Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the Roomba s9+’s cleaning performance, mapping features, suction power, ease of use, self-emptying capabilities, and pet hair removal. However, some users note that the robot can be noisy and that its navigation system and battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the robot's reliability and the relatively high price point. Overall, the positive feedback on cleaning and convenience is prominent, but potential buyers should consider the reported drawbacks.

Very convenient!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it almost daily in the rooms with doors. It takes a long time to clean areas without doors as it’s somewhat random in the way in the way it cleans. It cleans well, though! It was a bit pricy, I like the convenience of the self emptying bin! So didn’t mind paying for it!

Best robot our family has had
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After about 2 months this thing is still performing like it did when we bought it! There is the occasional power cord issue (c4po tries to eat them) but other than that it hasn’t gotten stuck and cleans the carpets really well. I have had many models of roomba in the past and this has been my favorite.

Not that great, too loud
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I didn't like: 1. Kept getting stuck under chairs. 2. It's too loud. 3. Not that great for a large house. It did not finish its mapping after many runs. I wanted the kitchen area cleaned but it would not go there because it wants to map the same area everytime.

Love, but wish it had reusable bags
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this vacuum! Excellent suction power and keeps my floors tidy despite having 2 large dogs and 2 toddlers. The only thing I wish is that it had reusable bags/bin. I have to switch bags often (says it will hold 60 days, but I have to change mine mid week). I do run it almost everyday.

Welcome to the family!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had issues with my Roomba i7 sucking up its parts. Yes, twice our wonderful addition to the family lost, found and sucked up it’s floor tracking sensors. This time I decided to upgrade to the Roomba i9. It does a pretty good job. However, it is very noisy. But, I’ll take the loud acoustics for a well vacuumed floor.

Still has flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed both of my Roomba vacuums. I still use my older 600 series in a couple of smaller rooms. The new one has the feature that will empty the bin into an attached bag. After 95% of the jobs, I have to intervene in the "empty" process. I have been using the Roomba vacuums exclusively for the past 2 years. After adding the new S9+ a couple of months ago, I worry that the previous 600 series was doing a very poor job of deep cleaning. The bin of the S9+ has a ring of dust at all of the edges and must be cleaned by hand before it can be sent to do another job. Overall, it appears to be following the mapped areas and doesn't miss any large spots. It is somewhat inefficient at cleaning larger rooms - it will go the long way on half of the room then change to the opposite direction for the last portion. I wish the app would allow you to tell it where to start in a room - it starts at the door & cleans away from it then makes a long pass across the freshly cleaned carpet to exit the room. Another nice feature would be a "quick clean" to freshen up carpets in a shorter amount of time. The rollers on the S9+ are so much easier to clean & do not collect near as much hair on the main part of the rollers (girls & dogs have lots of loose hair).

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love!!! We upgraded from our Neato to the Roomba S9+ and were not disappointed. We love that we can clean more than 1 room and a time and have the Braava follow behind. It took a couple trips to get the map perfect but it was worth it.

Phenomenal, but not a replacement
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would buy again. Works great, leaves the carpet looking great, does okay on hardwood. The app is great! Just keep in mind this isn’t a substitute for a thorough cleaning. There are sometimes errors to deal with as well, so it’s no perfect.

Roomba S9+
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You want a Robot that can replace an upright vacuum look no further Roomba S9+ has the same the same suction power as an upright vacuum but with the smart's of a robot clean's better because reaches places you can reach with an upright like under beds.

Roomba not set and forget.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roomba works relatively well, but takes a while to map the house. Get stuck in the same spot. Seems to do a good job. Green roller on bottom got torn and have order another. No one store seems to have all the supplies to support this unit. On a bright note, floors do look cleaner.

Carpet - 3/4" deep Roomba s9+
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Things I didn't find in other reviews are listed here. My situation: I have 2,000 square feet of 3/4" deep carpet with two areas of tile - the entry and the kitchen. We are two 60 year old adults who do not have pets and do not wear our shoes in the house - so no pet hair, no crumbs or cereal or legos on our carpet. We don't have a lot of furniture or clutter. How it worked: 1. On our tile kitchen and entryway the Roomba s9+ worked very well after it mapped the area, however there were times when it did not complete the kitchen floor. That said, if I had only hardwood or tile I would have kept this Roomba s9+. 2. When I was researching my purchase I swear I saw ten or twenty hours of videos and read many reviews. This vacuum is supposed to be good on "low to medium" pile carpet. I could not find anywhere how this is defined and had no idea if my carpet was medium or high. I purchased the vacuum to see if it would do the job well. On my carpet: It did suck tiny stuff off the top well. I tested it with some dried oregano that i sprinkled onto the carpet and it seemed to pick it all up. But it just did not have the pick up of my Shark vacuum which was loaded with a LOT more gray gunk and hair when I vacuumed over the same area the Roomba s9+ had just "cleaned". The other issue that really sealed the deal on the decision to return, is that on high power the battery doesn't last very long. I asked it to clean our 20' x 24' living room and it took 5.5 hours and got stuck before I cancelled the job. It did almost all of the room by then but had to charge 3 times. I found that very frustrating and called customer service to see what I was doing wrong. Unfortunately, they informed me that if I run the vacuum on high it will take that long to do even smaller rooms as the demand draws down the battery pretty fast. I will wait until they come out with a deep cleaning robot vacuum that takes about the same time it does me to get the job done right. One note about the mapping that I didn't understand was that once you label the rooms the map is set and the Roomba s9+ does not continue to refine it. Also, as of right now (7/2019) you can only add dividers to the map, you cannot block off any areas without purchasing additional items. The feature is in beta testing right now with the i-series (not the s-series). Also in beta testing (on the 900) is a map of how strong your wi-fi signal is. Both would be very helpful features. I gave it three stars because I had to pick something - I would give it 4-5 stars for tile/hardwood floors and 2 stars for my carpet. Same with recommending it to others - yes if you have hardwood/tile floors and no if you have my type of carpet.

Great on dog hair but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacuum itself is amazing and the dust self emptying is worth every penny. Its a really good vacuum the power is almost as good as our upright. Down side we are on our second one after commutation issues plagued the first one after a week. We had some issues with our current one and had to delete the map. and it seams to be working ok for now. Another thing that is a little disappointing is run time and charging. We have a 2000+ sqft ranch. It will take all day to run the map and sometimes it doesn't even get to the whole house in that time. We have mostly thick carpet and its on high power pretty much the whole time. If we had hard floors I doubt that would be a problem. Just for large carpet owners should be aware of this.

Not great for hardwood. i7 is the better buy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good for carpet, bad for hard floors if you have a lot of mats and rugs. It sucks so hard it gobbles up the edge of the mats and gets stuck, so we're going back to the i7 which did a great job on them, but wasn't quite as good on the carpet.

Look no further!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best robot vacuum I have ever owned. It is truly self sufficient! It vacuums and self cleans right after + it does an immaculate job cleaning my hardwood floors which wasn’t the case with my shark robot vacuum. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

Love the robot except...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a great job. Floors look great! I still have to manually take it to some rooms and it gets lost at least once per week and has to be manually carried back to the base. I love the job that it does, and I guess I'm learning to live with the minor irritations.

Gets stuck easily, cleans good, website not user f
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very noisy, seems to retrace its path over and over, gets hung up around dining room table and chairs, sometimes the extra suction works while on carpet, and sometimes not. When it works, it picks up everything as expected.

Great combo!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roomba has been a game changer. Makes a simple task so much easier. I turn it on and let it go. It reaches areas I normally don’t get such as under the bed or under the couch. The dock sucks up all the debris when finished and is easy to empty. Glad I made this purchase!
