It feels like Epson built good hardware but paired it with poorly optimized software. If they streamlined the user experience and improved software stability, this could easily be a great scanner. As it stands, it’s frustrating to use and takes longer than it should to get simple tasks done. Almost Perfect Functionally, but Too Expensive

However, the scanner intermittently pulls documents and photos in at an angle, despite me setting the correct size for the feeder. As such, I am knocking off 1 star for that. In terms of what this device is capable of doing, it should really be priced between $60-$100. Because of that, I knocked off 1 more star.

It kept telling me that the scanned image was blank. It just didn't work for me. The Epson Scan Software worked great, I used it for several years on the ES-200 model.
