I purchased this to use with an LG tv, but a few days later I lost the remote for my samsung tv. It took less than a minute to program the remote for my samsung tv and less than a minute to switch back to the lg tv! It does not have buttons for the hub on smart tv's, but those features are still accessible from the tv menu so that is not a big problem. Great universal remote, could not be easier to set up.

THis universal remote was the easiest to program to the TV of any universal remote I've ever used. Great value for only around $12 if I remember right. *Weird side note * when I first was using this remote, it didnt realy work. The buttons were sticking or something. I'd go to turn up the volume a couple notches, and next thing I know, my TV would be at full blast. I was getting really mad until one day, it just worked perfectly out of nowhere. Since then, no problems.

However, if you need a remote for also controlling a DVD/Blu-ray, look at one of the other models or the other Insignia. This does not seem to be able to program for these type of devices, only works for TVs and set top boxes such as a streaming player.

The price on this remote was excellent and performs the functions we needed for an extra TV. No issue setting it up either, ran the codes according to the directions and setup was completed in no time!

I have a complicated double process between my TV and FiOS. But this remote works just fine with minor sacrifices. For example, I can't forward in 25-second chunks; it's confusing to get back to live TV when you pause or rewind; it takes a while to master the Roku processes like pausing, rewinding, etc. Overall, I'm very pleased with this universal remote and recommend it.
