    I needed additional ports for my Surfboard. Just simply plug an ethernet cable from your modem to this switch and now you have 4 extra ports to plug in other devices and routers.

    A switch that is crap and actually will give you real gig through the ports unlike Netgear. I love this and highly recommend these as the switch to own for office or home cat5e or cat6

    This Linksys Ethernet switch was so easy to hook up. I used it to hook up a printer so now the AirPrint feature works great and I have more channels to hook up other devices.
