Going direct to the monitor through this allows the computer to use the high end Nvidia. The adaptor handles my 3D CADD with no issues.

We needed the adapter to give our son a larger screen for his school computer during COVID, but only had an older monitor that only has an HDMI input. The school computer only had the USB-C output, so we bought this.

However my experience at the store is a different story. This product was what I was looking for, one of the store employees that was assisting me told me that they did not have this product in the store and that they showed me another product which was about $40 more than what I wanted to pay. Set employee was very short with me and did not greet me upon entering the electronic section. Disappointed I did not trust his answer and took it upon myself to look online and found this product was in stock at this Smokey point location. I went back and ended up finding it on my own. The point is the employee was not helpful whatsoever, and after speaking to the manager apparently there was a process upon entering the store where I would be greeted and escorted to the section that I was looking for and that never took place.
