Absolutely the best in its class! Has Energy saver, remote sensing, cool mode, econo mode, sleep mode, Auto fan, 3 speed, remote control, front panel controls. One of my big requirements is low DB's. Runs nice and acceptably quite! I bought 2 of these 6,000 btu units and 2 of the 8,000 btu units. This is the 6,000 btu. Not a disappointment!

Bought unit for master bedroom which is always hotter than the rest of the house. Very easy to install, not too loud for a bedroom. Very happy with the unit.

The window unit replaced a 12 year old unit and a new portable unit I tried that was defective (not purchased at BB). Love the features that allow for enery saver, fan only, auto fan. Unit was easy to install, cools great and looks good. It's a Frigidaire so I expect it will last a long time and run efficiently. I use the remote all the time!

A Best Buy as this modern marvel @ 6,000btu covers 250sq ft. and is literally one of The Best items we have purchased via BB. Actually, we love its modern look and operation, we are considering purchasing another.

I've bought several of these over the last 2-3 years. Newer models are smaller, lighter and more efficient than old models. The 6,000 BTU unit is good for a small or moderate size bedroom. It runs quiet and keeps the room nice and cool for less than $200. I have several window units and have worked at replacing one each year for the last few years. Most of them are Frigidare now from Best Buy now and working good.

This is an easy to install and use A/C that fits in tight spaces. The compressor and fan are quiet for its size. Compressor engages as needed only when cooling. Fan runs constantly to recirculate the air inside my room. On the outside, the exhaust vents must be free from debris or foliage in order for cooling to occur inside my room.

I purchased this AC unit at the beginning of the summer and used it for the entirety of the summer. I started out in a 1 bedroom appartment, kept this in the living room and it kept my entire apartment nice and cool without jacking up my utilities, the energy saving feature works great! I moved to a 2 bedroom with a less open floor plan later in the summer, however my earlier statements remain true, kept in the living room, needed a fan to get it into my bedroom but it still worked really great. Very easy to put in and take out by myself.

This AC was purchased for a 2nd floor bedroom. The unit is easy to install and works well. It is a little noisy. We usually turn it on at night to cool down the room. Works great and comes with digital controls and a remote control. I would recommend it for a small space. Also it’s small so there is no condensation build up or water dipping out of the unit.

This is a really good air conditioner for our bedroom. It's a little noisy but I have it on good authority that all the new air conditioners are. The best one for quiet was made by Sharp and they are no longer in business. That being said, the air quality is consistently excellent and the room keeps nice and cool. There is an alert that lets you know when you need to clean the filter (usually 30 days or so). When using the economy setting you should set the temperature a little lower than what you would think. Otherwise keep it on cool. This is very energy efficient. I love the remote and timer feature as well. All in all you can't go wrong with this unit.

So the unit works well, easy install, and will definitely bring down the temperature of the room. Put a fan in front of it, it will bring down the temperature of multiple rooms. But...it loses a star because of the cheap sides, the part that goes out to block out the rest of the window. Seriously, beef that up a bit and charge me another $5 for the unit, because you're spending the next hour after you're done with the install trying to not see light coming around those things....

Bought for it's compact size...was unsure if BTU would be able to really cool down good-sized stuffy living room. It's keeps room so cold, actually put on energy saver so it will turn off automatically when it reaches whatever temp I set it at. If I didn't do this is because freezing! Remote nice feature

I bought this after reading several other reviews here. it blows cold, works great in a medium sized bedroom. Its quiet and has an effective energy saver mode. Also, first time I've purchased a unit with a remote and I'll never buy another without one. The filter is very easy to clean compared to other models as well.

Easy install, keeps cold, and is very quiet. Remote control makes changing settings extremely easy! Bought the protection plan to cover potential electrical problems but I expect the unit to hold up for longer than that!

This is a replacement to a 5000 BTU Frigidaire that was in my kitchen. (That unit was working fine until my husband dropped it of the window. Nice.) This is 6000 and it's a new model, like 2 of the other 3 we have (8000 and 12000). It's much quieter than the 5000 we had. No problem with installation. Lightweight, easy to install. We also recently bought the 12K BTU model S1 (see my review). I have been using the "auto" fan feature. It's been so hot and this seems to really cool down the room. It starts of with a high fan and then drops down as the room reaches the desired temp. I use it with the economy mode. We own 4 Frigidaires. It's convenient because we can use any remote for either of the units. I would recommend this one. Our kitchen is only 15 x 15 and this keeps it cool when set at 67 degrees.

So far (couple weeks) this unit has performed well. Install was easy in a bedroom window and it keeps that room cool as well as a small hallway adjacent to that room. The remote feature is much more handy than I thought it would be and I will never have another unit without one.
CONS: Not a lot of gap filling rigid foam was included...one more piece like the one provided would do the trick. Also, when removing the unit from the box, the heat dispersal fins on the back of the unit became damaged/bent. They are far too fragile to not have some type of covering provided that protects them during box removal and installation.

This is a nice, small, and quiet air conditioner. It is fairly light so it's easy to install. It handles a 12x14 room with ease. You can set the temperature with the remote and it will completely turn on/off. Nice feature at night when the outside temperature drops.

Frigidaire A/C for my home office. 6000 BTU's. Good size for smaller rooms. Remote a plus. Economy mode a plus. Last long if well maintained and a good value.
