This scanner is far better than I expected. It scans both side of photos in the event something is written on the back. The color correction is amazing! Photos from the 60's and 70's look like they were just taken! Black and white Photos from the 40's came out crisp and clear. The scanner also scans double sided documents and come out clearly. I definitely recommend this scanner.

Wow!! I had heard about this scanner from a friend who recommended it. I was blown away by how fast it scans, how amazing the built-in enhancement option is, the fact it scans both sides (to capture info on back of photo and how easy it was to set up and operate. Totally worth every penny. I've only owned it for about a month and scanned about 1000 pictures so far, so I don't know how often it needs cleaning or a new roller, but regardless -totally amazed. This is one gadget that won't give you "buyers remorse"!!!

A friend bought this machine for photo scanning and we were impressed with its capabilities and ease of operation. It is easy to operate and the quality of the scanned photos are excellent. The speed is quick and it makes scanning a large volume of photos a very easy process. The price offered by Best Buy was very competitive.

the FASTFOTO FF-680 W scanners; it is a scanner of great quality and of good price; quickly scan 35 photos horizontally with a beautiful color and brightness; works wirelessly for cell phone and tablet by means of interneth; first black and white colors; color and grays. very good scanners. I recommend it.

Recently, I decided to make the big commitment to scan all of our family photos. After much research on scanners I bought the Epson FF-680W. Could it really scan as fast as they said? Yes, it can. Would it be worth the cost? Yes, it is. The size is very compact. Not noisy. Easy to connect to computer. Easy to load. I’m not very computer savvy either
Oh, I got the photos scanned.

I am amazed at the speed and quality of the pictures. Since I have Polaroids, I used the protective sheets that was provided. That sheet had a defective line on it so I contacted the company and they sent a replacement quickly. It allows you to rotate it, keep a copy of the original and a copy of a corrected image. It is small and compact compared to the flatbed scanner I had previously.
Hands down the best option for family photo projs.

I've got a big family photo project going on which I was using a flatbed scanner to do the job. Even with multiple photos on the bed it would take a few minutes to scan and organize the batch, and it there was info on the back, I would have to deal with that as well. This one takes a stack, scans them all in seconds even at 600 dpi, scans the back of any photo with writing as well, and automatically gives an AI improved image as well. I don't always keep the AI image, but it will often be better than the original. They're named similarly, so they stay together in the folder. I wish i had bought this a year ago. It would have saved me dozens of hours. The only problem is with tiny photos and photos on very thick cardstock like postcards. But I separate those out for the flatbed. It's also more portable and takes less desk space than a flatbed as well, so it's easy to take to relatives' houses to scan their photos.

This scanner is awesome. I scanned and cataloged about 6,000 pictures in no time. The scanner only takes a few seconds per image and it scans both sides at the same time. This allows you to grab the handwritten notes on the back of many pictures. Very good quality and easy to use.

If you have boxes of photos to scan and store digitally, this is your answer. We have used it to scan hundreds of pictures directly to our iCloud photos. At 300dpi it is super fast, but the quality is much better at 600 with a slower pace. The price is extreme, but it has worked very well.

I inherited roughly 300 pounds of aging family photos that were desperately in need of digitizing before they faded away. These photos are a chaotic mix of sizes and thicknesses from the 50s and 60s, making uniform stacking nearly impossible.
While I try to group similar sizes for the feeder, the stacks are never perfect. Occasionally, a smaller photo feeds at a slight angle, but it’s not a big deal. A quick crop in Apple Photos fixes it.
Is it perfect? Well, no. I had occasional jams and had to clean the optics on the scanner one time. But before this, I relied on a flatbed scanner. The sheer monotony of that process was so soul-crushing that I never actually made progress. With this device, I blew through 1,500 photos in under two hours. I still have three massive boxes to go, but for the first time, there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you have a mountain of memories and hate tedious work, buy this. It’s still a project, but compared to a flatbed, it’s a total game-changer. You won't believe how fast you'll finish.

Is a wonderful photo scanner. We purchased this scanner to scan a lot of old photos. We really like the speed, the number of photos the hopper will take, and the auto scanning of the back of photos that have writing on the back. Also the scanner software provides a scanned version and an enhanced version of the photo.

I thought about this one for a long time back and forth while reading different reviews for quality and ease of use. Well as far as quality goes, I believe it is second to None but since this is my first one, I guess that is a little hasty.
Ease of use, well that is another story, using it to scan a batch of pictures of about 35 each time. Great, smooth and it gives you 2 copies of each photo to compare which is the better picture. I would like a feature to put “Enhanced” pictures in a separate folder and then when you wish to pick the best picture then put them side by side. It has A LOT of functions but also has videos to walk you through the steps. I thought long and hard on this device because of the high price compared to the others, however with maybe 2,000 photos from my fathers after he passed away, I will save time.
The time to complete this task, being able to have face recognition and training videos to walk you through the memories I believe was well worth the $$$.

This scanner is a beast! I was able to scan 2,000 family in the matter of a couple of hours. The software it comes with automatically fixes red eye and gives you a scan that is unaltered and also gives you an inhanced scan of the photo. A bit pricey but just pricing services that do photo digitalization tends to get expensive very quickly and there’s a risk of losing your irreplaceable photos in transit to the digital company.

I have thousands of prints that need digitized. I had flatbed picture scanner before and it was slow, it would require months of time to scan them all. Fast forward to about a decade to now. This scanner is fast, putting a stack of pictures for scanning it only takes a couple minutes. The scanned quality is really good as well. It also able to upscale the solution with its software, but I found it done minimal to the quality. I upscale and denoising using third party denoising software and the quality got much better. The price is steep but you are paying for speed and quality.

My mother bought this so that we could scan and keep all the photo's she has acquired throughout the years... She had 95 of them up until this past Monday. This scanner is very fast and is exactly what we needed to ensure all the family gets copies of these treasured pictures.

Fast, easy. Perfect for high volume scanning done fast. Comes with good supporting software.
Note, if you want a special picture scanned at higher quality, a single high-res scanner would have better color and nuances, like an Epson Perfection V39. It's slow, but great for special images.
