Customers express satisfaction with the Roomba s9+’s cleaning performance, mapping features, suction power, ease of use, self-emptying capabilities, and pet hair removal. However, some users note that the robot can be noisy and that its navigation system and battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the robot's reliability and the relatively high price point. Overall, the positive feedback on cleaning and convenience is prominent, but potential buyers should consider the reported drawbacks.

The best robot vacuum to date
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this Roomba. I have owned so many different robot vacuums from earlier versions on the Roomba, Neato and D Bot and all of them had their pros and cons but the biggest con all of them shared was the bins got full fast! I have 2 dogs and 5 ferrets so my house is always hairy and the bins filled up after every vacum run, sometimes they would get full before they were done cleaning and you would end up with hair balls all over the place because the vacuums bin was full and couldn't pick up the hair. With the s9+ this issue is no more with the vacuum base, after every cleaning the roomba will dock and clean out its dirt bin, if the roombas bin gets full mid run it will go back to the dock, clean its bin and go back out so you always get a great cleaning! This is truly the closest vacuum that I can say is truly hands off. I have the change the vacuums bags about every 1.5 months give or take but I send my Roomba out every day and I have multiple animals. The app is great and very easy to use and you can create no go areas and section off your house in rooms. You can even go as far as telling roomba which order you want it to vacum rooms! If the roomba gets stuck, not only can you play as sound to help find it but you can also look on your phone and it will show were the roomba is at on your home map! I also got the Brava M6 mop which is iRobots new smart mop, they will actually talk to each other so I can send Roomba to go vacuum and as soon as its done the Mop will go out and mop the area. Overall I HIGHLY recommend the s9+, Yes its expensive but it's well worth the money!

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great....when it doesn't get lost or stuck. That being said, you can add "no zones" to the map to keep it out of places/areas it is prone to get stuck.

After 10 months, finally a functioning robot.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this based on the experience of friends with a large shedding dog. Since we have no pets, this seemed like a no-brainer. I was wrong. It took 3 passes of the house to draw the map. I partitioned and labeled the rooms, then set up routines. On command, the robot would wander aimlessly about the house, ignoring my commands. Then it would get stuck with an Error 31 message. Tech support told my to do reboots which didn't solve the problem. Then it was a hard reboot which erased my map, so we started over. Eventually it couldn't run for 5 seconds without experiencing Error 31. To tech support's credit, they ordered me another robot. However, it was on backorder and there was a 6-week wait. My new robot arrived, mapped the house, and obeyed the commands. However, it began getting stuck with right wheel errors. It was moving erratically and couldn't extract itself from under tables and chairs. These became more and more frequent until tech support finally sent a new right wheel. Replacement was super easy and now my robot is operating smoothly and as initially expected. Credit iRobot - they stand behind their product. Tech support is easy to get ahold of and super responsive. The main reason for the 3 stars is the pain it took to get here. The technology is slick but either it's not ready for prime time or quality control is lacking on the hardware, firmware, or software sides. However, when it works it does a decent cleaning job.

Great timesaver!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love waking up and seeing vacuum marks on my carpet in the morning! Very easy to set up and use through the app. This vacuum does a great job at vacuuming on both my tile floors and in my wall to wall carpet. I don’t have any area rugs so I can’t offer any insight there. I also love that it empties itself. With my other roomba, I had to check it every time I used it to vacuum because I had to clear out the dog hair. With this model it is not an issue. Love!!

My wife loves it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently brought it and its amazing, we were able to vaccum and mop at the same time and can select the intensity as well. The only drawback is we are not able to select the map of two level in our house. Everytime I do that, it looses it aorientation and we have to scan the floor again. Although die to LIDAR, its easy and fast but unable to select the previously scanned floor level is a bit hassle.

Must have for people working from home.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum makes life so easy. Once you set up your zones, you just schedule it to run and it keeps your house spotless. Have a poodle and a pet door and that means lots of leaves in the house. This robot picks up everything and leave my wood floors shining. It automatically pull in the trash and let's you know when the bag needs to be disposed. Very little maintenance and I love it.

Great machine! Perfect for dog owners.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a great job regularly keeping the house free of dog hair. I have 2 pugs who shed a lot, and everyone always comments how my home is free of dog hair. The vacuum defaults to medium power, I recommend setting it to 100% full power to ensure maximum suction. This requires it to charge several times during a cleaning job however it doesn’t matter because it automatically docks to charge when necessary. The replacement bags usually last us 3 weeks, so I also recommend having a few on hand.

i7+ works better with minimal intervention
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There was a sale running on the s9+ and Braava M6, and having already owned a Roomba, I figured I could use a Roomba on both floors of my home. The only pro of this Roomba over the i7+ is that it has better suction power. It really pulls up the carpet and gets all dust and pet hair. To be fair, the i7+ works well enough. Cons... it gets stuck all the time. I came home to 2 shredded runners in the hallway, and the Roomba "stuck" in the middle of a room with no obstructions. It also doesn't clean corners and edges all that well with the new shape. My laundry room has had the same lint in the corner of the room for days until I finally hand picked it. Since purchase over a month ago, I probably only had 2 successful runs where the Roomba didn't get stuck. I brought the Roomba back today. It's not worth it. Save your money and get the i7+.

Very thorough vacuum cleaner!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this automatic vacuum cleaner! Set it and forget it. With 3 golden retrievers I would be spending so much time just vacuuming. When this machine works correctly it saves me so much time. This is the best present I ever bought myself. Every now and then it has some type of functionality problems dealing with connectivity. The manufacturer has replaced it whenever I've had issues that I was not able to get resolved.

Should feel more premium for the price.

Great iRobot Vacuum even for non techies
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am far from a techie and was a a bit concerned about this purchase. I am so in love with it and am really pleased with how good it picks up all the dirt. I had the first generation of the Roomba so never thought I would buy another again but heard great things. I will say the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it gets stuck on the throw rugs if they are thick. I have set it to avoid them on the app but before I learned that it was a pain. Great purchase, well worth the money and a time saver for me to spend more time with my family!

You won't regret buying this for your place
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The s9+ is perfect for my 1600 sq. ft. apartment. Question a lot of people have is if it can vacuum a big space. Part of it depends on the space as well as the suction power you use on the Roomba. At medium setting, it can do about two rooms per charge. Nice thing about it is it'll just go back to the base station and recharge if it needs more power. The automatic dirt disposal is also a big plus.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I should have bought this a long time ago. I love that this device is easily programmable and you can set and forget it. I have limitations with bending down and getting under furniture and this machine is powerful and transitions nicely from hardwood floors to carpet. I was skeptical regarding the capabilities on carpet and it is just as efficient as my dyson. I highly recommend this product!

Great Vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although very expensive, I believe well worth the expense. If you are a very busy person whose does not have time to clean the floors everyday, then this vacuum is for you. This is my second roomba. My first is over 10 years old and still running like new. The S9 is more powerful and if you have pets it will clean up all the hair with ease. I love that it empties its bin itself and I can tell it which rooms to clean. Very happy with this purchase!
