It does what it's supposed to do, very easy to setup and a great product like most Elgato products. The Elgato ecosystem is pretty solid in general.

Easy to setup and use, I've had a few issues with mine but the Elgato team was quick to assist and try to get it fixed. I love how much this upped my stream quality, but still a little disappointed that I'm still having issues with the item itself (have to restart my camera several times to fix this weird filter that appears on the image, even tried another camera and it still does it). I will never go back to using a normal webcam again for streaming, but may eventually swap to just using a regular capture card instead of this due to the issues.

Cam Link has worked flawlessly out of the box. I purchased it to replace another video encoder that wasn't compatible with the new M1 Macs. It does the same job, at a lower price point and with fewer issues. I will be buying Cam Link again as we add more cameras to our setup.

This thing is awful, random freezes and crashes, barely any support from elgato or corsair and virtually no online support other then threads containing the same information "couldn't get it to work right, returned it and bought an actual capture device for camera" a Clunky unfriendly software (that doesn't work cam link will still freeze.) I wasted 4 days on this product trying absolutely everything from different cords, cameras, software all the same thing it will work when it wants to then simply freeze for no reason. Only way to get the video back is to close your capture software and re-open, only trouble is this will work about 50% of the time. The other 50% will spent either restarting till it works or unplug it and plug it back in till it works. Again I urge anyone to stay away from this thing at all cost. Just go for the gusto and get a second capture card for your camera input it will give you 100% less stress then dealing with this thing.

Please be careful when spending your money. This product stopped working 3 weeks later for me and unfortunately it is not returnable. In the beginning everything seems to be working fine until one day it the screen will just pop up all black. SMH I should’ve pay attention to the other reviews.

It stopped working after 10 months of use. It now blinks 3x and shuts off.
