Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Roomba s9+’s cleaning performance, mapping features, suction power, ease of use, self-emptying capabilities, and pet hair removal. However, some users note that the robot can be noisy and that its navigation system and battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the robot's reliability and the relatively high price point. Overall, the positive feedback on cleaning and convenience is prominent, but potential buyers should consider the reported drawbacks.

I bought this product a while ago. It is in great health and works like the first day. Cleaning help is greatly appreciated. I had no issues using the app or using Alexa for voice commands. I bought a second one for my mother and it is still in perfect condition. I usually program to use the roomba first to vacuum the room and I send the Braava after to each room. They are a perfect couple. It vacuums well under furniture, unless they are very low. The app works well and has constant updates that improve performance. It does not harm to the wood-like tiles, perfect cleaning in ceramic tiles, keeps the floor clean. I have changed the brush once, the filter once and the main collecting bag twice ( I use it about 2-3 x week, large house and we have a small dog) I would buy again with closed eyes.

I was extremely excited to purchase this. After a short couple of months, the robot stopped working. There was an internal error. I did get it replaced under the warranty. The new one works better than the old however my requests to clean are usually “lost” per the app and I have to try numerous times before the request goes thru. Also, the dang thing always says the bin is full and needs to empty?! I did have to map two times. The first time it missed basically my entire family room. Not sure how that happened. It’s convenient for in between thorough cleanings especially with 4 kids. It is loud and when emptying the bin it’s very loud. Sometimes it still goes into areas that you’ve already marked as places not to go. Overall, it’s definitely not worth the price. A cheaper one would’ve been just fine and would’ve done the exact thing that I wanted it for. My expectations were very high for this iRobot; maybe that’s why I’m disappointed.

I love this vacuum. It automatically runs 3x a week and we do nothing! Our floors are always clean, which is a huge help because we have a dog that sheds like crazy! The only downside is the noise. It is much louder than we anticipated, but we can handle that by scheduling it during the day when we are at work.

I love this thing! The kids names it Dusty :-) I had an old roomba years ago and the bouncing from wall to wall and never getting the entire floor was super frustrating. We have an open floor plan and it just couldn't do it. Plus filling up with dog hair every few minutes was also a pain. Fast forward a few years and then come the s9+! This thing is seriously amazing. Once it maps the house and you setup your rooms and barriers it is set and forget. I setup a routine and it just goes. I run it about 2 - 3 times a week and the bag lasts close to 30 days. (fyi don't buy Roomba bags there are much cheaper alternatives to be found) I have a mixture of hard wood and carpet, mostly hardwood, and it handles both and rugs extremely well and you can hear the motor spin up while on rugs and carpet. If the battery gets low it goes back to charge and then resumes exactly where it left off. If you spill something in the kitchen just tell it to clean the kitchen and off it goes to clean up after you. I also bought the M6 mop and together my floors have never been so clean.

Vicky, yes we named her Vicky. does a great job of vacuuming. Mapped out the house and you can instruct her to vacuum all the rooms or one room. Connected to Alexa so you can tell Alexa to tell Roomba to Vacuum. Vicky even empties the bin when back at home base.

After a few days of use, It stopped vacuuming and started asking to clean the brushes (the brushes were cleared). After a couple of calls, technical service sent a replacement part and it is working fine since then. I ended up with a sense that the product is delicate (certainly expensive) and I double check for any left object that could get tangled in the brushes. Otherwise, it cleans very well.

I love it !!!! And I didn’t even want it! She mapped out the entire house and took quite a while but after about the 4/5 times it now takes less time for her to sweep. She only got hung up once. I would certainly and highly recommend this product and have recommended it to many friends!!

Imagine giving a toddler a vacuum. You have to supervise everything, right? That is what using this vacuum is like. Get everything up off the floor, secure all wires, make sure your rugs are secure and not too high and thick (it will get stuck on uneven surfaces), or thin and bunchy (it will suck up fringed edges and rug corners). Then put it to work, and hope it doesn't get stuck anywhere. Works best in spartan rooms with bare floors, and it really gets in the corners. It's ok on rugs--large carpets are best--but a beater brush might get your pile carpets cleaner. I love that it gets under furniture and cleans corners, but honestly, you have to do so much work to get a normal house ready for this thing to run that most of the time it's just easier to pull out the old upright and do it yourself.

I had been shopping for new Roomba floor sweeper & checked it out before purchase. Very pleased with it’s performance & the fact it empties itself. It is a big improvement in performance over my old Roomba. So far very happy with my purchase

THE ROOMBA 9+ PICKS UP OUR HUSKIES DOG FUR, BUT THEN ENDS UP DROPPING IT, IN ANOTHER PART OF THE ROOM. ALSO, THE DOGS FUR, GETS STUCK IN THE ROLLERS. THESE AUTOMATIC VACUUM’S REQUIRE CONSTANT MAINTENANCE, AS THE ROLLERS KEEP NEEDING CLEANING; THE DUST BIN ALWAYS SAYS: “EMPTY THE BIN.” ALSO, DIRT FALLS BELOW THE DUST BIN, NOT CLOSING ALL THE WAY. THE ROOMBA IS ALWAYS SAYING: “CLOSE THE BIN, CLOSE THE LID.” WE ARE ALWAYS HAVING TO BEND DOWN, PICKING UP THE ROOMBA, TO CLEAN IT OUT, ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER. IF A PERSON CAN’T BEND DOWN TOO EASILY, THEN THESE TYPE OF AUTOMATIC VACUUM’S, ARE NOT RECOMMENDED, AS THEY “ARE NOT MAINTENANCE FREE.” THERE’S ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING WRONG. AND, WE’VE HAD OURS FOR ONLY ONE MONTH, AND THE ROLLERS ALREADY NEED REPLACING. THE AUTOMATIC VACUUMS, ARE ONLY GOOD FOR PICKING UP DUST.

It's been almost a year since purchasing this robot. Use it almost every day in a 2300 sq ft home with 3 Aussies that SHED. Works like a champ! Hardly any fur floating in my home and the floors always look clean. Manages to keep wood floors and small carpets very clean. It's my BEST friend!!!!

By far one of the most essential purchases I have made in my life. If you can get over the price shock, you will not be disappointed. It cleans my entire downstairs(approx. 1,400 sq ft.) on a single charge. Most hardwood floors. It almost does my entire upstairs (approx. 1,400 sq ft) on a single charge. All carpet. The bot increases power when it senses carpet. Having 2 young kids who only know how to make messes, this thing is a life saver. I do like seeing the lines in the carpet. The one negative is the mapping if you are planning to do multiple floors. The bot did not map my upstairs corrective the first 2 times. Third time a charm. Appropriate positioning of base station is important to successful mapping and likely contributed to failed attempts.
