paper jam error ?

I like that it doesn't eat up ink, i like that i can just pour in ink and it lasts longer. i hate that i haven’t had my printer for long and i constantly get the “paper jam” error when its the printer not grabbing the paper. constant maintenance. i do not use this printer very often. i’ve used it no more than 10 times and most of it was for nozzle head cleaning, that feature is cool though. i like that it’s not very bulky and the scanning feature works nicely. it’s okay for the price… but my issues are the paper jam error , constant maintenance.

I've had this printer for a little less than a year, and came to it from a cheap inkjet that constantly ran out of ink so I got tired of buying new cartridges all the time and decided to buy this entry level printer instead.
The good:
- Wireless printing has been great and reliable.
- Set up was pretty straight forward.
- Scanner is decent.
- Color ink is still almost full and black ink is at about half and I have printed almost 600 pages, so good milage.
The meh:
- Print quality is not the sharpest I've seen. Nothing bad or noticeable but if you are printing something exquisite it might matter for you. For my use for everyday docs it's perfectly fine.
The ugly (why I deducted 2 stars):
- Aside from the ink there is another consumable part in the printer called an ink pad (where the excess ink gets dumped) that is not replaceable and once it is used (saturated) the printer bricks itself essentially and you can't print anymore. This is not disclosed in a prominent way for consumers. It is buried deep in the manual (they probably did not want to omit it completely so they don't get sued) but it's still underhanded to not tell customers this. So longevity for this printer is a wild card if you buy it.
They tell you to call customer service but at that point it's kind of useless because all the options for service are somewhat cost prohibitive, and the worst is the printer will stop printing without advanced warning so it might be in the middle of a print job.
Which is ridiculous. A big reason why people buy these printers is to not create plastic/e-waste and this defeats the purpose.
Would I return this? No. Too much of a hassle and it's fine for now. Would I buy this again? No.
They have a more expensive model where the ink pad (consumable part) is user serviceable. You just buy a new ink pad for $15 and you are good to go. I don't know why they could not do this for this model. I guess it's to teach us the lesson of "beware the high cost of low prices."

I had this printer delivered. That was a good deal. The sale was tremendous. The printer itself is amazing. Incredibly easy to set up and the quality is perfect. Highly recommend.

I’m beyond happy with the Epson 2800. It’s allowed me to print out so many things, besides documents. I use it for my resin decals & it works beautifully.
It is so easy to use seeing it up, takes about 15 minutes. Which is basically due to filling the ink. The wireless is amazing also it prints crisp and clean. Definitely worth the price and I suggest it to who needs a good printer, to choose this Epson 2800

Phenomenal experience with an exceptional product. Setup was a breeze, compatibility with all of my devices, plus the ability to make it a sublimation printer meet my crafting needs. This is a workhouse that makes gorgeous prints.

Great printer no problems. Really easy to operate and print quality.

Hands down, this is the best printer I have ever used. Not only does it do everything - print, batch scan and copy via top feeder or single sheet scan and copy, and fax (just in case the 90s come back) - but it does all of these things incredibly well.
First of all, this printer is FAST. Way faster than a laser printer, and the ink comes out bone dry too. No waiting for a print job, and no waiting for ink to dry. The ink doesn't run or smudge when you highlight or run a finger across it.
Print quality is spectacular, even on the lowest quality print setting. The resolution of the prints in both black and white and color prints is top notch. The details are all reproduced with clarity and accuracy, and the same goes for color. Straight lines are straight and there's deviation from what you see on the screen.
Another great feature many other printers lack, is the ability to use the top feeder for batch copy making, just like you would with a giant copy machine and just as fast if not faster. Oh, and did I mention it does duplex copies too? Because it does!
Ink cartridges last a really long time, and the off-brand replacements are both affordable and equally as effective. This is another huge plus since most printers these days are trying to rob you blind with the ink refills. Not the case here.
The printer has a very small footprint for how much it does, and doesn't look too bad sitting on the desk either which always a nice bonus.
Multiple paper feeder trays allow maximum versatility and efficiency. This printer will print up to 8.5" x 14" paper sizes.

Fantastic printer, easy to use, and the ink usage is way lower than the other guys. This is our 2nd Epson, my wife has one in her home office and now I have one.

Good printer with bottles system for ink that last longer and very easy to add. Printing process is a little slow. Uf you are not in a hurry, you will be fine

Easy to set up. Print quality is great for regular printing and photos. Love not having to worry about changing ink cartridges all the time. I was happy it was on sale.
