Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has performed so poorly for you. It’s no surprise that you’re frustrated, considering you’ve spent hours attempting to establish reliable wireless as well as wired connections. I want to help you resolve this problem, so I’ll direct you to some applicable resources.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. If you prefer to investigate the wired connection, on the same page you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. You can find that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If you need further assistance with connectivity or anything else, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

Great All Around Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the HP Neverstop MFP 1202w Wireless Black and White All in One Laser Printer. HP has always been a great reliable brand of printer for the last 20 years. I remember having a Laserjet Printer in high school. This printer is a great continuation of that same quality in 2020. It took less than 15 minutes to set everything up. I downloaded the very handy HP Smart App. You can use it to copy scan, print photos etc all from your smartphone and it gives diagnostics on the printer as well. Printers always used to be very cumbersome back in the day and I feel like HP has taken the printer and more it user friendly and accessible for anyone. My mom could easily use this app and navigate the printer with 0 problems and that what makes a good product. The printing speed of the fast, and the printer is responsive to all commands. I've had zero issues so far. Ink lasts for a long time supposedly that will take months to test but all in all I am very happy with this printer. It does exactly what its supposed to do and then some. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Excellent features & Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the past few days, I have been trying to use the HP - Neverstop MFP 1202w as often as possible. Does the price reflect the features and performance? Yes. This is HP’s new toner refill style printer. HP claims 5000 prints right out of the box with a 15 second refill at 60% savings on toner. While those claims are hard to test in a short period of time, even if the printer gets close to those figures then this is quite a nice step up from previous printer standards. Now, all those things are great… However, I believe the best part about this printer is the modern feel. Technology is starting to standardize how things work. In other words, if your “insert anything” doesn’t connect to your smartphone, then its likely lagging behind. We have gotten so used to the ecosystem of our smartphones that even something like a printer can use them to simplify processes. For example, setup. I didn’t connect a single cable outside of the power cable to any other device. Instead, I did the setup process on my smartphone following very simple steps. The printer uses two main options for connections: Wi-Fi-Direct, where the printer communicates with your device independent of your in-home Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi, where the printer connects to your in-home Wi-Fi. Then, almost any device also connected to your home Wi-Fi can use the printer. The latter is the option is what I decided to stick with after trying out both. Here’s why. Any device capable of downloading the HP Smart app will instantly recognize the printer without needed to setup again. That’s massive for me. After my fiancé saw my shiny new printer, she instantly wanted to start printing things. So, I assumed I’d have to do the setup process again for a new device. Nope, because the printer is already setup and connected to the same Wi-Fi as her smartphone, it was instantly setup for her. Same for my laptop, desktop, iPad, her laptop… See why this is actually more useful than you might think? Setup once, never setup again. As far as printing performance goes, its excellent. Most importantly is very fast and consistent. I’ve had other printers that a few pages into a larger print job will start to print crooked or fainted. Not this one. There is also a nice, simple screen with some essential buttons on the top of the printer. That way if you just need a quick copy, you don’t need to get into your phone. I can’t stress enough how great it is to have an app on your phone that you can use to dig through files and print whatever you want. PDF’s, pictures, Word documents, PowerPoints… Basically anything stored on your phone. Sure, you can also do that with your laptop or desktop, but you could always do that with any printer. The game changer for this printer is the ease of connectivity between ALL your devices. This printer is highly recommended if you want to be able to print from any device and have a smooth experience without the headaches.

Nearly Flawless!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having my fair share of experiences with printers before, I've utilized a variety of the "name brand" printers out there. We all the brand out there, sometimes it can be difficult to decide what printer might be "best" as this depends upon the purpose of it's use, the setting it will be used it, and particular "everyday" functions, and more. Firstly, the "look" and "feel" of this printer is pretty good. It's about the size of an typical medium size office printer. It would probably work best in a office or small workplace type of setting, particularly for an individual or a few who don't require faxing functions or color printing. For printing multiple pages, copies or quantities of things (like a lot), this printer may be what you're looking for! Not only does this HP printer get jobs done quickly and quietly, but the quality of the printing is pretty good, too. On top of that, initial set-up is pretty easy, straightforward, and can be done by downloading HP's Smart App on your smart device or on your computer. Additionally, "re-filling" ink looks like it's a very easy process and I'm eager to try it out without having to worry about printer cartridges. I can definitely foresee myself using this printer for my work and everyday printing for the next few years! One thing I would "add" or like to see with a printer like this is color printing, which I imagine isn't too far away in the future. Awesome job, HP!

Decent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a nice standard printer/fax/scanner. You have to connect to WiFi and or print through the HP printer app. Me and my family have probably used it 10 to 15 times since I purchased it in 2021. Every single time we have used it it’s given me issues with the app or connecting to WiFi. It was almost $400 when I first purchased and I wish I purchased a color printer that was a bit simpler to use. I am not very technically inclined so it may have just been me and this printer might not have been a good fit for my needs and lifestyle. Overall really nice but too expensive and difficult to use.

Economical and works with Linux
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall quality is excellent for a laser printer. The overall value is excellent. The overall ease of use is good. The two main reasons I purchased this printer was for the lower cost of "refueling" (using toner versus using ink), and that it can be used with the Linux operating system. The printer comes with a full "tank" of toner which is good for printing up to approximately 5000 pages. There is a visual lighted toner indicator that lets you know when you need to add toner. You can buy a "syringe" full of toner for approximately $15 which will print approximately 2500 pages. If you are using a Linux operating system, it will be useful if you have a good technical knowledge of Linux or if you know someone that does. The setup for me was challenging because I am a Linux "newbie". The instructions that came with the printer looked pretty good if you are using the printer with the Microsoft/Apple/Mac operating systems but not so good with the Linux operating system.

Great value laser printer that has been Neverstop

HP MFP 1202w
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP printers I have used over the last 20 years have been tanks and virtually indestructible. This is all plastic, doesn't hold a ream of paper, and has what appears to be a cheap feed system. But I trust HP and so far it has operated well. I just don't know about longevity.

Great until Warranty expires
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer in April 2020. Worked amazing and did everything I wanted until today, June 17th, less than 2 months after the warranty expired, when the power supply completely failed. I contacted support and after trying a few things they recommended I buy a new printer. With no ability to replace the power supply myself due to no replacement parts, I am screwed. This exact same thing happened with my last HP printer except a different part failed 2 months after warranty. I should have learned my lesson. If you do buy this printer, buy the extended care package because HP products are designed to fail after 1 year.

UNRELIABLE!!!!!!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very unreliable printer! I have to troubleshoot this printer almost every day, and I have those kind of skills! It's a total mess! Mine is only a few months old and I'm ready to throw it away and buy another NON-HP printer!

Never Worked Wirelessly!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Background: Microsoft certified, Cisco Certified and 22 years of IT experience. I purchased the Neverstop MFP 1202W thinking its a nice little printer for home use and boy I was wrong. Here are the issues: 1) The wireless printing with Orbi Mesh network will never work unless you play around with channels and switch the 2.4hz from Auto to 8 or 11. 2) Once you fix the #1 the printer constantly goes to sleep mode (default is set to 1 minute which is crazy and now I have to go to setting to figure it out. 3) The documentation and support is useless 4) This printer is pretty noisy when it scan a simple page or warms up. 5) warm up times is lengthy where as my "Brother" printer was only 3 seconds. 6) Paper try is horrible and flimsy and you can easily knock it out 7) At this price range, you can not get duplex printing unless you manually run your paper (Are you kidding me?). 8) After playing every trick on the book, I still can't figure out how to print wirelessly on this device because once he goes to sleep, the status goes off line and it changes its setting. The "Neverstop" should be changed to "NeverWork"...this is going back. I will switch back to the Brother printer...much faster, sleeker and whisper quiet.

NEVER START
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NEVER START not NEVERSTOP...reinstalled the driver three times. Does not want to connect via WIFI. I have spent more time with software update and re-install that I went to replace it. Staples would only give me 2/3rds of the price. What a piece of junk.
