Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the EcoTank ET-4850's print quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup. Many appreciate its compact size. While some users find the noise level a bit high and have experienced challenges with the document feeder and scanning functions, the positive feedback on printing and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most. A few customers also mentioned the printer's price point as a potential drawback.

This printer is compact, it has everything I need even a fax machine. It was very easy to set with the step by step instructions. I mostly print from my phone which is very easy to do with this printer. It doesn't take up much space and it works great. A little loud but that's not a deal breaker for me. It will take me a while to learn all of the features but that's true with any new electronic or device. The eco Tank feature is what really sold me. so far so good.

The printer is everything I had hoped for prior to my purchase. Its small foot print was a definite plus that was a very pleasant surprise. The print quality is great.

I like this printer. It was easy to set up and use with all my devices. I have used it quite a bit and the ink tanks are pretty much at the same level. I would have had to change it already if used cartridges. The size is perfect, it sits on the corner of my desk, no more walking to the printer/scanner. The software was easy to install. As far as I can tell this is the best All-in-One printer I've owned, and I've owned a few.

Love the fact that I can see how much ink is left in the printer and will know when I need to buy more. That was the frustration with my old printer is not knowing when to buy more ink. The printing speed is fast. Takes up a lot less space compared to my old printer with a depth of about 14 inches with the output tray pushed in and a width of about 15 inches. I periodically have to fax items so that is why I selected this model.

The Epson EcoTank ET-4850 is a great home office printer. Setup was quick, and instructions were easy to understand. The size of the device was my initial concern. Fortunately, it sits comfortably on my desk by just being taller and having more depth than the average personal printer. The ET-4850 is packed with features. It isn't perfect, but executes exceptionally in many departments. The most important aspect is how does it perform with print jobs? Print jobs finished in a timely manner and with great color even for double-sided printing. Scanning produced high quality images, and the document feeder worked as normal. This Epson printer is very robust in connectivity with Wi-Fi capabilities, ethernet port, and USB cable option. Unfortunately, you're not supplied with a USB cord or ethernet cable, but they're inexpensive items. One desire is for the printer to handle photo printing better. This is not intended for that functionality, but the ET-4850 is very close to being the last printer you will ever want to buy for your home.

I read a few of the reviews (some good, some bad) but this printer has worked really good. It was easy set up; good print quality; and compact. It's louder than I expected but overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

Good but noticeably slower than the Workforce Pro series. Scanning in particular is really slow, as is double sided printing. Aside from that, it is definitely more compact than the Workforce Pro, and has the same decently solid build quality. We'll see if the cost savings in ink are worth the speed tradeoff.

Copies come out very crisp and the colors are amazing. It's a nice size and just right for my personal needs. I don't have a land line so I may return it for a printer that does not have fax capabilities.

Small compact printer. It does a decent print though a bit slow. I had a lot of trouble setting up the printer with wireless wi-fi. Geek Squad had to set up for me. Plenty of ink with the printer.

I had the et4500 for about 6 years. This newer model has some great improvements. Touch screen, front paper drawer, faster printing, easier filling of the ink. It also take up a little less space on the desktop. So far (3 weeks), it is a great printer.

This is a great concept for inkjet printing. Included bottles will probably last thousands of pages. Print speed is pretty fast and the bottom paper tray holds around 100-150 pages. No issues with scanner or copier either. I printed a few 4x6 images and they print slowly, but look fine. I have a dedicated canon photo printer which is still better, but this costs a lot less per photo and still looks ok. I was able to set it up via apple airprint and windows wireless printing, never needed to download any software or drivers. I connected the printer to wifi from the printer itself and didn't use the app. The app seemed clunky. The printer is a lot smaller than i was expecting, which is awesome. I needed something smaller for the space I had.

There are a lot of good things about this printer but a few bad things so far too. I had some difficulty understanding what I should be opening to access the ink tanks. I felt like a dummy when I finally understood I needed to open the entire scanner mechanism rather than the scanner lid. Not the fault of the printer but that of the operator! I have had to run the inkjet cleaning several times as I was having clogging of one or two of the blue jets and I would get large ¼ inch lines across pictures> Well, maybe it is OK now. I just ran a couple of runs of 50 with lots of colored images over the last two days and they were perfect. I do like the size of this printer compared to other Epsons I have had. I really like the new way to fill the ink tanks. A 100% improvement from earlier Epson inktank printers! If the ET-4850 continues to work like it has the past couple of days I could add a 5th star.

This printer although small in size to my other printer it prints is great. I love this printer Epson ECO Tank 4850 because it dose not use as much ink as my old HP. Also the cost of ink for me is better with the ECO-TANK. Thanks

Wow- already have printed over 125 pages and barely put a dent in ink. Love the compact overall size and ease of setup. Previous 3 printer purchase were HP but this Epson has been much better in cost per page. Highly recommend!
