Setting up this printer was fairly easy and did not take very much time. The install process for the software on my computer took a little while, but it wasn't confusing. The only problem I ran into was connecting it to my internet network. I connected it directly on the printer, and although it connected, it said the signal was weak. When I tried to search for the printer through my computer, it said it couldn't be found. I had to bring my laptop downstairs and connect my computer with a USB cord and setup the network that way, and then the signal was strong and my computer identified it just fine. Not really sure why that happened, but glad it worked out in the end. Secondly, I'm so glad I can finally print something without having to bring my laptop downstairs each time. The printer is super quick, and I have not received any errors when trying to print anything. It properly shows up as the first option in my printing options. UNBOXING: The EcoTank Pro ET-5850 unboxing experience was super easy – a couple of blue tape tabs to remove from the printer (nothing unusual), plug it in, and hit the power button. The touchscreen on the front makes it easy to walk through the digital setup steps, including setting up the network connection, which I almost always have problems with – but not here! PRINTER: I’m impressed with the screen on this thing, it’s like using my iPhone, high quality, large, and touches register easily. Filling the printer up with ink is easy – the bottles are keyed for each color type, and have a safeguard to prevent overfilling. It’d be difficult to mess this up too badly. The no-drip technology is truly no-drip, and I’ve had no problems with messiness or anything like that with this printer. The printer definitely needs a dedicated home for being setup on – it won’t live on a shelf fir periodic usage. PRINTING: This printer is definitely meant for heavy users – it’s a big device, and can print many pages before needing a refill on the ink. The printer does a stellar job with printing photos on photopaper, but is more than capable of easy black and white printing. SCANNING / COPYING This thing has a great auto document feeder. It was easily able to scan large stacks of documents and then share it to my computer. Combined with the printing ability, this printer is a beast for copying too. I was not sure what to expect when I received this printer but,I am overly satisfied .Set up takes about 45 minutes the 1st time and then for each computer/laptop you want to pair it with you can add another 10 minutes each.The 1st laptop I connected to requires you to download Epsons driver and utilities software.Everything you need to use this printer to full effect is included in the bundle.While I was downloading the software I turned on the printer and following the simple touchscreen instructions was easily able to get the printer connected to my network and start printing.Perhaps the slowest part of the process is filling the ink tanks and then charging them.Expect about 9 minutes to complete the charging process.After that you can explore the abilities of this machine . Download the iPrint Epson app from google play and it is also simple to pair with the machine to allow you to send commands to the printer from anywhere.This printer is fast and quiet compared to my other printers .The fact that I can get 6000+ pages out of a full ink charge is fantastic.I was so tired of constantly buying cartridges for my other printer.The touchscreen is very user friendly and intuitive.You can use standard or 11x14 paper and the trays hold 500 sheets !Very easy to get this thing going ,even for an old 58 year old caveman like me.“This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850 Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I received this product a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did! This product is so easy to set up! This product works better than any one I have ever seen! There is nothing about this product that I dislike! This product prints perfect every time! This is an excellent all in one. The print speeds are amazingly fast and high quality. There are two different paper trays for simplifying printing to two different sizes of types of paper. An added feature which I was not expecting is that the tray the prints collect on, automatically pops out when you print. This is a great little bonus since I like to keep it closed and often forget to open it before printing. Since this is an EcoTank, it comes with enough ink for over two years of printing. No more messing with cartridges. The sheet feeder on top makes it very easy to copy, scan or fax multi-page documents and the internal address book makes it easy to save your most frequent addresses and phone numbers. First things first. This printer is super simple to setup. Its pretty common sense really. I pulled off all the tape holding things still, Released the printhead, filled the ink resovior with the ink bottles and set up on my network! Easy setup and install, meet small office user’s requirements, printing quality is good!

I would like to know how to get on the list to do a beta test for this printer.

Not as user friendly as my HP 8600. Still working on print quality. Star may get added if quality improves. Nothing can help its user friendliness, except for time.

this is perfect if ur working for Business I recommend for Retail that have to print a lot
