A step above my previous ink jet printers!

After years of using an HP ink jet printer, which was good, IF the cartridge lasted long enough to complete projects. The high cost of replacing cartridges compelled me to 'refill' or buy 'refilled' ones. Whether any $ was saved is questionable. I know I tired of buying bulk ink, dealing with the mess of refilling, and even then finding that cartridges just became worn and failed. I decided to go for more $ to get this Epson, and it has been great! Easy setup followed by great performance confirmed my decision, and with hundreds of great photos and other color documents I've only added a little black ink to bump up its level. The wireless feature enabled me to put the printer in a closet freeing desk space. The only feature that I would like to see would be a larger display screen, but since it's only used for setup and manual operation, I have no problem with the present design. Wirelessly I can print from my PC as well as from any portable devices...and I only scratch the surface of features the unit has. I recently purchased the same printer for a daughter in Texas. I ordered on line and Best Buy delivered in two days!

I purchased this printer after speaking to Best Buy employee. It is everything he told it would be. I have printed everyday stuff that I might print, made copies both color and black and white, scanned, and printed pictures that look like they were professionally printed, the printer is amazing and easy to use. At first I felt the cost was really high for a home printer, not so at all when I stopped and figured what I spend on ink in a years time compared to the cost of the ink for this printer. The ink is a high quality, but is less expensive then ink for other printers, it lasts longer because in the bottle plus you are getting a lot more in then in a cartridge. I figure that with just the printing I do at Christmas time what I will save in ink will pay for the printer. The quality of the printing is far better then what I have been using in the past. Highly recommend this printer for quality and savings.

This is a nice printer and I like the fact that you don't have to run out and buy ink cartridges every month. The ink is supposed to last 2 years. I did have one issue with network connection because it wanted to bounce back and fourth between my network and my xfinity guest network. Which I had to call Comcast to have it disabled. That fixed the problem. and now I can print wirelessly with ease. The print quality has been great and I am pleased with this printer.

I purchased this to provide an easy-to-use printing solution in a SOHO setting. Not having to purchase frequent ink refills is a welcome change; setup on my WIFI network was a snap.

Bought Epson printers before and always got great printed photos. This new printer out performs my other two Epsons. Love the quality on the printed photos sent from my phone.

My printer started banding after only 2 months of having it. It gets so bad that you can barely make out some words and sometimes even pictures.

Heard about this Eco Printer from Kim Komando on the radio. I was skeptical at first then went to BB to check it out. Nice solid little printer. I bought this. Brought it home and with in 1/2 hour I had the ink comtainera filled and ready for action. I was worried about how the wireless would work as prior posts from others seemed like it could be the death of someone. Hooked it up and not a problem. The first thing I printed was 120 Tri-Fold folders on both sides. Full color with black. After messing a few pages up I got it down. After printing I checked and roughly used about 1/8th of black ink and the colors never moved. I will say about the only thing that's irritating is that every time I print you get a dialog box that Reminds you to check you ink levels often. Other than that excellent printer

When I first read about the Eco-Tank series of printers I was interested as my existing Epson has great print quality, but burns through ink relatively quickly. The prospect of paying more for the printer, thus not having to subsidize a cheaper printer with higher ink prices, seemed appealing. Printer is faster than my previous printer. Photo quality isn't quite as "photo like" on the same paper (a little shinier, not 100% borderless) but for my purposes is an acceptable tradeoff. I have a daughter who loves to craft and print pictures, so now I don't have to worry quite so much about whether that latest printout will exhaust the ink. Wireless works great on my home network with my computers and our phones and scan and quality is acceptable considering the price. Long-term ink use and durability are yet to be seen, but so far so good.

Having read a few reviews about this product I was worried about a few things that would have applied to me. Someone mentioned that the printer had problems starting up and connecting. So I read the instructions carefully before I started to set up. Know that when you unpack the machine you'll need to fill the ink, turn-on, select language, press and hold "ok" button for 3 seconds, press the blue button and literally wait 20 minutes. Don't turn it off because it will just prolong set-up; I didn't but that's what it says on the instructions. It connected to the wi-fi without any problems after it was done doing the ink load. I use my printer for a number of things that some might consider trivial. I have small children and print out activities, family photos on sticker paper, sticker items for my daily journal/calendar/ routine/toy storage. I had an HP Photosmart printer I purchased over 4 years ago, previously a bundle of color and black ink would run me at about 60 bucks on a sale day to almost 70 so this was a good deal and I feel good about the waste it produces. I hated those old cartridges. The speed is ok. The quality of the photos is pretty good and consistent with my older printer maybe just a tad better. Also if you are looking for a self-feeding printer because you make copies of several pages they have a similar model with a feeder for a higher price. I am also not aware that this printer faxes, and I don't see why it would unless you are paying for an online server for faxing online documents in conjunction with your computer. It is great if you are looking for a printer that will cut down on waste and produce more than older cartridge models.

Easy to physically set up. Easy to install on computer (although it took 30 min because of updates) prints great although slower than my last printer. Ink savings will end up being the big winner here.

After having an utterly terrible time with an HP Deskjet and black ink cartridges that wouldn't work, I decided to try a different brand. When I saw Epson had this tank system for the ink, I was intrigued. Further research showed that the average cost of ink is $13-$75 per ounce depending on cartridge manufacturer! Ink is wasted every time a printer cycles up and it varies from printer to printer. Yeah, ink costs more than gasoline even. So when I saw a 3.5 ounce refill of ink for this Epson was only $12 or so, and that you could print thousands of pages on one fill, I figured I had nothing to lose. I've had the printer now for a few months and have had no issues. It prints just fine, it is wirelessly connected to my computer and has no problem communicating with it. For the average home use I'm putting it through, it's exactly what I need and has left me with no worries no matter what I'm trying to print. The only gripe I have is the vertical paper feed, but that's minor.

I was looking for a printer that worked well with my Apple devices and that cost-effectively used ink. My last printer was horrible, ink cartridges ran out very quickly, and finally just stopped working for no apparent reason. I researched All-in-one printers before going to Best Buy. I had two in mind. When I checked my decision with the Best Buy salesman...he agreed that I made a great choice...and his second choice was the other that I had in mind. This printer was very easy to set up. I can wirelessly print from all my devices. It prints very clearly. The scanning technology is quick and easy. And it is great on ink. Highly recommend!

The printer was easy to set up, including network, and has performed flawlessly since I purchased it just after Christmas. I love the endless ink wells and not having to mess with cartridges. I print on it at least once a week just to keep things in motion and am very pleased with the print quality, ink usage, and overall performance. I've printed regular documents and 4 x 6 photo's. No jams, no color issues, no problems. I've not had great luck with ink jet printers in the past so I am cautiously optimistic this printer will be around for quite some time.

Brought this printer and so far we're satisfied with this product. My husband was the one who suggested to buy it. We were having second thoughts about getting it at first because of the price. There were others much cheaper but then after comparing, this printer would come in cheaper as the ink refills are not as expensive compared to the other printers. Its also a size we appreciate since its not too bulky. Prints come out great so far too. We love the convenience of being able to print from our phones very much! Would recommend this product!

I think the upfront cost will turn some away but the thought of no more stupid ink cartridges was very appealing to me. The printer does a great job and is easy to set up and use. This is my first true wireless printer and love that I can network any computer to print. The ability to print from my iPad or iPhone is attractive and worked without a hitch. I haven't printed photos yet so can't comment on that. Getting rid of my Canon was kinda nice... Heavy and old and no more printer cables (and Canon would not support windows 10...)! Very pleased.

I've been keeping my eye on this printer ever since it was release, based on the good reviews and the fact I've spent more money on ink for my HP printer than the actual printer I decided to try out the new eco tank Epson. So far so good, no issues to speak of. Like other people have mentioned there is a 20 min ink priming procedure out of the box but its not bad. Printer connected to wifi right away and my iPhone had no problem finding it on the network. Windows 10 laptop found it right away also with no additional drivers needed. Would buy again

Uses less ink than any other printer I have ever used. The print quality is superb. And its was so easy to set up, even the wireless. The key here is the ink consumption, I would have gone through $100 worth of ink on my last printer. I'm still full of ink on this printer. Well worth the initial price, I will have saved money on ink that compensates for the price. Good job Epson

This is a great printer for home or small business! The greatest feature for me is that the ink reservoirs last quite a long time and are inexpensive to refill compared to cartridges. Also, the quality is great, and it has wireless connectivity. Even though you pay more for it initially, you save a lot of $$ on ink replacement in the long run....Very happy with this purchase.

I print documents every other week. Not every day. So the printer sits inactive for days. In the past I have always been disappointed in how short the life of my ink and toner was. Not with this printer. It so flawless and the seems to last indefinitely. The wireless feature is also so awesome. I can print from my phone or iPad. Very easy to set up. I would definitely encourage you to purchase , in fact I'm buying a second one for my son to take to school.

I bought this printer to replace our second HP Photosmart. I wanted a printer that would last more than 2 years AND conserve ink. I read alot of online reviews of this printer prior to purchasing, however, I must have overlooked some of the annoying features. This printer does not have a paper tray. You must top load the paper prior to printing (not a problem if your printer sits on a desk; mine is in a cabinet). Set up was not as easy as described and took longer than anticipated. I think the print quality could be better (color seems muted but maybe it's the paper I'm using?). There is a 10-15 second delay between the time you "print" and the print job actually commences (this was noted in a few reviews). I've not yet scanned or printed photos so I can't comment on those 2 areas. I wish this had a fax feature. Overall, the printer is ok for my home use and the ink savings will be worth the "negatives". 4 stars because of the Ecotank feature.
