So far functions fine - can barely read the panel

Seems to be functioning fine. We replaced a version that was a couple of years old due to moving to a new home. This version you can barely read the control panel and the words are not lit up, so giving this 3 stars. The older version we had it was easily readable and well lit up. Very disappointing to say the least.

We have had this washer for just under 3 years and overall it was pretty decent up until this past 6 months. First, the wi-fi isn't really useful since your washer always has to be on to run it. So, someone has to turn on the machine if you are not at home in order for you to connect and do what you need. Second, the knob to select the cycles is broken and won't turn to the correct setting. As a result, we have to try and figure out the wi-fi settings in order to get the machine to work on the correct cycle. And, we bought a service plan, but surprise, no one has record of it! Be careful with this over-priced machine.

For the amount of money you pay, get the protection plan on this. Luckily I did and I’ve had this unit replaced 3 times in the last several years. Issues with dampers and the hose inlets are the main issues. The detergent tray gets nasty unless you take it out after washing and let it air dry which sucks. Then the seal went several times so yeah just a bucket of issues. The tech will say, don’t use a lot of detergent, WE DONT. Yeah I would just use HE detergent, WE DO....yeah for 900 bucks it’s crazy the issues that come up especially after I’ve had 5 of these through the years....GET THE PROTECTION PLAN

Washes well however, it leaves stains on my clothes. And can not het cold wash cycle without having load take 1hr and 45minutes long to wash. Good thing its a large washer to wash blankets.

Washer worked like it was supposed to but it was not quiet at all. I think it was a flawed unit. My laundry room is upstairs and it was vibrating things on my walls downstaits across the house. It just didn't sound right. It had a loud vibration sound like a cell phone vibration sound and feel. Also when the drum spun it sounded like there was a playing card stuck to the side of it and it slapped a pool of water with each rotation. I returned it and ended up buying the LG 8100 model with dryer and they are both really quite and work great so far.

    Noise vibration issues

I purchased this washer because of its noise reduction technology, which is needed with my laundry room located on second level bedroom floor. It truly is a beautiful efficient washer, however I rated a 3 because of the noise. It sounds like an airplane taxiing on the runway or a truck barreling down the street. I can also feel the vibration throughout the house, for example when I’m sitting at the breakfast table, the table vibrates on the main level of the house. It’s such an issue that I’ve had dreams of the washer burrowing through the floor when it vibrates. If the company could offer any solutions, I would gladly try and accept!

    Loud spin cycle

I’ve been using the LG washer for a month now. The spin cycle makes loud noise and it sounds like an airplane landing. I have my doubt that the computer panel will stop working as soon as my warranty expires. Overall my clothes are clean and that the new machine smell is gone. I had to adjust to the time that takes for a full cycle to end, about 1.5 hours. You can use perm ores to shorten the cycle to .30 min. About the cost, I think it’s too expensive $$$$$ for something that won’t last 10 years or so. I miss my old traditional Maytag washer with it’s loud noise. Thank you

    Couple Problems.

Washer works great! The function of having to turn it on everytime you want to wash something is annoying, it should also remember the last cycle you used so you don’t have to select it over and over. Also you should have the option to reverse the door to the other side like the dryer but they didn’t provide that option which blows my mind… the washer would be perfect if it had a couple of these issues fixed.

Good washer some issues. I haven't reached out to Best Buy yet. Makes a racquet even when soinning at medium load speeds. Door is too sensitive if not closed properly gives errors at a few minutes and stops. Even after closing you to press gently but firmly to close. Slsmming shut pops it up a little and errors out. Could be I have a lemon. Whst does it say about QA? They opened the new box on my driveway..

For now, only 3 stars. The features are great, and the app is slick - although it really doesn’t change having to load, add soap… What I don’t like: brand new, I’m hearing a noisy belt. Even for small loads. I expect some thumping during spin. This isn’t the drum, or pump, or water feeding or draining. It’s the same sound as when a car needs a belt. Brand new? It should be silent.

I had a Maytag front loader before this one. We moved from Ohio to Florida and had to buy a new one. No Maytag available here only had LG, GE and Samsung. I bought the LG and don't particularly care for how the drum turns the clothes. They seem to sit in the bottom of the drum and jiggle around but don't get turned over and over. Also no light so can't see inside.

First delivery never showed then when it finally did the installers had taken out the washer and dryer out of the boxes and scratched them up getting them up the stairs. Also scratched my walls up. Not the best buying experience. I was compensated with a gift card.

This is the item we chose at first but I should warn you that it is unusually deep and that you should measure carefully as we realized that while this would just fit in our laundry room it would not allow the door to close, so we swapped this for a slightly smaller unit.

The washer is nice and works well overall, but the dryer is useless and leaves clothes both wrinkled and damp. Since this washer is meant to be paired together with the dryer, I would not get it.
