It is good to hear that this j5create adapter he is working for you. The adapter may seem hotter than other electronic equipment that you are used to using because it has a metal aluminum casing. However, the adapter should not get so hot to the point where it shuts off. I would recommend contacting the j5create customer support team. The JCA153G is ideal for mirroring a phone to a TV. This will not work with all smartphones. Your phone will need to have a feature called display port alternate mode to be able to mirror to another display. We appreciate you taking the time to post a review.
