Didn't work, but only because of laptop limitation

My intention was to hook a 2nd monitor to my Lenovo laptop using USB-C to HDMI adapter. Unbeknownst to me was the laptop USB-C port was not powered and could only handle passive devices such as portable external drives, attaching iPhone to laptop, etc. So it did not have enough power to handle the HDMI signal. I ended up returning it but I am sure it works just fine in other applications
