The micro wave was fairly easy to install with the lifting and holding in place help of my 20 year old daughter. It functions as well was you would expect. It is a little louder the the GE that we had for 10 years. Other then the minor increase in noise. It works great. Use the template for proper mounting location.

We were seeking an economical replacement for our 10-year-old, top-of-the-line GE Profile microwave that suddenly died: turn-table stopped rotating & it would no longer heat contents. Given that we didn't use all of the many functions in our previous microwave, we opted for a lower-end model without all the bells & whistles -- small mistake. We have since discovered how useful it is to have a "sensor" to determine when an item is heated, and the difference that truly "one-touch" power buttons make. Note: this model does NOT have a sensor that automatically stops heating when foods reach their desired temperature. (Reheating items is based on the item (dinner plate, muffin, etc.), which requires that YOU, the operator, have to estimate how long an item should heat. E.g., to reheat a dinner plate, you have to select "1-dinner plate," then push start -- not the same is simply selecting "reheat" regardless of what you're reheating. And, in our limited experience with it, the oven seems to over-heat items than would happen if it had a sensor. This LG model seemed to meet our needs based on descriptions & reviews, and appeared to meet our anticipated usage requirements. Installation was not as simple as promised and, of course, installation holes didn't match those of our previous oven. Nevertheless, self-installation was manageable, if more time-consuming that expected. Since we haven't had it very long, and were on vacation much of the time since acquiring it, I can't speak much to how well it functions or its long-term reliability. We do miss some features that were on our former GE Profile model (auto-night light, one-touch power settings, a couple of other "auto" buttons, and, of course, the sensor) and it seems to be noisier in operation. We've also noticed that the tinge of the the stainless steel is a tad "more orange" than our other appliances (except it does match our LG refrigerator). Otherwise, we expect it to do the job as intended - mainly reheat leftovers & warm-up beverages, while we wait to see if it is as reliable as our former one.

I like the ease of use, the power, the functions and the light. I do not care for the interior of the microwave. It is not practical to clean if you have children or anyone who doesn't properly cover items being cooked. It has tiny little holes on the top and sides of the interior for splatters to get inside. I have no idea how you would clean it if stuff ever got inside all those holes without disassembling your unit. My teenager is not allowed to use it without me seeing that what's cooking is properly covered. I would have never purchased this unit had I seen the interior but I bought it online instead of going to store. Great product if you can properly cover food to cook.

it was very difficult to put this microwave over the stove, big headache! but once we figured it out, we were happy. it works great. heats up nice.

Looks great in our kitchen and works Even better. Heats up quicker in higher altitudes than lower so watch your timing. The fan is pretty loud and would have preferred a quieter fan as it runs. We chose Ventless exhaust And this feature works great as well. Again exhaust fan plus motor fan makes a loud presence.

This is a nice microwave with a very sleek design that looks very nice. Only downfall is there is no timer. All my previous microwaves had timers, and although it’s not necessary, I miss having one as I used it quite frequently with cooking. Very strong microwave that heats very fast.

Overall, very easy to use, cooks evenly and is plenty big for a busy family of 4. It is a little noisy, but not horrible for the price. Wish it had a quick button for 1 min settings.

The microwave works really well. Easy to use. The only thing I would change is a quick minute button ( only had 30sec) but all in all a good unit

Microwave looks nice and does of good job. It is a bit loud when in operation and does not have a timer.

Overall we are happy with the purchase of this microwave. Installation was easy to follow and functionality is straightforward and user friendly. My only complaint is the microwave is significantly louder than the one we replaced. It’s been 15 years since we replaced it, so maybe the noise is commonplace. Other than this one complaint everything else left us very satisfied.

I came into Best Buy, Frederick MD on a Sunday evening and had great customer service who helped me find the best priced over the range microwave oven. As I needed it quickly, he went over & beyond and managed to locate a microwave that I was able to take home with me that night. I purchased a LG Over the Range LMV1762ST 1.7 CF stainless steel microwave that my husband was able to quickly install himself. Works great and have had no issues or problems with our LG 1.7 CF Over The Range Microwave.

This microwave matches all my other appliances, that is the main reason I chose it. Microwave power is very good. I have not located a timer on it yet, but I haven’t looked real hard yet. It makes a lot of noise while running. It sounds to me like it has a fan built in to run while the microwave is in use. Which is fine, just a little noisy. Other then that it looks great and works well. Heats things up very quickly.

Works fine. Fan is a little loud. Has no timer only function. Work-around is to set power to zero for timed cook but then the noisy fan comes on. Inside is dark color so inside looks dark even with oven light on. Other than those small thins, oven works well and is attractive.

For the price this is a good choice. The presets are easy to operate. Most just take 2 pressing before pressing start. The touchpad does take a little pressure but is not uncomfortable to operate. My only complaint is that it is a little loud for my taste.

This microwave has all the functions I needed and is very easy to use. My only complaint is that it is rather noisy when in operation.

I had a 1.9 cubic foot over stove microwave before. Don't relly notice the small size (inside). I got the stainless steel look to match my LG dishwasher and Refrigerator. Price was reasonable. I used the bracket from my prior microwave as I found the new one to be a bit flimsy.

The microwave wasn't too tough to install and it works nice. It comes with a rack that you can put in the middle but I'm not sure how frequently people would use this? We took it out because we couldn't fit anything else in there with the rack in. I still have to flip through the manual but it doesn't look like there's a quick minute setting like we had on our old micro i.e. hit 1 for 1 minute, hit 2 for 2 minutes, and I wish it had that feature. Also it is louder than expected. It heats fine so we are happy with it.

Replaced a failed Maytag one. Only real down marks are 1) It is louder than the old one. Mainly the vent at the top 2) The mounting instructions could be better 3) There is no timer Other than that it's a good model

Good value for an over the range microwave but is noisier than the unit it replaced. Still have not figured out how to use "auto reheat" feature. Simply needed to touch this button on prior units.

Great microwave! It’s easy to operate and has a shelf to heat more than one item at a time. The stainless steel appearance is an added bonus ! I’m very satisfied with the purchase.
