It looks fine over my wall oven, which is a different brand. I am still getting used to it, and so far I have only one complaint: I don’t trust the “Sensor Cooking” buttons. This is based solely on my attempts to reheat cold mugs of coffee. Instead of being reheated, the coffee ends up literally boiling hot. So hot that oven mitts need to be used to pull the coffee mug out! In fact, through trial and error I have discovered that it just takes 25 seconds on “cook time” to reheat my coffee in a mug. I don’t trust the other “sensor cooking” buttons to bake a potato or a vegetable, for example, so I’m not using them. I’m keeping a really close eye on the Defrost button, too.

We're sorry to hear that the sensor cooking buttons aren't working as intended. If you haven't done so already, please take a look at page twenty-one in your use and care manual and utilize your warranty to get this taken care of. GE_Appliances

We bought this to replace a similar model that had the stainless steel trim. The old one just started failing from time to time (would spin, but it would not heat). This one has virtually the same features. It did require a new mounting setup, but we were able to use the old "stainless" outer trim (and it looks good). Installation was not difficult, but you will want to take a little care to make sure the mounting brackets are properly positioned. It heats very well (at least as well as the last one), and it's not at all noisy. The buttons are very responsive. The only problem we have is that it is difficult to read the labels on the buttons. At first glance, you would think it would be clear, but it's only clear if you are pretty much looking straight at it. Ours is mounted under the counter, so we have to crouch to read them. The old one was not as difficult. Thankfully, they are in the same layout, so we were used to their position.

The exterior feels more like plastic compared to our old GE Profile microwave, which had a metal exterior. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems like the exterior is made of hard plastic instead of glass.

This microwave is good and bad. I had to get it because my original same model microwave broke after almost 4 years, which is too short in my opinion. It is the one that fits the matching trim, so I had to get the same one again. It works fine, but not sure how long it will last.

Hello. We appreciate you reaching out, and we’re glad you like the microwave overall. But we do hate to hear that your last microwave broke – we regret any inconvenience this might have caused. Notice of your experience will be sent to our team for review. Please note that our trim kits are model specific and can change over time; if you need to replace your microwave, the old kit may work if the model is the same, but generally we would recommend obtaining a new kit to go with the new microwave, as it’s possible there may have been design or part changes since the last one was installed. We’re confident this microwave will serve your needs well for a long time to come, and we’re always glad to help if you have any other concerns or questions. All the best! -Sarah@GEA GE_Appliances

    Replacement microwave

This is a replacement microwave for one purchased in 2016 that started malfunctioning in 2020. I was not advised to get a new trim kit, as the slide in rails had changed. The second trim kit recommended was not for a GE microwave, but I was assured it would work. Wrong! Finally, 3rd trim kit. YEAH! It was perfect. But we had not fully unpacked the microwave (our mistake) until we saw the rails fit on the bottom correctly and the corner where the power cord is attached is totally crushed. The microwave works so it was installed anyway. Hopefully, it will last more than the previous 4 years. We love the microwave!

Honestly, I love the look of this microwave but I couldn’t rate this item because it does not fit the GE 30” trim kit. Microwave is too wide so I have to return it. Trim kit is model cx153m2ns5. According to the instruction booklet of that trim kit the only model microwaves it fits is ccwk15c1 or ceb515. You’re welcome.

I have had GE products for years and the GE mico-wave this was replacing was 20 years old and just didnt well heat anymore. This is much larger (2.2 Cu. Ft. ) than prior unit at at 1100 watts you can pretty much warm/cook anything - a small turkey would definitely fit. I took off 1 star due top panel not lighting up when used (at this price it should I think). Since I was installing in a cabinet the power cord was a tad short in my opinion - I could not fit my arm in to plug it in - I had to use a high grade extension to be able to plug it. I do recommend but if placing in a cabinet expect to do some "cutting" to fit it in. And probably will need the trim kit too.

This microwave replaced an older version we had. It looks pretty nice and it is easy to use. The only concern I had is that in heating milk for coffee, I thought the sensor would control the heat. Instead, I had to stop it when I saw the milk boiling and continue to run.

The microwave is very nice. It is sleek, very big inside, and looks very nice in my built in space. My only complaint is opening the door. The latch is not easy to use, sticks when you try to open it. Otherwise it is ok.

I am hopeful that it lasts. I had another one that died after about 14 months. That one was from an online retailer, and it arrived with a dent in the back. I tried to replace it twice from the same online retailer, and each unit they shipped had some sort of damage. I had the trim kit, which is way overpriced no matter where you buy it, so I has hoping to find a good unit to go with it. I ended up buying online through Best Buy and picking it up in person. The box and microwave were in good condition, and this one has been running well with plenty of daily use over the past 16 months.

Bought this GE Profile microwave to replace an earlier Profile with a failed control panel. This model is so very much quieter than our old Profile and the touch pad control panel is greatly improved. While this new unit has a volume control this is limited to either “normal” or “mute”-perfect for us but others may prefer a graduated volume control. This unit was very quick and simple to install using the matching trim kit. Giving the microwave 4 stars only because our existing trim kit would not work with this unit despite the two microwaves being of the same dimensions. I certainly recommend this microwave and would purchase again!

Product looks good with a glass display, which is great because the numbers and letters want wear off. It's also a little quieter than my older profile microwave. The inside is grey, which I don't particularly like, but my wife do.

We have a 12 year old version of this microwave and it finally died. This replacement and kit fit the same opening in our kitchen (surprisingly hard to find oven/trim kit combos for a specific size. Looks great in our kitchen. I short it one star as I just don't like the place they put the most-used buttons. It did not seem they put much thought into button location based on use frequency (like the cooking time button, most used of all) should be in a easy place to always find/see and it is not.

Not a fan of GE products of late. Our last Profile exploded and GE gave me $100 towards a new one. So, since it is the only microwave that will fit in that space, I ordered another. As luck would have, I also had to order a new trim kit. I installed it but now had to call GE to come out as it doesn’t open all the time.

Had to replace my current GE microwave with this one that is similar. The unit looks good and has the same feature from my previous GE unit from 10 years ago. Nothing much has changed between the two unit spaced a decade apart other than the looks and the different trim to do a cabinet install.

Expensive but very good size for a built in microwave, I am waiting for the trim kit to arrive. The only issue for now is that the product manual is a two page quick setup, as delivered on the package. You need to go online at GE web-site to obtain the 22 page manual guide in PDF format. So far so good.
