6 minutes). Once done, it went straight back to the base, emptied itself and started charging. I even received a notification via the app that cleaning was complete. I don't think I ever got this with the previous one! After a bit, we all noticed that the house just "felt" better. It smelled cleaner than usual and you could see all the lines in the carpet where it ran. It also did a superb job on the regular flooring, too! We will definitely be using this at least twice a week. I just need to get around to ordering some more bags soon. We are much happier with this model and other than the missing feature I mentioned above (checking in on your pets and such) - which in fairness, was NOT the manufacturers fault...it was mine - I give this unit a 5/5 stars. The hassle free setup was great, it ran perfect when used and had ZERO hang-ups and rescue moments. It definitely seems much lower maintenance than we were used to with our previous one. I'd recommend this model OR the T8 AIVI one for the remote check-in features with pets and such. Now...just need to teach the cat to ride it while it's in action!

High Tech Robot Vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The technology this robot vac has is next level. Initial setup and connecting to my wifi network was a breeze. During it's first run It mapped my home with no issues. The ECOVACS HOME app makes everything simple and straight forward. Within the app I was able to set boundaries and mark areas I don't want mopped. You can also set a sequence for what order you want each room cleaned and It has various suction strengths ranging from quiet to max+. Max+ is definitely louder, I've found no reason to have it on anything stronger than standard for my hardwood floors but it would be perfect for carpets. For mopping it also has options for how much water you want it to spray during cleaning. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and 2 very messy kids that leave crumbs everywhere. This robot has cleaned everything up perfectly. I have it scheduled to automatically vacuum and mop every night. Once it completes the cleaning it returns to it's dock and automatically empties it's dust bin to the empty station. I will say it has had a couple mishaps with getting tangled on a couple cords and one night it circled my house 3 times before telling me it couldn't locate it's charging base. I'm sure with more updates it can resolve these types of issues easily. Overall I highly recommend.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this robot vacuum! At first i bought the s9+ and Brava jet m6 mop as a bundle! The mapping was good the cleaning performance was good but it kept hitting walls and didn’t avoid any obstacles! So i returned and and did some research and found this to be my best bet so i got it on the Best Buy Black Friday sale for $450 and i absolutely love it haven’t had any issues with it so far and it avoids obstacles and is much quieter especially cause it doesn’t hit walls. I also noticed it’s a lot quieter than the s9+ on max power and low power so that’s an advantage! I like that it uses lidar to map something my roomba didn’t do so i think that’s pretty unique! The self emptying bin is great although i have known if it’s to full it struggles to empty the bin but in the end it’s an amazing product!

Terrible support but decent robot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good robot but support is terrible. Be ready to find your own answers online if you want the robot to work correctly in your home. Here are some issues support didn't have any answers for and basically said sorry that's the way the robot works and to accept it. - A rug that is barely a quarter of an inch tall would cause the robot to not roll onto the rug. I have 4 of these rugs on my hardwood floor. Support was no help, I figured this one out on my own and after disabling the 3D avoidance feature the robot rolled right onto the rug. This was a head scratcher as one of the reason I bought this advanced robot was so it would avoid things like cables and chairs so it wouldn't bang into things or get the roller caught up but now this feature was useless for me. My Neato robot never had this issue since it never used this feature. - The robot would avoid parts of my rug, support said this was a feature because the robot considered black color areas on my rug as potential "fall" zones since the sensors think its going to fall off stairs. I told support I only use the robot on my 1st floor so can we disable this feature and the response was sorry, this is how it works. My Neato which also has the ability to detect fall areas had no issues cleaning these rugs over the years....it must use different type of sensors. This robot cost twice as much as my neato and couldn't even clean these rugs....I had to search the internet and found other complaints from other customers, the answer was to use tape to tape over these sensors, you would think support could easily open a feature request to bypass those sensors instead of me having to use some cheap tape to cover the sensors. - The robot had an issue where it lost it's map this caused it to gray out my scheduled jobs because it thought it was on a different location. After I got it to relocate itself it still grayed out my scheduled jobs and would not start any of the jobs or new jobs I created...I couldn't figure out how to delete the job so opened a ticket with support. Again they were no help and said they identified this as a feature request because you couldn't delete grayed out scheduled jobs. They suggested I delete all my maps and have the robot rediscover the floor. I did a quick search and in 2 minutes found the answer on how to delete the grayed out scheduled jobs....I was speechless that support didn't even know about this. - Lastly I spent more for this robot for the feature that it will auto empty the bin....however it's not that great, the hairs would get caught and cause the auto empty to never fully empty the bin, I always end up having to clean it out. I could open a ticket to ask support why this feature doesn't work correctly but I have given up. I'll just figure it out on my own later. As you can see support is terrible and all the features I spent extra for ended up not working. Worst part is I've only had this robot for 1 months. I bought this robot thinking it was going to be a big step up from my old trusty neato that I've had for 5 years but it's just a little step up. The only positive over my Neato is that this robot is a lot quieter and the advance mapping works better once I got it working. I can schedule specific areas to be cleaned on specific days/time. The UI was also easier to work with and create boundary lines so that it stays out of trouble areas. It does have a mopping feature that the neato didn't have and I've used it twice now, it's pretty average I took a full 2 stars off of the review because of support and all the things I listed above. I am pretty patient and tech savvy so I was able to figure out the issues above on my own or searching the internet. However for folks that aren't as savvy or patient you are going to be out of luck with the lackluster support. My neato wheels wore down after 5 years so I hope this expensive robot will last longer than 5 years and maybe support will improve, I did provide constructive criticism to support but I am unsure if any of these will be addressed.

Good little bot.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In fairness I cannot give this a 5 star review. I would love to because it works well, it’s quiet, and packed with features, however for a robot designed for hard floors and carpeting it’s not the best at carpet cleaning. It does a phenomenal job on hard floors however. The self empty bin is such a life changer and requires little interaction with the robot unless there is a issue. Pros: Self empty bin Mopping feature Low profile Quiet Overall pickup Lidar laser mapping system Very stylish looking Cons: Poor pickup on carpeting (not the bots fault *as this is a brushroll design fault) No lip on the bumper to prevent scratching of *the lens with the sensors Robot will not move across rugs or carpet *with the mop pad attached so it needs to be *placed in the room you want mopped. The software is a little buggy Aside from the few annoyances however this robot is quality built and does not seem cheap. ECOVACSHOME just needs to make a few modifications and it would be perfect! For what you are getting it’s worth the money and a life saver for busy households.

4.5 stars- works great!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works great! 2,000sqft all hardwood home, two dogs/kids that shed, drop crumbs (why are you walking around while eating?!), and track dirt and fine sand inside nonstop... it’s amazing how much debris accumulates in 24hours. The mop works as a fine silt duster- which is all I use it for. I was also surprised that it learned how to get over our transoms- 100yr old house with tall 1x6 pine transoms. Took it 10minutes of trying, but it actually learned how to walk up them and now it goes over them easily. Very cool. The object detection works great- doesn’t bash into anything or scuff the walls/chairs. Setting up no-go zones, rooms, order of rooms to clean, etc. is intuitive- which is good since there’s no instructions. The vacuum senses where carpets are, marks them on the map, and automatically increases suction when it’s on them- or avoids them when mopping. Very neat. 3hour battery life is needed for my house- takes 2 hours to vacuum. Really does a phenomenal job, is not very loud, and really it actually learns how to get around. We run a full house vacuum in the morning (2hours), and vacuum/mop living/kitchen area at night (20min). The cons: The bot does not sense when it’s dust bin is full- kind of an oversight for a premium priced product. So yes, I have an auto-empty base, but the bot doesn’t know when it needs to go there. Easy fix would be adding a line in the advanced schedule so I can schedule when it should empty. Example: clean this half of the house the dogs use, return to base to empty bin, resume cleaning. Even in the app the “empty bin” button sometimes disappears. The dust bin also empties from two ports instead of one- so women’s/animal hair can get stuck during auto-empty. The app is a little buggy. If you leave it open on your phone and go back to it later, it likely won’t work. Close the app, log back in. The “empty bin” button disappears sometimes... don’t know why. The bot falls offline sometimes. I have Orbi’s WiFi 6 750 mesh system in a wood framer house- I have WiFi 100LF+ outside my house. They only drop off for a moment and resume and I’ve only noticed it when I’m in the app while it’s cleaning. I believe this is an app issue, not a chipset/WiFi issue. That said, I’m keeping the bot. I poured over tons of reviews and videos and I already knew about the cons, so these weren’t a shock. It really does a great job, and vacuuming the house everyday makes the lack of detection for when the dust bin is full a nonissue. For a combo unit (vacuum and mop), I don’t think there’s a better option. If I only wanted a vacuum, I would have spent the extra $300 for the S9+. The kids are really intrigued by our families first robot, so they make sure their floors are cleared before going school- an unexpected plus!

Love it, best quality of life improvement ever
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Freaking amazing, I upgraded to this from the irobot 960 and this thing is so much better. It's a lot quieter than the roomba, it maps my for plan really well, i also had a lot of issues with the roomba getting stuck under furniture and this one hasn't done that once. The moping feature isn't designed to work like you would normally mop, instead it's designed to do a wipe down of the floors every day while it vacuums. Once your set it all up and have it run every day it's really just fire and forget. The station empties the dirt into a bag that can hold a lot. The water container holds enough to last several days and the mop pad can be used for several days before it needs changing. I do wish best buy sold the accessories like bags and more mop pads but they are available on Amazon (or aliexpress if you want them really cheap). Now I live in a 1k square foot condo and I don't have pets but I am in a wheelchair so I track dirt and crap in every day on my wheels. I have this set up to run in the morning while I'm at work every day and it works amazingly well. I wash the mop pad, refill the water container and clean the filter once a week. I haven't had to change the bag yet but I've only had it a month. I got it on sale but even at normal price it's cheaper than a comparable irobot which wouldn't mop. Again I love this thing.

All in one Beast
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're like me and hate stuff sticking to the bottom of your feet this will be invaluable to pick up. If you are willing to put the time in to maintain your little bot it will keep your floors clean off one run a day. This was a great all around purchase no matter how I look at it. The cons are something any model you look at will share, so its more of a forewarning. Pros: Mapping is dynamic and will adjust to moved objects while still remembering the full layout. It will get over high thresholds. At first it might nit be able to but give it some time, it will try to spin near it and eventually get up and over. Later runs will have it just speed right up and over. Suction is amazing, no problems with anything on the floor being left behind from dust, hair, coins, and it will even pick up socks ( and immediately tangle the main brush causing it to stop, but just goings to show how hard it goes) Mopping feature is great, it's not a daily thing for me but it makes a noticeable difference with how much extra it picks up App is easy to use with enough features to customize your little bot to do whatever, however, whenever you want Setup was a breeze, super quick and easy. Cons: Clogging/tangling of main brush The flaps where it empties to the tower can get blocked from fully closing Water mist be emptied after every mop along with the removal of the cleaning pad Getting stuck on rugs
