    Useless service. They dont do data transfer or help you with anything. Basically just pick up your phone, why did i have to schedule a 30min appointment to pick up my phone. On top of that the manager was rude and treated us like we were stupid when we said anything about settiing up the device. Just get rid of this option if all they do is give you your phone. I wouldn't have waited til the appointment time if all they are going to do is give me my phone. Included actual screenshot of description from best buy service

    The Geek Squad swapped out the original 512 GB SSD for a 1 TB SSD and then transferred data from my old HP to my new Dell computer's SSD. Everything was done in about 24 hours. However, I could not access all of my files although I knew that they were on the drive by checking the drive's properties. I had to call the Geek Squad and have them work on this problem along with some minor issues. The technical agent was able to straighten everything out remotely in about 1 hour. Now everything is working great.

    Does this include data transfer? Very misleading

    Service people were great - no issue at all there. My issue is that they wanted to charge $40 per phone for data transfer. My purchase showed in-store mobile support and setup. The service shows an icon that indicated an arrow into the phone and an arrow out. That to me meant that setup included data transfer. In some of the reviews it showed that they were including data transfer. Something is wrong here.

    Good service but blind spots in young techs

    Needed to set up a new Samsung phone and transfer info from my ancient slider-keyboard phone (about 8 years old). The techs were great-- helpful, professional, and persistent in trying to find an app that could transfer my contacts list. In the end, they were not successful. I went home and my husband transferred the contacts to the memory card and then moved the card to my new phone. Success! Funny and surprising that the young technicians didnt even think of this old school solution. Old age wins again!

    I ordered the iPhone 11 and picked it up in your store the same day. I got a text advising there was a problem with my order. When I called the number provided, the wait time was 2 hours! Since I was already at the store when I got the text I just went in. The phone was at Pick Up but they couldn’t get the computer to finalize my order. Thank goodness the Verizon tech figured it out and finished up my order.

    Great service. I have transferred data many times and this was the most complete data transfer I have ever had done. The only drawback is it is time consuming and the phone came out of the box with a lower than typical battery which didn't help the process. However, this is not something the retailer can control.

    Let me start this by saying the employees at the Wilson, NC store were GREAT and super helpful!! However, when I booked this appointment the website said it was for 30 minutes if I recall correctly. Since I had over 4 years worth of data and stuff on my phone, it took about an hour just to do the transfer between the old phone and a new one. Total, I was at the store for around an hour and a half. The employees did everything in their power to speed things up, but I think there should be some sort of warning when booking this type of appointment that it might be a lot longer than 30 minutes depending on how long it takes to transfer things from an old phone to a new phone. For reference, I was transferring everything from a 4 year old iPhone 7 to an iPhone 12 mini.

    Mobile Setup

    The In-Store mobile setup went well. The Samsung Tech person was knowledgeable in assisting me to transfer items from the s9 to the s21. I had a lot of data on the phone. However, the data transferred over pretty quickly. Next time, I am going to transfer some of my data to my computer.

    I ordered a phone to pick up in the store and I also made an appointment for setting up my new phone. I wasn't told online where to go in the store and I ran from Geek Squad to Mobile to Pickup and back to Mobile. I had three people at various times helping me set up my new phone and transfer my data. Thank goodness they were competent and got the job done.

    Everything transferred which was nice it just took a long time. Like probably 2.5 - 3 hours. I even left at one time to run an errands to kill some time. And weird because it was my contacts, calender and notes being transferred.. nothing crazy. But other than that the tech who helped me was awesome!

    The gentleman who helped me was incredibly kind and knowledgable. My reason for 3 stars is for the fact that i waited for 3 hours to transfer information from obe phone to another. My problem waa not with the fact that it wpuld take a while but for the fact that the staff is not trained to go over that with the customer befoee the process is started. Prior to trading in my phone i believe it was pertanent for someone to let me know what the process was. If i would hqve had that information i would gave backed my phone up to my computer before coming in. I instead was told that staff prefers customers not leave during the process. Therefore i gad to sit in the store, during a pandemic, for 3 hours with my newborn.

    Purchased my new iPhone and arrived for my appointment the day before Thanksgiving, a very busy day! But, my phone was ready for pick up and Jaeden greeted me for my appointment right on time. There was a bit of a problem transferring my data from my old phone, to the new one probably because there was so much data. It took an unusually long time to complete, and want to give Jaeden a shout out because she maintained such a positive friendly attitude throughout. Never once, on what I know was a busy day, did she make me feel less than important. She went above and beyond to make sure the set up was completed perfectly before I left. That is great customer service! Thank you Jaeden for making a long day so much better.

    Tried hard to help with product setup

    I ran in to some problems with Best Buy setting up my equipment that was beyond their control. They really tried hard to help and spent a lot of time on this. I ended up finishing the setup at home using an iTunes backup due the fact that an instore WiFi download would take many hours.

    Overall I am enjoying my phone, however, not being the most knowledgeable person with electronics, there are features on this phone I don t understand nor do I know how to use.I wish Samsung would include a more detailed set f directions for this product

    I wasn't super happy with the mobile setup and support. When I bought my phone online for an in-store pickup, I was offered free mobile setup and data transfer. So I scheduled an appointment. However, when I got to the store they tried to charge me $40 for the service. I had to pull up the email showing that I signed up for free mobile setup and data transfer. They ended up doing the service for free, but I did not like that they tried to charge me so much for it. Especially since I setup an appointment for it to be done. Once they did help me out, the data transfer was very quick and easy.

    Iniitally wondered if our appointment was going to happen even though we were on time... Started slowly... Took 2 hours at the store to get phone setup (iPhone to iPhone)... Glad to eventually find the transfer and functionality was as expected.

    We had little trouble with the picking up of the order and the activation of the phone but Brian and Henry got it done for me. Took a little longer but they kept me updated and I left with a fully activated and transferred iPhone. More impressive though was Ayman. While I was there a very elderly gentleman came in with an iPad issue. He couldn’t get into his account and was obviously very confused. Ayman not only was very patient and helpful but he got it working for him and showed him how to keep it logged in. He even retapped his password paper to his case so it wouldn’t be lost. Excellent work by all 3 of these guys. They did awesome.

    The gentleman who helped me in store was very knowledgeable and helpful however when having to get on with the verizon associate for the store it went down hill. I almost didn't have a phone for 3 days but i got on with Verizon and got them to fix it since i was coming from T-Mobile

    Had a bit of trouble trying to align the new phone with account it seems the new purchase was set to the main line and not the second number line---which was done on-line as agent explained is not very user reliable for certain purchases!

    I would have given excellency service but I had to go to the sprint store to get my phone service turned on so I could use my phone. The service at Best Buy was great. But my phone stopped ringing for calls, then the next day I didn’t receive any text or send any!
