The JCA153G is ideal for mirroring a phone to a TV. This will not work with all smartphones. Your phone will need to have a feature called display port alternate mode to be able to mirror to another display. We appreciate you taking the time to post a review.

Posted .Charging while viewing videos can cause issues with the JCA153G not supplying power simultaneously. We do have the JCA379 and the JCC155G that allows such capabilities at the same time. It is good to hear that this j5create adapter he is working for you. The adapter may seem hotter than other electronic equipment that you are used to using because it has a metal aluminum casing. However, the adapter should not get so hot to the point where it shuts off. I would recommend contacting the j5create customer support team.
